Update: got the Tesla Powerwall 3 installed by Clean Solar and was a wonderful experience from Logan meeting me to give the options, and all the steps from beginning to end. Install team was great, follow up was great too. Cris, Jesse, Nick Suzanne some of the names I interacted with were there when needed and it was smooth organized from start to finish

I spoke with Art Balaoro about adding solar to my home in Marin. Although they don’t work north of the Golden Gate Bridge, Art still spent over an hour with me to review my needs and offer a recommended system. Seldom in my professional career have I met someone so selfless in trying to help me out (referred from family who is happy with Clean Solar). Great guy and company to work with, if you are in their area of service!

CleanSolar installed solar panels and Powerwall batteries at my house. Very professional.
The process: 1) I sent details about my project 2) a phone call with an engineer who walked me through the proposal, described options for solar panels, invertors, batteries, etc. 3) finalize design, file a permit 4) installation 5) final inspection 6) paperwork to PG&E to get permission to send energy to the grid.
Getting from the initial conversation to installation took a few months. Installation itself - 2 days. There was a minor installation issue, one panel was not correctly connected to the string. They identified the problem on the day of installation and fixed shortly after. Final inspection passed without issues. The system has been working well since installation.

I requested quotes for a solar and battery installation from three installers. I chose to go with Clean Solar because they were able to work closely with me to understand my technical needs and educate me regarding local ordinances, as well as PG&E requirements. The sales agent (Logan) worked closely with their technical staff to ensure that their proposed installation met my needs. I have two electric cars and came to understand that I needed two batteries to better manage my vehicle charging. The installation happened as promised, and there was only a minor issue requiring correction during the inspection which was handled promptly.

I've just added solar panels to an original CleanSolar install.
As previously, the experience was absolutely outstanding. From beginning to end: working with Art, to the construction (working with Jose) to the inspection (working with Cris + Michelle) everyone goes above and beyond in communication and preparation.
Everything this company does is up to the highest standard -- no short cuts are taken -- which was my original draw.
CleanSolar has been great in suggesting alternative ways to install my panels and batteries due to several constraints at the work site. They come with a problem solving attitude -- especially Art -- and I really appreciate that.
All in all, I wouldn't consider going with anyone else.

Clean solar installed a PV system on our roof in 2023. We got our permit in March right before the switch to NEM 3.0 and it was clear that the Clean Solar team were very busy indeed. Despite this they were able to get us through the permitting process and queue the install for later in 2023. Charlie Rebich and team did a great job designing a system that works well, looks great and did not require an expensive upgrade to 200A service. The PV installation was relatively painless and the system has been working very well for six months. We are very happy we made the investment and happy we went with Clean Solar.

My experience with Clean Solar has been 5-stars at all points in the process. Their sales team was knowledgeable, thorough, and open about the pros/cons of solar. The project manager kept in touch and kept us informed as to the steps involved in the planning process. They even worked with us to get our system installed before our financing expired. Their field teams were very kind, and made themselves available to me with any questions. They kept our yard clean, and once they battery and panels were installed, they painted any visible conduit with paint we provided.
Clean Solar was a little pricier than other competitors, but we decided to go with them based on the stellar customer service reviews. This has already paid off in that there was a small issue we discovered after install. They were at our house the next day to fix the issue, and didn't leave until the issue was resolved.

I contacted Clean Solar and communicated with Art. He is a very professional individual, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and a great communicator. I really enjoy the whole process for solar panel installation and roof replacement. Talk to them and see for yourself.

I am pleased with the solar system installed by Clean Solar and timely for the NEMS2 with PGE. In addition, I requested the critter guard to protect my investment. Craig Rush, Site Analyst at Clean Solar, has been always very responsive and helpful to answer any questions I have with details. Never hesitate to come to the site to check and make sure everything is working fine whenever I have any doubts. Every time, no issue with the system for the 5 years we have purchased and own the system.
