SCAM CITY like every other review, they are extremely overpriced, and try to act dumb. I bought something for 2.99 and they didn’t give me the change (mind you it’s just a penny so I didn’t care) but they didn’t even ask just kept it. I’ve came here multiple times and each time if you buy more than one item they will up charge you even more

Thieves! I paid cash for a 6 pack of Leffe beer (normally $10-$11) and realized when I got my change that I’d been charged 18.99 (no receipt and their prices aren’t marked), I told him I didn’t want it and he said too bad and refused to reverse the purchase. I hadn’t even left the store! This is a total rip off store. Do not buy there!!

Stay away from this store, they will over charge you. I sent my son here to get me a drink. He got a Dr pepper a jaritos and some mints. The total was $13.00 when he asked how much everything was they said the Dr pepper was $2.99 the jaritos was $2.00 and the mints were $2.00. He said then why is it $13.00. They started to argue with him and he just said whatever and paid it. This has happened multiple times, they over charge him every time. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE

First I will say that I try to shop locally in the neighborhood where I live. I love my neighborhood, have lived here for years and want to support every small business on the Alameda! Small businesses are so important to our economy and the freedom of our choices. That said, it makes me really sad to say that this is a store that I hope NO ONE supports. This evening I went in to get a 6 pack of Leffe beer (normally $10-$11 at any other store). I didn't see a price but I had bought there before so when I was given back $1 change I said no, how much for the beer? The clerk said $18.99 and I said no thank I do not want this and he refused to refund my money. I had not even picked the beer up from the counter! I've since read that this has happened to numerous people so I urge you NOT TO BUY from this store. They are thieves and ripping us off. Go anywhere else.

If I could give this place -5 stars I would! Over priced, they charge what they want and take advantage due to the location convenience. The cashiers obviously pocket the extra dollars they add to your tab, go elsewhere BEWARE!!!!!

I'm all for supporting local businesses but this place is taking it too far with the rip off prices. I just paid $5.99 for a Coke 2 liter. This is an affluent area but just out of principle I will stop supporting this place.

Overpriced, they 'decide' the price of stuff as they ring it up (basically overcharge). After getting the 'total cost' of a set of items, I asked the price for each individually and they did not add up to the total.Scammers, go somewhere else instead

I went in for a 6 pack of bud light and was charged almost $15. I said f*** this place and put it back. I now frequent the liquor store on the corner of Race and Park. I bought the same 6 pack for $9 and some change after taxes. DO NOT GO TO CITY MARKET, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!! Sucks because I live in the apartments attached to that s*** store but still have to drive down the street.
