I've bought 8 cars from DGDG
I use to own a Dealership myself so I hav working knowledge of the requirement to sell a vehicle.
-Working headlights
-Windshield wiper
-Tail lights
-Brakes of a certain spec
-Tread Depth of a certain spec
-All web listing prices and feature must match vehicle and be removed within 24 hours of purchase
On three separate incidents vehicles on lot were out of spec and weren't eligible to be sold per the requirements above.
Below are the situation with the vehicles on lot:
One was a test drive of Tesla with Brakes out spec. Grinding throughout my test drive. Which was surprising the reconditioning team obviously didn't do a road test after purchasing from Manhiem or Adessa.
The other I purchased which they said had an alignment issue because if it hit a bumper would jump to the left several feet at freeway speeds- I now question if it was the alignment and hope it wasn't on the lot with frame damage sold as a clean title versus branded. They've assured me its the alignment even though they did one which didn't work, and BMW did but said it still wasn't perfect. Trusting it was alignment issue but I will investigate to make sure its not something else.
Most recently Capitol Chevy had a vehicle on lot for sell having prior knowledge the brake lamp was out with the part on order. Capitol Chevy's manager was incompetent and most of his staff were green so I had Capitol Kia get the vehicle from them completing the sale. I picked it up the next day drove 100 feet then the oil light came on for no oil being in the car. They assured me they'd fix the brake lamp and that it was a know issue before I purchased the vehicle. Then told me to come back in the next day for repair the part wasn't in stock even though it was on order before I purchased the car the next day. I had them refill the oil. I had to leave the country on vacation so a week went by. I expected a voicemail upon landing that they had the part. I had not one even with an update. I then proceed to call them repeatedly over the course of a week. I got the run around even enlisted the help of the Sale Manager Ryan Peak who gets an A+ for his efforts to help unfortunately he went on vacation or was off the next day and couldn't get answers. I wait a day called in and got ahold of Anthony who got ahold of the Service Manager and the GM Sales Manger. Supposedly the part came in yesterday to Chevy(but they need day so Chevy is prepped to install the brake light...). I go in tomorrow and pray there's no issues.
-I was one day away from asking for my 30k back via cashier check that day
-Filing a report with DMV Field Inspectors Office who regulates Dealership
-Filing a lawsuit for serval violation of California and Consumer Law
They should be thankful I called in again once more before proceeding it would have been an easy lawsuit on my end plus they'd be hit with major fines.

I bought my son a 2021 GMC Denali from this Dealership and within the first month the ENGINGE LIGHT came on while driving so they said, no problem, just bring it. He brought it in and they said they don't have any loaners available, so he had to Uber to Work. At the end of the day, they said it was ready and he Uber back to them. They said Sorry but they don't have a Mechanic Knowledgeable to work on his truck. (Software Update) supposedly. He took his truck home with the ENGINE RED LIGHT still on. Brought it back the next day, per their request, dropped it off, still no Loaner available. Even though he paid for the Extra Car Care Warranty. So... He Ubers back to work and Ubers back to the Dealership, only to be told the Mechanic called in sick. So he brought it back the next day with the ENGINE LIGHT still on and (you guessed it) Uber to Work. This has been going on for "4" Times in one week. Who is paying for all his Uber Trips?? On his last trip (4th) time, they had his truck locked up and his kids Carseats inside. The rep told him to just Uber to the Dealership and his car seats would be Inside next to his desk and to just yank really hard on the door and it would open. It Did Not!! I'm trying to get him to call NBC News on your side and file a complaint with Better Business!!! He took his Truck back today and was told one Mechanic called in Sick, the other said it was too hot to work on cars and I think the only one left is still asleep in the break room. Now....its my turn to shake things up at this Stealership. Maybe they shouldn't buy their vehicles from New York with problems to sell in California???

They have the worst phone service. I’ve been calling for past 2 days, trying to get a hold of finance and they always transfer me and no one picks up. They give me a direct line saying they talked to finance and was expecting my call. After 10 attempts still no answer!!

Not recommended for used car buying from this location, bought 2021 Toyota Highlander paid cash $30000 they charged us $560 for DMV but didn’t renew the registration and tags.
Supper expensive place to compare.
Said the car is DGDG certified but it was lie, the car had never been inspected for safety concerns and has multiple issues and noise of broken things coming from the front. Stopped at the Toyota they said we have to wait 6 months till the part come in. We have pay another $5000 to fix it.
Contacted to ask for DMV paperwork never anytime got response and said will transfer to the finance department but no one answered, left several voicemail no luck. Not happy nor recommend for purchase cars.

I have to say that I am truly disappointed in this dealership. I have got several cars from here. Dave was a great guy and always got me into a good car I wanted at a good price. So a good friend of mine was looking for a knew car and I thought she might like to try a a couple vehicles here . Called the sales department 7 times in a two week period asked for Dave each time I was told he was not in on that day and they took a message. The last time I called he was there and I told salesman my name, they put me on hold. Then they put me in to his voicemail. It’s now Monday and I haven’t heard a word. In the meantime last Monday my friend and I visited Stevens creek Hyundai a young guy came out and was very inexperienced but he showed a 2 vehicles but didn’t know much. He went we all went inside the sales people where all talking to a Redhead female employee and could not be bothered to help. I rarely recommend car companies snd you all let me down. As a result my friend got frustrated, we even tried your Fremont dealer ship. Not one salesperson there would even come out to help. Horrible customer service I will never recommend you guys again. I may like you cars but since DGDG took over the sales people don’t seem to want to make a sale

Bought a used jeep here, salesman was nice, no high pressure tactics. Car didn't have current registration so they paid it and said they'd send me the stickers.... never got the stickers after several attempts of getting them from the sales dept. Also, definitely get an extended warranty on any car you get from them. My jeep has oil issues in less than 2 months, I should have taken it to a mechanic when I bought it but ran out of time. Buyer beware.... would look elsewhere for used cars.

