Tiffany and Arleen were amazing! Make sure I was happy and was super informative. As someone who works at a dealership even I was surprise by the level or genuine care and respect offered by her and her team. Definitely would recommend her for your next purchase!

Bought a used sequoia on 8/16/24 they were nice enough to hold the vehicle for me till 8/18/24 to pick up and drive it home. It Wasn’t till 1 hour in on my 2 hour drive home I noticed the steering wheel was shaking when I got to a certain speed. Which i wasn’t able to tell when i test drove it cause of San Jose traffic that day. 8/18/24 I texted my sales rep about it when I got home with the car. I Kinda got the run around she said I’ll have the used car director call me.Guess what no call! Texted my sales rep again she said they were gone for the day, But I could drive back 2 hours to the dealership to have them check it out. I told her if they were willing to pay for the day of work I would need to miss so I could bring it in I would. no answer, then she said she can give me her director# Sabrina I called her no answer I left a detailed message and still no call back. I Wasn’t going to wait around for them. As customer service doesn’t seem to matter to them. I’m not saying the customer is always right. I didn’t buy the fancies car there I know. I did purchase a warranty but obviously tires wasn’t covered so they GOT ME! But when some says if something is wrong with the car and will make it right when you are literally signing the paperwork for the car you take there word for it. But here you can’t sorry to say. Her name is Mayra ramirez. And her boss Sabrina. It also shows they don’t know what is going on in there service department when vehicles are getting inspected there. You should know as a sales rep what you’re selling. 8/20/24 i fixed the problem by putting new tires on the car which i paid personally for. Cause warranty doesn’t cover it. 8/20/24 still no call back form the director or sales rep. I don’t like leaving reviews but I feel like I should. so people know when making a big purchase. And maybe if the dealership read this they might contact me and try and make it right. Even know there not obligated too.

This was originally going to be a 5 star review before our frustrating experience with the finance department at Capitol Toyota. Buying a car is always a headache but this one actually started smoothly. Our sales rep Ahmad Jamous worked patiently with to discuss numbers and arrive at something we agreed on. He was great about answering our questions and asking his management when he didn’t know the answer. Honestly had a great experience working with him. We negotiated a reasonable lease deal on a 2024 Toyota Rav4 Prime XSE with $7k in lease and student rebates. We also put down $6660 in MSDs. By the time we met with finance rep Jorge Cabrera, it was around 8pm. We had been at the dealership for about 5 hours at that point. Jorge went through the signing paperwork rather quickly as we had to ask to go back and read some of the numbers again before signing. The contract stated that a total of $10340 was due at signing and with the $7k worth of rebates, we should owe $3340 in cash. However, Jorge’s management told him to collect $10k which we thought was strange at the time but didn’t question further as we thought that the $10k was just part of the $10340 we owed. When we got home, my partner and I took another look at the contract and realized that we overpaid because the $10k collected wasn’t applied anywhere. The next day we came back to the dealership at 10am and Jorge wasn’t there yet so Sam from the finance team helped us. We explained that $10k was collected when only $3340 should have been, as clearly stated on the contract and Sam said it seems we were right but he needed to talk to Jorge to understand the complete context. Jorge then called my partner back around 1pm and they kept arguing back and forth as Jorge was trying to explain why it was correct that he collected $10k. We once again drove back to the dealership and met Jorge in person. We explained our confusion at the discrepancy, stating that the extra cash collected wasn’t being applied anywhere. Jorge did some testing on his software and showed us that if removed our rebates, the monthly payments go down so the money was being applied. He said that the 10k was the sum of the $6600 MSDs and the $3340 owed in cash and that we shouldn’t have done the MSDs as they aren’t very familiar with it. I asked if we can redo the contract and he said no because he already sent it to the bank and it’s not possible to void. Honestly at that point we were overwhelmed by the numbers and left thinking it all made sense. But when I walked out, I stared at the paperwork again and was pretty confident that the extra cash collected should have reduced the adjusted cap cost but it didn’t. I went back in again and at this point Jorge finally asked for help from another finance manager named Arleen Marcos. Within 5 minutes of looking at the contact Arleen realized it was done incorrectly because Jorge collected $10k but the paperwork shows $3340 was collected. When she inputted the correct numbers it all made sense. However, they still were confused about the MSDs and as a result we agreed to take off the MSDs and apply the 10k as downpayment on the lease. However without the MSDS, Jorge said that his management bumped the money factor up to a number that was greater than what another dealership gave me without the MSDs. I voiced this concern and they agreed to give me the matching money factor to “keep the customer happy”. Arleen was able to redo the contract and void the previous one.
Mistakes happen and if handled right can be forgiven. I am pretty upset about how this was handled. We took it upon ourselves to understand the numbers and found a mistake only to be told repeatedly that we were wrong. We came back to the dealership two additional times. No one apologized for wasting our time, causing us stress and making us feel like we didn’t understand what we were talking about. At end of the day, none of this would have happened if the correct amount of $3340 was collected.

I have been here three time. Every time I made an online appointment. The first time I went I waited 25 minutes before I was helped, and cars that came after were helped before me.
The second time the check in was smoother, but I did not receive a call regarding the status of my car. It was close to closing and I called several times. I called the national number and they got in touch with the service department.
The third time the online appointments were not showing up in their system, but they still got me in. I was expecting a call to pick up my car. Yet, I got a call that my car had been slightly damaged by a technician driving 5mph. They did provide a rental. However, I drive part time for Uber so I lost $100+ a day and I was not compensated. It was impossible to get a hold of the manager, until I called the national number. They escalated the issue. Afterwards communication was much better.

No shuttle service and oil change wait time is 2 hrs. Lyft service cost me $50. Under warrant at present so no cost to me . It would have cost $180 for oil change? Needs new management or dealership will fail.
