“Michael and Angel run the best shop in town! They took extra effort to be accommodating and helpful while also helping me pick out the best orchids and bamboos! I went in looking for a nice gift and ended up fixing 3 of my old watches! This place is the bee's knees!!!!! A once a week stop for me!”
“There were two things I wanted to do on my trip to the Bay Area - eat good food and buy a warrior shirt. I had seen a sumo fish warrior shirt in Japantown SF but decided to buy it at Nikkei because they let me try it on in the bathroom. The staff are super accommodating and friendly. There is a variety of asian inspired goods ranging from music cds from hawaii to asian inspired legos like a shiba inu and daruma doll. I'll definitely be back to get more sumo fish shirts! They're comfortable, flattering and the designs are super fun! Mahalo to the cashier who let me try on the shirts. He was really nice!”
“I had a fantastic experience here. Walked in not knowing what I was looking for, and walked out with exactly what I wanted. The staff was super helpful, and I ended up with some great items, with a total bill under $5. Amazing!”
“This was my first time visiting Japantown and found this great store with so many Japanese items. Arlene, the owner, showed us how to fold origami hats that can be used as bookmarks. I was curious about how a kimono is worn and Miko spent time dressing me in a kimono and explaining each step. There was another lady there that was nice. I came out with knowledge about the kimono and Japanese style and with a beautiful tsuzumi pillow. I highly recommend this gem of a store!”
“A treasure trove of curiosities from a slower time can help make a home unique. Their artful window displays will draw you in! They open late and are closed Mondays. I hope you find your one of kind here too!”

231 Jackson St, San Jose“One of the great things about going to Japantown is stores like this. Packed full of everything Japanese you can think of, from stationary, greeting cards, to pottery and decorative dolls. I could have spent an hour in here! So cute and laid out so well. One sad thing to see is Japantown in SJ is not as bustling as before, and I hope stores like this get the attention it deserves. It's a treasure.”

They have a few cases left. I will be going back for a rice cooker, they have the good stuff, and really good prices too. Lastly, I have major shoulder pain and they recommended a Vietnamese oil and it really helped. I love these guys and a lifetime customer.”
“The owner of this smoke shop is such a genuine hardworking person, and he and all his the employees are so kind and knowledgeable. I feel so welcome every time I come here, and I can always find exactly what I need, I don't think they've ever been out of stock of anything. They're always willing to help out any customer. Highly recommend.”

1111 Story Rd, San Jose“I came here recently to buy an ao dai for my daughter for Tet. The lady who helped me and my husband was really nice and showed us the sets they had for her age range. I decided to get a red and gold one, and it came with the pants. The store although small has a lot of different merchandise. Can feel a little cramped in there. A good spot for trinkets and a Lotto ticket”
“Such a cute lil store. The staff are so friendly and kind. We talked about our tattoos and they were helpful with any questions. Very nice pen and pencil collection to choose from.”
“Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend. Don't forget an import snack for later, those are fun to try even if it sounds like a weird flavor. It's a cheap little adventure for your taste buds after enjoying a smooth flavor packed session with your favorite dabbing rig.”
