These people are liars and disrespectful do not go to this location specifically the supervisor by the name of Anahi as well as the other girl employed here by the name of Christina Escobezo these people lied to me and gave me a fairytale of how I would get a $1000 credit line for paying my secured card for a year instead they were very rude and disrespectful cussing at me over the phone. They continued to beat around the issue I was having and came up with their own personal solution instead of a professional one. Very bad experience here please do not go to this location . Bad buisness!!

They're so eager to leave that they close before the time it says they're closed. Tried to pay my car was there 10 mins before closing time and once I got there and tried opening the door they said they were closed already as I saw them inside with 10 minutes before closing. But they're so quick to put a late payment on your record

I hate this bank !! Ever since I opened my account there is ALWAYS a issue !! From atm being broken it’s just way to complicated the account number to your direct deposit is not the exact number on your account you have to add. A zero or a one whatever it’s just doing to much super slow service I hate calling customer service it’s takes forever to actually talk to someone oh and when you get the call back the reception suks just waiting on my taxes to changes this bank please don’t bank here !!!

Their ATM is broken like someone tried breaking it to hack your credit card info and failed and left it. I told the staff and they said it works fine and it’s not broken. I’m like okay I understand it works but it doesn’t mean I still want to use it because now I will just feel it’s unsafe. This is how people usually get their card info stolen. Other than that this bank is okay, just very slow at service. Going inside to get anything don’t with a teller takes 5 minutes

Wow! I work in Hayward California, and my branch is in San Jose. My card was considered fraudulent and canceled, a new card was sent to my branch. The branch was supposed to close at 5:00 on this Wednesday evening and I left early from work at 4:00 to try to get there before 5:00. Because traffic is getting more and more back to pre-pandemic levels, I was not going to make it before 5. Two very nice ladies were so gracious and kind enough to wait for me after hours in order for me to get my card so that I may activate it that night and make a very important purchase. I am so very grateful for these kind people that work here. Thank you guys very much you don't know how much you helped me today!

Decent credit union. Person handling our car lease paperwork made several mistakes, nowhere to park at, they require quite high credit score, which is good and bad at the same time.

Great branch. They explain the process of opening an account. Yes they are a union bank. Depending where you're going, finding cefcu banks maybe limited, but they are part of co op atm.system. And there are other co- op branches that are in network to use when traveling. There are way to figure which atms/branches are available online as well. The branch people do follow up with calls, making sure things are satisfactory as this something I do appreciate. I think other would appreciate hearing that too. Thanks Cecu!

Called to get information about opening a new account and was told they don't email any info over email.

I found out that unlike the standard credit union philosophy of helping people to get access to credit, this credit union will absolutely not loan to you if your credit score is not considered high enough, or if you have one or two late payments, Do not waste your time with this credit union if your credit is not perfect. It may as well be a bank.

Very nice credit union branch. Friendly staff. Extended hours make it convenient for working people. Well-lit ATM for non-branch hours.

Waste of time (or worse). Unlike several other CUs, they ask for UNnecessary and INappropriate personal details to open an account (utility bills etc., not just ID). And you won't get your card for a couple WEEKS (other decent CUs make you a card immediately). And they charge a 'fee' to open an account. And they say they have limited 'cash on hand', so IF you ever need to withdraw more that your daily limit (they run a credit-check to set this, when you open an account!), you must give them a few days notice! And you must open TWO accounts. And they have you talk to some mortgage broker, while simply opening a checking account! What is this, a 'popup' identity-theft scam 'store'? This a about the new branch just opened last month in Fremont, near Osgood Walmart (not listed on Yelp yet: please create&move this review to *WARN* Fremont area residents!!!) Edit: I forgot that to say that this new Fremont branch has a strange (broken?) ATM that *always* asks you to remove, then re-insert any (co-op net) ATM card: confusing! And they *curtly REFUSED* to change a $20bill that just came from that ATM, for two $10s. How RUDE! Do they suspect the money IN their ATM is 'fake'? ** STAY AWAY ** (use any 7-11 atm free). Any why are the 1star reviews 'filtered away'?

We are in the process of purchasing a home in another state. Using Cefcu as the bridge loan, we needed a very good loan officer to handle it. We reached out to Brendy for help and she went above all to help us get our new home! She was very accessible when needed, informed us of all we had to do, and worked well with the title company and realtors. This is a very stressful process and we had the right person to help us!

Fees, Fees, Fees. My wife went in yesterday to get a debit card. They wanted to run her credit to get a debit/visa card that accesses my own money. When she questioned it and said no, the teller looked at her and said "then, good-bye" with attitude. Crazy. I'm pulling my money and closing the account this weekend. My main financial institution is Technology Credit Union (TCU), so I have a good comparison. TCU is a great CU if looking. I was using CEFCU as a secondary bank for some checking, but mostly savings. I would not recommend CEFCU, there are much better out there....
