I called them to reorder a pint of paint for pick up. But they don't take orders over the phone. You have to go there and wait while they put the order together. I let the person I spoke with know that I would be there in 20 minutes which was about 20 minutes before they closed. He said that's fine because it only take 10-15 minutes to mix paint. I arrived a little sooner about 30 minutes before closing and the person at the counter (who sounded a lot like the person on the phone) says the won't mix paint after 4:30 because it take 20-25 minutes to mix paint. I explained that I was instructed to come down there by phone, and the workers just tossed around the question to each "anyone want to mix paint" with no takers. Then I was told to come back tomorrow. Eff that. I was standing in their store ready to give them money for their over priced paint, and they would not bother with it 2 minutes after 4:30 but they were ok to inconvenience me to come back the next day. I went to AB Supply in Fremont instead. They were extremely knowledgeable, the selves were packed with various professional products from primers, to adhesion, to clear coats, to you name it (while East Bay Color shelves are neglected and dusty). And the guys at AB Supply helped me an hour after they closed on Saturday. Yes Saturday. But most importantly, the final paint was a much closer match than the original East Bay Color mix. East Bay Colors reluctance to help me really came as a blessing in disguise.

I have a 1966 Mustang and my mechanic put two huge scratches on my car by accident. Of course I did not have extra paint, but I did have the old can. They did a paint match and it came out perfect!! I want to thank both Pat and Ben for seeing this project through to the end. These guys were rockstars!!
