I thought I'd stop in and grab a Lee's Sandwich, I remembered how good they were, unfortunately I was very disappointed. I got the BBQ Pork, the bread was almost stale, the pork was more fat than meat and the sandwich was lacking the dressing/sauce very dry.... They have gone downhill, the franchise needs to get them back to what they were!!!

We all go to Lee’s sandwich because it’s convenient and cheap, not when we want good foods so I already set my standard bar lower than average. I got there at 8am to get some fresh foods supposedly. But NO, the almond croissant I got was dried and hard, like it was from last night batch. I was too lazy to come back to make a formal complaint. The trash bin it went.

Rude employee. I came in and was waiting at the front counter for a while. I just seen a older lady in back rushing to make the food. So I was being patient. Finally about 5-6 mins of waiting at the front counter a man walked in to order and Immediately the employee came out and started helping him and making his drinks, completely ignoring me. I told the employee I was actually here waiting first and he smiled and tried to brush it off. I was surprised with the amount of disrespect. It’s definitely worth just going to a different Lee Sandwiches in San Jose because I’ve only had problems at this location.

I love Lee's Sandwiches from the food to the friendly CS. However I decided to go to Lee's an hour away from what was allegedly closing time at 8 PM. Upon arrival I tried to go in, but I guess it was closed?? Like huh? I thought they closed at 9 PM. This got me both frustrated and confused. Maybe I'm making a big deal out of it but honestly, I feel like I'm justified here because even their neon "open" sign was lit up like what!? All I wanted to get was a coffee jug and I really like Lee's Vietnamese coffee, let alone Vietnamese coffee in general, since it has its enhanced caffeine effects compared to the standard coffee which doesn't perk me up as much. Please, please fix your business hours, this really throws customers off.

I got the vegetarian sandwich. It was a dry baguette with carrots, cilantro, and some kind of tiny fried, salty noodles. On the bright side, it was only $7, so I didn't feel too bad throwing half of it away.

I asked for light ice because it’s always mostly ice when I get the viet coffee so I wasn’t given enough coffee to fill my cup. When I came home I still took out some ice. I don’t like my coffee to taste watered down after 5 min. Finally was able to get an almond croissant and it was stale. For 4 dollars it definitely should be fresh. It was hard around the edges.

Lee's always has fast service, so you can't go wrong with stopping by for a quick bite! I ordered #4, the Pork Banh Mi. I had to pick out some jalapeños since there were a lot of seeds still on them. The bread is always a bit rough, so make sure you're careful when biting into it. The pork was also kind of hard but had a lot of flavor. Next time I will probably stick with chicken, beef, or bbq pork. I really enjoy their small cups of chè that are green with red rubies on the bottom! The lychee inside adds a nice touch of sweetness.

One of the things I appreciate about this restaurant is its convenient location right next door to Pekoe, which makes it easy to grab a sandwich and a drink in one stop. However, it does put me in a bit of a bind having to choose between my two favorite drinks - a Vietnamese coffee from Lee's and a milk tea from Pekoe. Whenever I visit Lee's, I always order a BBQ pork banh mi with extra daikon. It's a delicious sandwich that is always fresh and flavorful. And of course, I can't resist a Vietnamese coffee to go along with it. The coffee at Lee's is always rich and smooth, and pairs perfectly with the spicy and savory flavors of the banh mi.

My pregnant wife has a lot of food aversions and can't tolerate strong smells. She had a craving for an Asian vegetarian banh mi sandwich. The kind workers here were so accommodating and helped prepare the sandwich even though they were about to close up. The sandwich was delicious and the workers were very kind.

Definitely one of the most neglected franchises I've seen. The pity is that they need a major upgrade but can't pay for it because of the loss of business due to poor facilities, service and quality. It's a brutal catch-22. Corporate needs to come here and get this franchise back on track.
