I usually keep my favorite Consignment and Thrift stores to myself because I'm afraid they'll be picked through lol. But I'm trying to be more intentional with my purchases these days and am shopping a bit less. I wanted to share a review of this spot! This has been a favorite consignment store of mine forever, been coming here since high school. Great selections here, the staff is usually pretty nice. You can use their app to join the selling line before you arrive too which can be handy when selling clothes. I like to sell old clothes of mine I no longer wear here, and they usually will buy atleast a few pieces! Love shopping here too so many great finds every time. This time I opted to get the long black Selkie dress which was super cute, I can't wait to go to an afternoon tea or picnic type occasion this spring/summer to wear it. The prices have gone up a bit now but you can still find some great deals here, they do a great job curating everything so it's worth it! I also really loved the DVF and Dolce and Gabana dresses but didn't have time to try those on. Was also tempted to buy the motorcycle girl bay and the Brandon Blackwood bag too! Maybe next time if there still there lol. Anyways definitely a great spot to checkout whether your buying or selling clothes, it's good for the environment, your wallet and your closet!

This was a long time ago (2020-2021) but it makes me laugh everytime I think about it. It was my first time there. I go to the counter with two big bins of clothes and I ask the girl if I could get started selling my clothes. She looks me up and down while she's folding something and scoffs. "What does it look like I'm doing right now?" she says. I just nodded my head and walked away because I was in my healing era so I left that up to God. Like okay miss girl sorry for the trouble, I guess!

all my experiences here have sucked employee wise. They laugh at the clothes you bring in to sell. I once experienced an employee who had really short hair and glasses looking through the stuff i had brought in and she said " what is this? " laughing with her co worker. A couple weeks later I had brought in more clothing and will always see the employees whispering and giggling about what other people bring in. Really gives off mean girl vibes. ( all of this was done in 2023 ) I had just recently went in to sell more clothing and I still experienced the same experience from other employees as well. Also if you're trying clothing on in the fitting room be prepared to get knocked on hardly with employees shouting at you to basically hurry up. I have had 3 shoulder surgeries so it's hard to try things on. Again it's always that girl with short hair and glasses.

As much as I would love to gatekeep this thrift store, I really enjoyed shopping here. There are a lot of items and they are usually separated by size to help shoppers find items more easily. Designer brand items are kept in cases! Fitting rooms have a max of 10 items, but they'll hold your clothing if you have more than 10. Each item was around $15-$20, but I thoroughly enjoyed the selection and found a lot of great stuff so that price point seems reasonable.

Crossroads is great for buying or selling. I end up loving something every time I come here - it's almost guaranteed! The thing is, instead of leaving with a few pieces I kinda like, I leave with a couple I'm obsessed with. They do a great job curating pieces here. As far as selling goes it's very fair, and I've learned a lot the more I've visited. They want trendy, cool, and unique pieces - not generic t-shirts and simple pieces. At least if you want to get a decent amount of money. I usually do store credit here since it stretches my money out further and I end up using it on some cool pieces! I've come here with bags, but I've also gotten just a few things sold, so it's not a spot to expect to get rid of everything either! But you'll be able to get solid prices and know that your pieces are going to a good, loving, home. This location also has a great vibe here and they also play fun, great, hits from a variety of decades too. I've had shorter days where I'd come and be able to sell within 20 min, but also an hour long wait. It depends on the day and crowd, but it's important to not have any expectations for the time frame! I'd recommend the spot to anyone who loves clothes, since it's always a fun experience every time I come and visit.

I just went here to sell one pair of pants. There was no one in line waiting so I wrote my name down and was now the first person in line. I proceeded to wait 20-30 minutes as 4 sales associate hung out around the "sell" counter chatting with each other. I have worked in retail for 4 years and if you are able to drop what your doing and help a customer then that's what you do. Which to me out of the four of them one of them could have at least done that. I don't think I would have ever been helped if it weren't for me standing up and asking how much longer it would be and the fact that I have one item I would like to sell. Which I was hesitant to do anyways because I didn't want to be perceived as a "karen." Also when I stood up to talk to them I was immediately given dirty looks. I don't know what it is nowadays but I have experienced similar things at all thrift stores. A lot of the employees seem to be very entitled.

