We had an awesome experience here. Josh was super helpful. We tried to get a new putter for my daughter. He was very patient to listen what we need and gave us his feedback based on his experience. We found the putter according to his suggestions, and he also adjusted the putter to make it fits even better. After having the new putter, her putting is improved a lot. Really appreciate his help and for sure will go back to do more fittings in the future. Highly recommended.

I was fitted for wedges by Club Champion’s fitter Jeff Lamy and it was a great experience! He was friendly, listened and extremely knowledgeable. I’m confident what he picked out and modified specifically for my height, swing speed and angle of attack will make my approach shots from 100 yards and in much more accurate and repeatable! I had a truly awesome time doing club fittings with Josh Perri at Club Champion San Jose. I started with a driver fitting – and enjoyed it so much I continued coming back – and ended up fitting the full bag including irons, woods, wedges and putter. Needless to say, I am a big fan.Josh does a great job of methodically going through the process to identify the ideal shaft and head combo in any fitting – but one real plus is, he also will give you feedback on a thing or two you can tweak in your swing to help get the best read out and results from the fitting (e.g., on the driver fitting – he had me get further from the ball).He has a direct style and an edgy sense of humor – and is very committed to his craft – so the most important thing when you go in is – don’t take yourself too seriously – just go with his process and enjoy it - you’ll love your clubs in the end.

This was my first fitting experience. Josh was super helpful & such an easy person to work with. He gave a lot of feedback, many options on what to get also super responsive when it comes to general questions. I’m just happy I found a place that I’ll be going to any other clubs in the future at. Highly recommended!!

Josh does a great job going beyond and explaining why he makes his fitting decisions and why it would be a good idea for my swing and my game. He's quick to say why he wouldn't try certain combinations, and it gives me confidence that he knows what is best. Almost every club currently in my bag was fit at club champion. The putter fitting was one of the best golf investments I've ever made.

I have to give Josh some love here too. He's always been friendly and helpful, and was able to help me out with a few things when Vik wasn't around. I wouldn't hesitate coming back here in the future to work with any of these guys. They genuinely want you to have a great experience, and they seem to have a great time doing what they do.

I went into this fitting skeptical given some of the online reviews (of the Club Champion chain in general) about their pushy upselling tendencies. My experience was not only informative but also enjoyable.First, Vik was awesome. He was pleasant, sociable, knowledgeable and really took the time to understand what I was looking for in the fitting. I went into the fitting with a preference but an open mind. He took my preference (Mizuno) into account but also had me try Vokeys and I believe Callaway as well. And although I didn't get the model I initially wanted, T24 in copper (they look so damn sexy), I still purchased Mizuno S23's which I'm 100% convinced were much more forgiving and a seamless transition from my Pro 225 irons.Vik explained PUREing but didn't push on it which I was very thankful for since I wasn't interested.In summary, I got the bottom of my bag properly gapped, some awesome feeling and spinning wedges plus grips that match the rest of my bag for about $80 more than if I had bought them off the shelf. (They had a 50% fitting promo at the time)I couldn't recommend Vik at Club Champion more. He made my fitting fun, productive and pressure free. I quite literally couldn't have asked for more.Thank you Vik and I'll be back for my putter fitting!

It was a great experience. The staff are super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The venue is kind of tucked away but once you're inside, it's just a golfing treasure trove. great experience. Happy I finally did my first putter fitting here. Will be beck for some other clubs. I would recommend using them.

Great experience. Josh Perri was my advisor. The process: Started by warming up. Discussed what I was looking for from our session. Then he picked out some irons on the heavier side (my preference) to start me out. Honestly I wasn't used to the new weight and it showed in my swing. Josh kept me calm and told me to trust the process. Sure enough we started focusing on the driver (my priority that day). We moved through 4 or 5 driver heads and literally found 2 options that added 80 yards of carry to my drives. Smash ratio raised significantly to reinforce solid hits off the club face.Josh was great. A true professional. He'll listen to your thoughts on the club and how it feels in your hands and then narrow you down to two final options. From there you look at the data from Trackman to make the perfect guilt free decision which will enforce your willingness to drop major money on a club(s). Numbers don't lie.I would definitely recommend Club Champion. This will be a two year gradual investment for me to update my whole bag.

I have been fit for clubs a few times in the past. The selection of options at Club Champions was amazing. I do not like hitting off of mats, and the benefit of the indoor fitting surprised me ( no wind, no wet grass for true roll out on the screen, no noisy distractions ,...) John Torres, my fitter, was great to work with. He made me feel comfortable right from the beginning and made sure I was informed of the process before we started. John reviewed what to expect from the trackman numbers and what the goal was for optimal performance on the course. I was impressed by the the attention I got during the three hour process and the detailed fitting.I will be back!

As a newer golfer this was my first club fitting experience and would recommend it to anyone who is proactively trying to improve their game. Josh Perri was my fitter and did a great job creating a comfortable environment and explaining all the metrics being used to dial in the right club and shaft combinations to optimize performance. Josh immediately identified issues with lie angle, shaft length and inconsistent swing weights in my current setup and was able to hone in on gear that not only produced better trajectory and more distance but also more consistent ball striking. I did a full bag fitting which is a significant investment but at no point during the process did I feel like I was being "sold", it was an objective process based on optimizing performance. I'm looking forward to putting the new set to use.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Considering this shop is very new to the area you'd think they would have excellent customer service. Josh greeted me after entering the store asking what I needed? Not a hello just a what do you need? I told him I needed my irons bent flat and if I could book an appointment? He began to ask me a bunch of questions in a super condescending tone. Why don't you go to golf galaxy (who recommends a competitor) How do you know that? How do you know they need to be bent flat? Why didn't Titleist do that for you? Etc etc... He could see I was getting annoyed then he said this... "it's not worth my time to schedule an appointment so just leave them here and I'll get to them in 3-4 days". I was so mad I literally walked out.Beign a former small business owner and a PGA professional I was appalled at his attitude and behavior. I've been to a few other club champion locations and they have all been great. If you're looking to get fit or spend several thousand on clubs I suggest you go to another bay area shop.

Josh Perri of Club Champion San Jose (Formerly San Carlos) is an expert as his craft and the new store is absolutely brilliant. I was formerly fit into amazing Woods and Wedges and just finished a fitting into some amazing Mizuno irons. The whole process makes you feel like like you're at an elite place, from the equipment, to the fitter, to the setting. I can't recommend it enough. I went from a 18 to a 14 Handicap and hoping to become single digits soon with these new irons. Thanks Josh and CC team!

I found this place to be a great resource for upgrading my equipment and learning more about my game. I worked with Josh and after getting fit for new irons, I went back for a woods fitting as well. Highly recommended for anyone considering pro fitting.I can honestly say after getting dialed at Club Champion I’m finding more fairways and greens. If only I could buy putting skills…
