This store has a ton of large fish breeds and insanely large fish. There's a decent amount of community fish. They seem to be a $1-2 more than a big box store. Unlike a big box store they don't have dead fish in every other tank. The fish also seem to be more mature.
I asked for 6 zebra danios. I told her there's a couple leopard danios in the bag. She said no the purple stripped ones are zebra. I said I know but that one has no stripes and I don't think that one does either. She said they were so I took her word on it. Turned out I got 4 leopards and 2 zebras but the store was too dark to tell.
Update I was able to take the leopard danios back and get zebras. For the hassle I was given an extra zebra.

Stopped by the shop yesterday noon with a list of aquatic plants to buy in mind and unexpectedly came home with two cutest little guppies, a bumblebee goby and frozen daphnia. Whenever I look at those funny fish and the way they swim makes me laugh non-stop. I adore them so much. Service was fast and great. Thank you King Aquarium for such amazing experience.

King Aquarium was my last stop on a journey to 5 different LFS in the SJ area and I'm so glad I came. Located on the far end of a tiny strip mall, I was afraid that the store was closed when I drove up. When you walk in, you're greeted by a huge display tank that looks like it belongs in an actual aquarium with giant ol' catfish and other large specimens. The store itself is neatly laid out into rows and they've got lots of fish that I hadn't seen in other shops: catfish, two types of freshwater puffer (pea and a larger variety), bumblebee gobies, plecos, and the usual community fish. I wish they had a website! My family and I got to take our time browsing and enjoying the beautiful fish. All the fish in the tanks looked healthy and active. The lady who helped us let us choose our own fish and patiently caught each one (other shops just gave me whatever the first ones they caught were). She happily shared her knowledge on care and acclimation. Best part? My fish are thriving at home AND King Aquarium's prices beat out all of the competitors' by at least a dollar per fish which really adds up if you're buying several!