This was my first time selling at crossroads and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I tried to be positive but it was such a letdown being there for over 3 and a half hours. I came in at 11am to sell my clothes I had about 3 bags and I waited 3 hours until they saw my clothes. Mind you while I waited there was 3 others girls looking through people’s clothes to sell. Two of the other girls were taking their sweet time with the clothes and would barely sell any of it. Only one of your employees was actually moving quickly and selling a lot of the clothing items. She would call out at least 3 names by the hour while one of your other employees took about TWO hours to look through two bags of clothes. It did not look like she knew what she was doing and I do not mean to be rude, but this is my first time writing a review because I am genuinely flabbergasted by your employees. You expect me to wait over 3 hours at your store? I understand that it takes a while, but I was not expecting to wait that long. All for only less than 10 of my items to be sold. While I see Shein clothing on your racks and other cheap fast fashion. It is disappointing only one of your employees looked like they knew what they were doing.

I’ve been selling at Crossroads around the Bay Area for over 10 years. The buyers at this location are slow and extremely selective, they are pretty much just chit chatting with each other with no urgency to get through the queue. I came in to sell and was told it would be about a 45 minute wait but after 2 hours, just decided to leave. If you come in and you’re more than 5th in line, prepare to wait forever or come back on another day.If you’re coming here to shop, you’ll most likely be in luck. Due to their prime location in San Jose they get a bunch of great stuff. Whenever I visit I usually leave with at least one great find.

The staff working at this substandard location was neither very helpful nor nice. They also did not clearly explain what styles they were looking for until after I got there. It truly was a waste of time. I recommend NOT going to this location unless you call ahead of time and explain what you have to the manager so you don’t waste your time. The customer service needs to improve and be more welcoming especially for first time sellers. Also, I don’t think they should hold your ID while looking through your clothes. It seems unnecessary when they can just check your age on your ID and return it to you. This store requires a lot of procedure for such a mediocre place with unfriendly service for used clothes!

I called the San Carlos, California location and spoke with one of the employees about liquidating large amount of inventory from one of our e-commerce music Merch projects. After speaking to one of the employees for about 30 minutes he indicated that they would be interested, but I would need to speak with the manager. After speaking another 30 minutes with the manager and having to re-explain everything, she indicated that I would need to speak with corporate headquarters based in Berkeley California. She proceeded to take down my contact information, phone, email, and stated she would send me information on who to contact in Berkeley. I checked my email and there was nothing from her. Called back on Sunday and I had to re-explain everything to another employee. She then puts me on hold again, and after five minutes, she stated that I have to call back on Tuesday to speak to another manager. I told her that I was not happy about all my time being wasted, and she proceeded to tell me that's just the way it is and I'm just an employee. Every time I would try to say something she would cut me off by stating I'm just an employee, I'm just an employee, I'm just an employee. Stay away from this company and don't ever do business with them.

Out of 3 crossroads I've been to in this area I recommend this location the most. Staff is friendly and always on their tasks. Out of most locations I got the best benefits from this location in comparison as well. They are clean & organized to the max, which makes it so much easier to find items. I recommend coming here to sell or buy!

Ok so it was my first time in this place and i was trying to sell express polos, dickies pants, tommy hifliger polo, a couple t- shirts, a calvin klein suit and 3 cardigans. I signed up for the waiting list which was about an hour wait. Once I received the message I headed back to the store with my items and she told me to give her a couple minutes to go through my stuff. She was done about 3 minutes after and called my phone to head back inside. When I walked in most of my clothes were on the floor, she said that they were looking to buy for fall season so she only picked up 2 items which were the two express polo’s. She offered me $16.50 cash or $30 in store credit. I declined the offer kindly and told her I appreciated her help and thanked her for her time. She seemed visibly upset and told me next time to stay in the store and not leave. I just said ok and headed back to my car with my clothes. However, before I even drove to the store, I had counted how many pieces I was taking which was a total of 14 items. I put the stuff in my car and counted them again only to find out there was 13 items. I noticed that there was a red cardigan missing so I headed back into the store and she was walking towards me from the back of the store and said “ I was just about to call you” as she was holding the red cardigan in her hand. She took off the price tag and gave it back to me. I said thank you and she didn’t even bother responding. Now don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that she was trying to steal or lie to me, but it sure as hell feels that way. Why would she tell me she only picked up two items when in reality she had three. Did she honestly forget about the third piece of clothing?

I like this store because every time I went there I could find interesting clothes or handbags which are not available in the market anymore. They even have a vintage section which I like a lot. I feel sorry for those previous reviewers who didn't get nice service but for me the staffs I met were nice and helpful.
