Communication is horrible. This business was recommend to me by a colleague and I regret using them. I should have taken it as a sign when he failed to get to my taxes in time, needed to submit them late, and was difficult to reach. When my taxes were done, I sent some follow-up questions, to which they never responded, so I sent another one mentioning that I was very happy to pay his hourly fee for the answers, I would just really appreciate some answers, and never heard back. I let it go, but then several months later, when it came time to pay estimated taxes, there was a discrepancy between what he (or his system) generated as the amount owed and the amount he had told me at the beginning of the tax year. As a result, I wasn't sure which amount to pay. I emailed him directly, I emailed him through the client portal, and I called the office and left a voicemail. Never got any response. I can't even believe how horrible this customer service is. I have no idea if I submitted the correct amount. Would not recommend if you have any questions about the process or need any support.

My mother used Fujikawa & Associate CPA for 15 or more years. I took over my mom's dealings due to Alzheimer's eight years ago and working with Derek Fujikawa has been a true blessing. The Client Summary was such a big help knowing what was claimed the prior year. We loved this set-up so much my husband and I switched our business to Fujikawa & Associate CPA. We have our home and two rental properties and it's been great knowing they have our back. I highly recommend them!

We've used Mr. Fujikawa for two or three years now. We have multiple jobs between us and also a rental property, so getting professional help on taxes made sense. We're happy with the service and recommend him to friends who ask us. I particularly like the online component, where he distributes a list of docs and we upload them in advance of our yearly tax meeting. When it's time to meet in person, we're in and out easy peasey. (We don't feel rushed by any means, but neither does the meeting become laborious.)

I agree with the prior poster, Mr. Fujikawa is a very honest and trustworthy accountant who will dot the i's and cross the t's. I never worry about getting audited because I know that I'm in good hands with Fujikawa and Associate. He also does certified financial planning, how can you beat that?
