Some rude staff, overpriced and they follow you the whole time you are in there. Paranoid freaks.

I purchased a piece of furniture here on 4/2 with the expectation I would pick it up today 4/5. The piece was paid for and labeled with a sold sign but it was not set aside and they sold the piece again. When I arrived the staff was aware that it had been sold again and that it was loaded for another customer.
Store staff called the manager to address the situation who offered a refund or exchange but the manager chose not to address the issue personally. The response felt lacking and like the manager left their staff out to dry.
Bottom line if you buy something for pickup at a later date, there is no guarantee it will be there when you arrive. Buyer beware!

It looks like I’m not the only one who had the same problem with RUDE staff. I used to work here when this places first opened and it was MUCH different. We were taught customer service first and for most and to treat customers with RESPECT and kindness which I was not met with here. My mom and I were waiting in line with a hand basket full of things when Heena, the rude cashier called us down and said, “I can help you down here!” So we went down to register 3 where we started putting things on the counter, as I went to put another shirt down she scanned a cup I had and said, “Don’t put anything else on the counter, and can you hold this?” And handed me BACK the cup she just scanned for me instead of wrapping it and putting it in a bag like I asked. I then went to grab the blue hand basket I had brought up when she scolded me and goes, “Those baskets go over THERE!” And pointed to the other side of the store. And I said, “I know. I was just taking it off the counter for you because you said no more” and she gave me the dirtiest look! Then when I took my wallet out she goes, “Oh you’re paying cash?” And I said yeah and she goes, “This register is card ONLY” and rudely pointed at a sign on the side of her register. Why didn’t she say, “I can take the next CARD transaction then?” Instead of saying to come down so she could ring me up? She shoved everything in a bag and walked it down to the young Indian man on register 1. And I say his race for THIS reason ONLY. I walked up to pay with him and he stereotyped me. I was born and raised here in California. I speak ENGLISH, and in fact don’t even know how to speak Spanish. But because I’m brown as soon as I walked up to him he started speaking to me in Spanish. I was so shocked and insulted I didn’t even know what to say. I said, “Are you speaking to me in Spanish? I speak English, i infact don’t know what you’re trying to tell me.” It was wrong of him to stereotype me. Just like it would’ve been wrong of ME to walk up to him and just start speaking in Hindi. I will NEVER come back to this horrible place. The only thing still good and wholesome about this racist establishment is Kenny is still working there.❤️

Good place to thrift for cheap clothes and accessories. Items rotate in and out, so grab whatever you want before it eventually goes! They have specific sales depending on the color of the tag as well, so there's a lot of savings here :)

I have been donating items for years and they always are so gracious and helpful. I often buy toys for my grandson too. I can usually find some great items for just a few bucks. The store is clean and orderly and the staff is very accommodating

Aisle after aisle of merch! And it's in "Thrift Alley" in San Jose - close to other thrift storesPRO:- This is a super store, just a massive store- Some interesting items, great place to hunt- I love that they are part of a cause, you can shop feeling good even if things are a bit priceyCON:- Prices are kind of expensive, like all thrift stores lately.- Expensive toysSUMMARY:I like the amount of racks I can go through. But if I'm bargain hunting, it's not amazing. But still worth the trip as you visit the other thrift stores in the area.

Large space and lots of stuff to see. I wasn't overly impressed with this store, mostly for the organization and tagging of clothes. Clothing sizes marked and organized S/M/L/XL etc, but sizing marked on the clothes is random. Some size 8's were considered large and others medium? It was just hard to shop here.

Overall a good place to stop on a day of thrifting. The store is pretty clean and prices are reasonable. I've found some good deals here over the years. Would recommend.

Very expensive thrift shop. If you're snooty and wish to pay all your booty then this is the place to go.

My wife and I regularly shop HopeTHRIFT for all kinds of articles. We've purchased clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, luggage, all kinds of things. The staff is friendly and the store is clean. I especially appreciate Phil's fantastic service. He is usually on the floor during opening hours. My wife ha expressed interest in buying items without tags on several occasions. Phil is always around to price these items so we can purchase them without hassle. Other thrift shops in the area don't have this fantastic, dedicated service. Cheers to Phil and cheers to HopeTHRIFT, a true non-profit store.
