DO NOT SHOP HERE! YOU WILL GET SCREWED!My husband bought me a chain for Christmas. I went in to the store in January (they were closed Jan 1st -15th, probably to avoid the rush of returns) to exchange for a longer chain. The man who I spoke with was mid 30s, 5'7, curly dark hair, dark close-set eyes. I told him i was willing to pay more for a few inches longer. He said that he didn't have any longer chains, but took my phone and email and said he would contact me when they got them in. This is most basic, generic gold chain in the world, so kind of weird they didn't have it, but ok, whatever. He never called, texted, or emailed. I called in March to follow up. Again, they said they'd call me back. Never did. Now we're almost in may.I returned the original chain and the guy was so snarky and rude about it. He claimed that in 4 months time, they never received a longer chain! Seriously???? After lots of excuses and attitude he gave me my money back.DO NOT SHOP HERE! THEIR SELECTION IS AS NON-EXISTANT AS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

these guys are scammers. believe me. all they trying to do is scam and charge for max and pay for the least. you're a sucker if you buy from these guys. there's so many other places that sells better quality. Sold a pendant and chain and they couldn't even sell back the pendant at a reasonable price. After already selling the chain. Clearly made profit and then trying to sell me the pendant I gave a steal almost price wise for. Back to me for 3k . Never doing business with them again And making sure none of my boys goes and tries to sell to them. Go someone else y'all I'm telling you

I walked into the store to inquire about fixing my mothers ring. I spoke with David, who was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. David offered to fix my mothers gold ring for free. He said it wouldn't be perfect, but he would do his best. He returned a short time later and handed me my mothers ring. It looked amazing and perfect to me. He had also cleaned it. I thanked him profusely and was so appreciative. I thought I would be spending around 50-100 dollars to have the ring fixed. It was pretty smashed and in bad shape. If you want to work with kind, knowledgeable and friendly people, I'd say this is your place for jewelry. I wish I had taken before and after photos to post- but I don't.

ZORO is the best dude to be in the business in the Bay Area. You have something from a picture you found online, he will replicate it and give you the best deal and stands behind his product. WHATEVER YOU HAVE IN MIND HE CAN MAKE HAPLEN WILL QUALITY AND TREAT YOU LIKE FAM NO IFS ANDS OR BUTSS. HE BACKA HIS PRODUCT. He takes pride in his work there is no doubt about that. Worked with Tim and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the different pieces in the shop. Ended up with a beautiful chain that I really love. Zoro also was very kind. Can't recommend this place enough, great experience!

Had the pleasure of working with Zoro and Tim. Came in for a custom 18K bail for a pendant I already had. It was done beautifully at a very reasonable price and time. Also asked about their pricing for 18k gold jewelry they carried just out of curiosity. Pricing was very reasonable and a lot lower than other jewelers I've checked out in San Jose. Great people, super easy to work with. Will definitely be back.

I have never been a customer of Gold Star Jewelers. But I walk by the store and wave to the owner Zoro. Zoro is a very nice man. The problem is with one of his employees. This employee exits the store on a motorized skateboard and accelerates at high speed. I have witnessed him nearly hit people many times, including me. I have asked him in a respectful but no nonsense manner to not do this. To make matters worse, there is a sign citing San Jose City Code prohibiting skateboards on sidewalks, posted within reading range of the store. In my discussions with him, this employee acknowledges he is aware he is in violation of San Jose City Code. To make matters "worser," this morning on my walk, this employee saw me from across the street, and began taunting and gesturing to me from inside the store in what I viewed as derisive and disrespectful. I spoke with Zoro this morning about this very troubling and potentially life-threatening situation with one of his employees, but didn't get a good feel that it would be addressed by instructing the employee to not ride the skateboard on the sidewalk. So, if I needed a jeweler, I would look elsewhere as if a situation arises where Gold Star makes a mistake, the behavior described my be indicative of how you might be treated - DISRESPECTFULLY.
