When I entered the building to check in, the lobby smelled like urine. Maybe it was the aroma of ammonia-based cleaners, but judging from the dilapidated flooring and brown-tone paint, that seems unlikely. The paint is yellow brown on the walls and dark brown on the doors, both are unappealing, chipped and scraped. The carpet is really old and looks dirty. My room stank when I opened the door - I turned on the bathroom light/fan and the window A/C to get rid of some of the smell. The tub was stained, the nightstand had sticky remnants of some red liquid on it. The pillows are alright, just really small and the breakfast options are very limited. The orange/cranberry/apple juice dispenser is broken. The hotel is on 1st street and the transit rail makes noise early in the morning with its bell and track noise. I won't come back.

This hotel has become a real pit. The "location" is good if you're talking about proximity to the airport, downtown San Jose, etc, but the neighborhood is horrible and scary. Right next door is an out-of-business hotel that seems to have a bunch of squatters staying there. The rooms are musty and unpleasant and the heater/air conditioner was loud enough to keep me awake.Nicole at the front desk was pleasant, but that was about the only bright spot. Avoid if you care about cleanliness, comfort and safety.

DONT FORGET ANYTHING! housekeeping is dishonest. This place is falling apart at the wall paper seams. View from your window is scab scratcher city with a few lady of the nights walking around. Also, the elevator is well passed 2 years expired on inspection. Just hold your breath and pray when in the elevator or, better yet, take the stairs. Did I mention housekeeping won't turn in your forgotten items...my fault yes for leaving it, but their husband's that hang out in the parking garage and Bbq at. Night, I'm sure. He has a nice new heated jacket now. Don't waste your money or points to stay here.Noteworthy details: Dishonest housekeeping!

We stayed here for a night and it was ok based on the paid price. Some reviews are a bit misleading or outdated.Rooms: Rooms were clean and comfortable for the most part with the exception of the carpet which had visible stains. Same for the hallway, multiple visible stains and little bit of funky smell.Breakfast: We booked through Priceline and it was not mentioned that breakfast was included, but it was with the options of Omelet, boiled eggs, sausages, Waffles, cereal, coffee, yogurt, juices, bread and bagels.Parking: As others mentioned, they have a covered parking lot but with limited spots and some parking lines having pillars in between. We went on a weekday so there were many open and easy to park spots. They also have security which monitors the lot between 9 PM to 7 AM. Although we didn't see any homeless people in/around the lot but having monitoring gave extra sense of security. We saw some extra parking spots in the back as well through the room window but don't know if it belonged to the same hotel or not.Lobby: It was very close to parking. We came from a long drive and my wife had to use the restroom real bad, but upon asking, the receptionist said there are no restrooms even though there was one on the second floor (which we found out later) and she clearly knew we are checking in.

She wrote down my name and cell # as though they would do something.... then she showed me another post-it note.for another person who had stayed in another room and also complained of fleasNoteworthy details: Fleas!!!!! I do not need to say more

Terrible room. My dad woke up with 15 bug bites and later in the day we went back to the room and found ticks. The mattress sheets also had burn holes from cigarettes. The front desk people may be nice but it won’t fix the fact that these rooms suck and are dirty and filthy.

Booked an accessible room due to a shoulder & knee injury. Showed up to the property, greeted by an employee who didn’t seem to care about their job, then was put in a regular room. When checking out, waited for almost 30 minutes just for someone to show up to the front desk. When he did show up, he acted as if it was no big deal for a guest trying to check out of an airport hotel (which might indicate a need to catch a flight) to have to wait 30 minutes just to check out vs leaving (no express checkout available).I got status matched to Choice Diamond so I was going to try staying with Choice Hotels more, but considering these have been inching more & more to the price point of Marriotts, Hiltons, & Hyatts, I’m just going to stick with the brands I can actually expect quality from.

The location is great as it's only a mile from the airport but everything else is pretty lacking. Cracked bathtub, broken blinds, a breakfast consisting of Tang (very fake orange juice) and frozen mini muffins. Lots of scratches and cracks in the walls that could easily be painted over. The refrigerator was constantly turning on and off all night making it difficult to sleep. You definitely get what you pay for, just try not to look around the room too much.

Nice decent rooms and plenty of free parking and the breakfast are good enough to get you started on your day?

No Shuttle service from the airport. Had to pay for a taxi to get me to the hotel because we called then over and over and no one would answer our call. Got to the hotel and no one was at the front desk to help us out. Then we spoke to someone only to tell us our room (double queen) was unavailable due to a water leak in the room. To top it off, breakfast in the morning was basically coffee and Cereal. No staff working and the poorest “hot breakfast” I’ve seen. Hard pass for next time…

The location is good as it is close to the airport. As for the rooms that is a 1 1/2 star. The beds are clean however the rooms smell, no remote to the TV's and there was some items left from previous guest.

Average hotel at best. Would not stay here again. Room was clean but had a musty smell and the carpet had many stains on it. When I walked in to check in there was no one at the front desk and after I rang the desk bell it took a few minutes for someone to show up, even though I could hear people talking in the office. Very average customer service. Location was good because I needed to be close to the airport but I won't stay here again.

Don’t judge this book by its cover. I almost did. The outset was a little dated and I was think, based on the lobby that I wasn’t going to keep my reservation- but I got my room and it was very nice. The staff was very helpful and attentive and everything in my room was SUPER clean. The bathroom is nice and everything worked well. No complaints from me on this economy stay. Exactly what I was hoping to accomplish - a safe, clean place to rest my head on a business trip. No breakfast, but I’ll let that slide.

Rooms are usually good with comfortable beds. I stayed in several rooms over the past year and many had light bulbs not working. One room had a badly stained sofa which was ripped as though a cat had been sharpening it's claws on it. One shower didn't work well, most of the water bypassed the shower and went straight to the bathtub. Room service isn't the best. Front desk people are great ?.Lack of maintenance was the big issue for me. Zero breakfast but often there's coffee. Overall a decent place.Edit August 2022: There is now new management, a man and woman. They are pleasant but tried to overcharge me by a large amount when I asked to stay an extra night - I've been staying there much of the past 4 months.. All the great front desk people have now gone, and they were nice folk. Now there are just these 2, 24/7. Check your bank account if you book at the hotel, otherwise use third parties or the app. There is a very basic breakfast. The new management bought new coffee cups but not lids! Maybe they are trying to save money by using the lids from previously, but they don't fit. Standards are being lowered. I stayed in 4 other hotels since I was last there and may not return over my next few months San Jose. By trying to save a few dollars they've lost thousands from me.
