Best person was the security guy. Super friendly!!!! I took an appointment and thereafter proceeded. My experience was great here. Maybe because it was after the tax filing due date. But people generally wait for a longer time here that’s what I have heard. But we were done within an hour. Staff was smooth.

Well I still expected too much and thought too good of IRS. 2 weeks ago they told me that I need to call back in another 2 weeks and then they'll start to work on my case. While now 2 weeks later I called them again today, it's already not possible to get a live person to talk anymore, "due to high call volume we can not take your phone calls goodbye".

Huge waiting time approx 2.5+ hour. No use of having appointment. Out of 8 windows, only 3 clerks windows work I mean they open 3 windows only. On top of it, those 3 windows clerk work so slow, per customer they take 30 mins and they work in their own sweet time.Really bad experience in this government IRS TAC centre.

If you have a staffed office, consider yourselves lucky. Working for the IRS is difficult. The public expects field employees to know everything. However, I've received zero training in my three years with Field Assistance. Pay. It’s all front-loaded. The IRS will hire people with no experience with the same salaries it offers veteran employees. That doesn’t end well. The intent (once upon a time) was to have two or more employees with different training, but the pay is why your office is short-staffed, under trained, or closed. If you’re offering burger-flipper wages and the work is hard, your people return to the burger joints. Think about that.

Had a great experience at this IRS location. Got an appointment over the phone (after 30+ mins of wait), parked my car in a public parking right next to it and walked over to the IRS office. It was pretty empty as there were only 1 other family at that time. Went through security check and received a coupon at the reception counter. Shortly I was called to a room where the IRS officer reviewed my documents and pointed out a missing info. The officer was accommodative enough to allow me to go out of the building to get a quick print out and get back.Overall, very pleasant experience with everyone being receptive. End to end it took me an hour including a trip outside the building to print a document. The parking charge was $4 which is great for an hour of downtown parking.

Made initial appointment, arrived 20 minutes before appointment time. Had been given a live queue # even with appointment. 3+ hours of waiting, out of 8 available windows only 4 are working and their processing time is 1 person/hour. Worst experience with the government agency ever. Why do you ask to create appointment online when there is just one line for all, why to have 8 windows with only 3 clerks working?

They say appointment? Pfft what a joke. Waiting 2.5+ hrs after having an initial appointment walking in is absolutely madness. Worst than dmv or any other office I’ve visited in my life. The people who work there are sloths who hate their jobs.

Since the waiting area is small, having an appointment is necessary. There is no need to produce any confirmation email or number. They have a sheet with all the appointments. Expect around 45mins of wait time.

It’s zero stars( I have newborn baby and they change my appointment 2 times and I drive here 2 hours all the time ( they give you a time but it’s live lane here.. I’m so angry it’s so bad please. They change appointments because they don’t have people for work here