It was my first time coming to Dgdg. Juho was very professional and was able to answer all our questions and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience while looking at cars. Fell in love with my car and the whole Dgdg team was super attentive while we processed the paperwork. They treated us like family. Will be recommending family and friends going forward. Once again thank you Juho for all the support and encouragement during our experience with you.

Hand to GOD this company SUCKS. They sold me a LEMON back in 2020, I went back to the dealer to ask them to take the car back and let me trade it in because of the constant clicking sound from the engine, manager told me it was nothing and he couldn’t hear it, told me I could leave it there but they wouldn’t give me anything for it… 1 year later (2021) I finally got a recall notice about that clicking sound, got it fixed then my hyundai elantra recently had an attempted theft, where they ruined my connection from the key fob to the car so it currently does not lock unless I do it manually, I came once to try to fix it, no dice, EST $150 for diagnosis, told me i had to leave my car 2 weeks and they could not provide me with a loaner so I decided i’d come back after my trip to LA as I was taking my car. Now my car is EST at $264.88 and when i questioned why i was told it was Miscommunication and if I can find the RO that says $150 they will change it. Isn’t it illegal to withhold RO’s??? Why do they not have it in their system!? Told me they weren’t sure when it would get fixed hopefully today, but they refused to provide a loaner and told me I’d have to pay. Makes no sense. Every other dealer i’ve been to provides with a free loaner or rental car except DGDG.such a greedy selfish company. so many better companies out there PLEASE do yourself a favor and steer clear.

Don't buy a car in this place they sell you cars with mechanical problems and they take them away and they don't fix them properly they put non-original parts on them so you are always spending money to fix your car.

On August 31st, I visited Capitol Mazda with the intention of purchasing a used 2014 Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid priced at $10,888. This decision was made for my girlfriend's son's transportation needs. However, this seemingly straightforward purchase led to a series of distressing events.Shortly after leaving the dealership, a parking brake warning light appeared, leaving me stranded at an intersection. I contacted Mr. Steve Valentone, our salesperson, who promised to help, but two Toyota employees assisted before he arrived. The warning light disappeared an hour later but reappeared consistently, triggered by various activities. We returned the car to Capitol Mazda, and they attempted to fix the issue by replacing the battery and sensors. However, the problem persisted. On October 16th, the car's battery drained, and the warning reappeared, causing temporary immobilization. The warning persisted on subsequent journeys.Mr. Valentone advised us to contact General Manager Rusty Bumstead for a refund. After returning the car on October 19th, the dealership refused a refund and encouraged us to explore their inventory, which didn't meet our needs. The Prius spent 38 days at the dealership, surpassing the 19 days in our possession. After persistent requests, on October 26, Mr. Valentone informed us that they would pay off the loan. We received a refund of our initial $550 deposit.Despite this challenging experience, Mr. Valentone's dedication and professionalism stood out, and we were satisfied with our sales experience. Our experience with the Prius did not diminish our respect for the dealership, and we promised to return if we found a suitable vehicle on their lot."

This is a review that pertains to Capitol Hyundai’s service department. Here's the body of my BBB complaint I filed:I brought my Hyundai Kona EV in for service on Thursday October 19th,2023. An appointment I scheduled for a recall repair online. Upon arrival, Iwas told that "I should have called them to get an appointment before 11"and that my car would have to be there overnight. They did not warn meabout this, they had contact info for me. Having not made plans, Irequested a rental car which they didn't want to do at first, but relented.Multiple days went by without any contact, despite me calling and emailingthe service manager. I've left 4 VMs and 2 emails for the service managerat this point, I finally get a call back saying to pick up the vehicle. I arrive, and the service advisor (Ken) hands me the paperwork and thekey (no walkaround inspection) and I drive off.I arrive home and find that they've damaged my front license plate frame and plate! I tried calling other phone numbers I've found on their paperwork and they ROUTE TO SCAM LINES, they aren't even correct phone numbers on their paperwork!! This service center is a disaster and should not be allowed to provide service if they cannot meet basic expectations of communicationand quality handling of my vehicle.

They tried sooo hard to sell us a broken car. We took the car for a test drive, and had a mechanic review it who saw that engine parts were rusting. The dealer refused to fix these issues before we signed for the car, and ‘promised’ it would be fixed after. so we left.

DGDG has been my go-to car dealer for a long time. Andre has been a great contact throughout the years to my family in helping all of us find wonderful reliable cars! I’ve personally purchased 3 cars from DGDG. In my opinion this is the best used car team in the Bay! I recently purchased a newer car from Eric Wong, one of the sales representatives at the Capitol Hyundai location. He was extremely helpful, transparent, and matched me to a vehicle with everything I was looking for! He was respectful of my budget and ultimately assisted in securing the best option long term for myself & family. He was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend this team to anyone looking for a reliable, affordable vehicle!

Before I leave a terrible review, I would like someone from the customer experience department or operations department to contact me.
