Good prices for the most part. However, not a store that you just pop into for 1 or 2 items. The lines are usually too long for that.

One of my school teachers was belittled here today because she was white and didn't speak spanish. She was distraught and very emotional. She's a tough woman, because she has to be with being a special needs teacher.Out of the kindness of her heart, she went out of her way to buy food for the special kids so they may enjoy a taco tuesday tomorrow as they have mobility constraints. What transpired was egregious, and i told her to call corporate, and she did. Workers are generally rude at this store, but this is why our families both dont come here anymore.

Unfortunately, they're extremely racist there! I was trying to buy $100 worth of carne asada, and they refused to sell to me.

I recently stopped by Cardenas Supermarket for a quick grocery run, primarily focusing on fresh produce. I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices for the items I needed, which included bell peppers, lettuce, cucumbers, and a few other essentials. The variety and quality of the produce were quite satisfactory, and I managed to find most of the items on my list without any hassle. The checkout process was quick, with a short line at the register. However, I did encounter a frustrating issue with the self-checkout register. It seems that the register has trouble accurately reading the weight of scanned items once they're placed on the scanned side. This glitch led to multiple instances where I needed to seek assistance from the attendant to resolve the problem. While the staff was helpful and responsive, having to repeatedly ask for help was a bit bothersome and slowed down the checkout experience.Despite the self-checkout hiccup, I appreciate Cardenas Supermarket's competitive prices for produce and the overall range of products they offer. It would be great if they could address the self-checkout issue to make the shopping experience even more convenient. Nevertheless, I'm satisfied with the variety and cost of the items I found during this visit.

Good prices on produce. Meat/ deli section has a large selection of meats. Most of the workers are kind and helpful. I was looking for a rare Mexican spice. They helped me find it!!

The taco Tuesday deal is amazing and the price is just right. I have probably bought over 100+ tacos here since it's one of my favorite spots for authentic Mexican food. My suggestion is to ask for the carne asada taco with salsa verde, it's what I usually get when I come and it's never failed me. Plus you can pick up some aqua de jamaica (hibiscus tea) or some coronas which will be the perfect accompaniment. I'll definitely be back for more and will bring my friends!

Never get a whole chicken for the next day to cook because they will go bad get it for the same day to cook 3 times I had to come back but never again will this happen to me i'd rather spend a little bit more money at Chavez super and have that peace of mind that the chicken is not going to go bad.

Expect LONG lines waiting to pay. Stinky meat department. Otherwise clean store.

Person in charge of deli doesn't know how to staff their department any day of the week long line that takes an upwards of 15 minutes just to buy simple items such as chicarron botanero, I wonder how badly this place gets when it's an actual holiday.....

I shop at a different Cardenas for the fresh produce and meats regularly but had to use the restroom at this location a few weeks ago and was pleased to find it available and clean. Friendly staff led me to the door and punched in the code for me. Thanks!

Not the best Cardenas, the other one near the O’Reilys seems to be better. We’ve been here when it used to be Mi Pueblo and Mi Pueblo was way better than what it is now. The quality of everything has gone down and I think what has affected it the most is the taqueria and the staff. The tacos used to be made with really fresh corn tortillas, now they’re made with some whole grain tortilla or something because they’re dark. With the staff that’s a whole different thing, this place is understaffed, there are not enough cashiers and simply just not enough staff. We’ve had one bad experience where one of the ladies that worked there started arguing with my mom and then another time was when we were trying to get a cake for my sisters birthday and nobody was there at the panadería. We had to get some other staff member who was kind enough to help but it just wasn’t enough because she put the cake in a box the wrong way and the cake started moving around so we didn’t end up buying it. The lady who helped us told us that the staff member who was supposed to be at the panadería left because she said she wasn’t feeling well.
