“Small place in Willow Glen, but with an amazing collection and they gave us a deal on our bathroom and kitchen fixtures. Anthony was fantastic and guided us through our (very complex) design decisions with a lot of patience, humor and good advice. Any problems we had were dealt with very quickly and replacement parts were provided. Would highly recommend them, especially over the chain home improvement and big kitchen/bath stores for the personal service and competitive pricing.”

“Angelique provided amazing customer service. We purchased tile for our kitchen and all our bathrooms with Angelique recently. The store is not as big as some other places we went to, but they have a good selection and the service from Angelique was really a bright spot during our over 2 year remodel saga. Angelique is very friendly and patient and she had amazing response time to emails. She responded to email late in the evenings when the shop was closed, and she responded even when she was off on vacation. She even stayed late on a Friday night to enter our order so that we could get things as soon as possible. I didn't mention anything at the time, but we definitely noticed. Thanks Angelique!”

“Went here to find some corner trim pieces for a remodel. Their selection is huge. They even got small sample pieces you can go off of. I usually go to homedepot for these items but feel reluctant to go to this type of places because in my mind I think these places are only for big jobs and contractors but that’s not the case. I bought 4 pieces and they were more than willing to help. Don’t be afraid to try.”

So I would recommend go visit the warehouse and come back to north 1st location for final purchase with your selection.”

“We have shopped at dozens of stores and got renderings from atleast 10 places so I can say with what I consider plenty of experience that advance cabinets and Patrick in particular was the best in terms of quality of the cabinets and ease of working. We ended up at advance cabinet halfway through our house renovation project when we had already placed an order for kitchen cabinets but were still hunting for everything else. Store is not large but among the selection they had they managed to tick all the boxes for me. I wanted solid wood, non white option and advance had these beautiful natural solid wood cabinets. I got excited and quickly placed an order for both our bathrooms. We had worked with Patrick, he is easily the smartest person we had come across over the course of our remodel hunt. He had renderings drawn up in a few minutes and provided unbiased feedback. We were meanwhile also trying to design our tv wall. We got quotes in the upwards of 20k for just that wall and I knew I didn't want to spend so much. Then an idea struck me, why not use the cabinets from advance which are typically meant for bathrooms and kitchens in this area as well? With some careful planning I knew I could make this work but needed validation. We ended up at advance again and shared the idea with Patrick and within a few minutes and in less than 3k we got cabinets for the tv wall. Overall highly pleased with the experience and quality of what we got. They also have a huge selection of flooring options.”

We needed to replace all of the hard flooring in our home (an Eichler home with a slab foundation and radiant heat), and had decided on porcelain tile. “I recently had the opportunity to utilize PHD on Junction Ave in San Jose for a shower enclosure/doors, and a vanity with sink. The showroom staff were beyond helpful with product knowledge, color/design recommendations, and availability. When we picked up the vanity, the two Asian women (no business cards, unfortunately) triple checked the paper work, and carefully examined the item for any flaws. The two helpers were careful in re-wrapping the item and carefully loading it into our car. We were unable to fit a 9' piece of backsplash in our car. A general contractor/PHD customer (Armando Mendez, owner of A Mendez Construction Inc) overheard our dilemma and offered to deliver it for us! He refused gas money, saying, "If I accept money, it's not a favor". The PHD staff said he was a "great" customer. What a glorious morning for me compliments of the PHD staff and a stranger!”

This store has so many different Lunar New Year decorations, bowls, plates and kitchenware. The store was fully packed today. My friend and I got some Lunar New Year hanging things. “I decided to install a new kitchen main faucet, under-sink 3-stage water filter with dedicated drinking water faucet. The filter is connected to a tee off the cold water input. All components ordered separately so I was facing the difficult task of finding the correct hoses and fittings to connect everything together. I knew if I went to Home Depot or Lowe's I would not get expert advise, so I drove to Ferguson Plumbing and Supply with a diagram I drew. It was a good decision, I was helped immediately in a friendly manner and within a few minutes all the correct lines and fittings were selected for me. Everything was correct and the project was completed with no issues. I am very happy with my experience and would highly recommend Ferguson to anyone planning a DIY plumbing project, they have a comprehensive selection of fittings and tools with expert salespeople.”

“When we (finally) decided to remodel our kitchen, we weren't sure what we wanted. We consider ourselves very fortunate that a neighbor suggested Dan Wood and his team. Dan was able to see the possibilities in our kitchen space (a basic rectangle, 1960s floorplan) that we could not. He came up with a design that we could never have imagined. His core team (Danny, Troy, Tim, Mark, Duane, Nate) was incredible. When you remodel, you invite many people into your house. They did great work and were very nice to have around. Also, Dan works with a great, experienced group of sub-contractors who are outstanding specialists in everything from tile to electricity to drywall.
