I had an absolutely horrendous experience with Canyon Creek Pet Hospital. From the moment I called, it became apparent that their receptionists are the epitome of incompetence. The wait times on the phone were unbearable, and it seemed like they were more interested in testing my patience than providing any sort of assistance. What infuriated me even more was their shameless attempt to extract more money under the guise of "by the law wellness checks" before administering any vaccines. It felt like they were trying to nickel-and-dime pet owners, prioritizing their profits over the well-being of our furry friends. I expected a veterinary clinic to prioritize the health of animals, not constantly look for ways to pad their pockets. To make matters worse, their apparent knowledge of the "law" regarding wellness checks is absurd. They refused to honor their own doctor's examination within the year or even consider another reputable veterinarian's wellness check. It's clear that they are more interested in maximizing revenue than acknowledging the professional opinions of other qualified practitioners. This entire experience left me with the impression that Canyon Creek Pet Hospital has no consideration for the wellbeing of pets or the valuable time of their owners. It's disheartening to see a place that should be dedicated to animal health instead focused on profit at the expense of quality care. I would strongly advise pet owners to think twice before trusting this establishment with the health of their beloved animals.

WORST VET EVER!! They don’t even care about your pet!I took my dog to the hospital in May for a titer test for an international trip. Dr. Ohara Maryan sent me a doc contains WRONG information about the requirements for a pet to travel internationally. I followed her instructions and did the titer test spending more than 700 dollars. Now they told me the test was invalid for some reason and the information on the doc she gave me was WRONG, which means I spent 700 dollars for nothing. After it happened, they sent Dr. Gaster Paz to talk with me to solve the problem. However, Dr. Gaster refused to refund me and blamed the whole thing on me for not double checking the requirements on the third party website before asking for the titer test from them. Also, he said they always encouraged the customers to check on third party website before asking for any tests from them!!It was very ridiculous because:First, I never received any messages or emails like “they encouraged us to check on the third party website” from Dr. Ohara. It was made up.Second, they could also say the same thing to you when they gave your pet WRONG medicine or surgery that lead to the bad results and refused to take the responsibility and blamed it all on you for not checking the “third-party website” before buying the medicine or agreed on the surgery even if they never said that. which is completely ridiculous and irresponsible!NEVER ever send your pet to the hospital like this for your own baby’s safety!

I love Canyon Creek! They take great care of my crazy Golden Retriever (soon to be two crazy Goldens). Every single staff member, from receptionists to technicians to doctors are so kind, caring, and helpful. They really make your pet feel like a priority. Everyone takes the time to fully and patiently explain every detail of your pet's appointment, which is impressive because everyone in the vet industry is stretched so thin right now.Dr. O'Hara and Dr. Gafter are such a pleasure to deal with - super professional, intelligent and informative with great bedside manner. I have most frequently been assisted by Genesis (technician) who is extremely skilled and personable - I am delighted to see her every time!My gratitude goes out to your team, your care for clients and love for our pets shows through everything you do.

They lost a loyal customer today. I brought my rescue here for everything and have already spent a lot of money because I always say YES to whatever they recommend. So when the vet said he’s due for an influenza shot but then I come back one week later for the booster and it’s on back order. He gets all his other boosters but expect me to come back and start his influenza shot boosters again. It’s 45 dollars a shot. So now I have to drive for two more appointments and have my dog get vaccines again because they administered a shot to my dog they didn’t even have a secured booster for the following week. Some of us don’t like unnecessarily giving our dogs expensive vaccines. All I was told is they can’t refund me because the first shot was administered. Again this is a shot they recommended and did not keep track of if there was going to be a booster to give him the following week. I usually go above and beyond for my dog for any issues he has and was happy with the vet techs, vets, and staff. They left me feeling scammed. Why advise someone to get a vaccine you don’t even have. I have easily paid 500 dollars at one appointment and never complained. This situation left me feeling like I can’t trust them to recommend vaccines or treatments. It’s truly poor business ethics to expect a client to pick up the slack on a mistake you made. The least you could do is refund the client if they chose to go somewhere else because you were not able to keep your end of the transaction.

The care team at Canyon Creek is exceptional. The doctors have prolonged my dog Belle’s life and helped us to navigate a cancer diagnosis while placing a high regard on quality of life!I would also like to personally thank Mallory for taking the time to listen to my concerns before my dog’s recent visit and expediting the office visit. Belle wasn’t as anxious and came through without the usual panting and stress that visiting the vet usually causes.

I brought my Miniature Schnauzer here because his previous vet couldn’t/wouldn’t provide a diagnosis of a very sick dog.I called Canyon Creek and was able to get him seen the next morning. The vet suggested they repeat the X-Ray from two weeks prior and she was able to diagnose liver cancer so at least we now knew what was wrong.Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to our little guy and Canyon Creek vet and staff were emphatic and caring. We got to spend time with him and they made him comfortable and provided us privacy for a difficult time.

Absolutely awful experience. Overcharges their customers by ludicrous amounts, unprofessional workers, and a clueless vet. Only go here if you would like to get charged $1000 for a bandaid!

My dog had an emergency, I called them and they were able to accept me as a regular appointment the same day (much cheaper than emergency). Accepted us immediately. Was very efficient and professional! Also the price wasn’t bad for the Bay Area. One of the cheapest I came across. Thank you so much!

We used to have great service at this vet location. However, since pandemic, customer service seems to have gone down. It almost impossible to get an appointment with the location. They used to accept making appointment through emails which work great for us; then they told us to make appointment by calling which was fine. The issue is whenever we called, we could never get through to anyone at the front desk and had to leave a message telling them to call us back to make appointments. Almost every time we never got a call back. I called in 3 weeks ago to make an appointment, also had to leave a message, have never received a call back.We have switched to a new vet as it seems impossible to get to anyone here.

We were referred to Dr. Gafter by a friend when our dog was sick. We got an appointment pretty quickly and the doctor and staff were really professional and caring during the whole process.

The most recent visit will be my dog's last. My brother brought our dog in on a Sunday because he was limping. They told us there's probably a cut or a bug bite on his foot, so they shaved it and saw some inflammation and gave us an ointment and steroid. No real diagnosis, but along with his annual shots, the visit cost us $555. It's Wednesday at 1:30 AM now, and I'm waiting for my dog at an emergency vet clinic. A few hours ago, my dog was limping to the point where he didn't want to put his foot down. Then his foot just started bleeding and didn't stop for about 4 hours. The vet at the emergency clinic found a foxtail that got under his skin, causing him so much pain. My dog has been sedated so they can remove this foxtail, and I probably won't get to go home for another hour. Needless to say, this visit is costing us even more than the original because it is an after hours emergency visit. More than anything, I am glad my dog will be relieved of pain after tonight, but I point the finger at Canyon Creek for not thoroughly evaluating my dog and treating him correctly, wasting my time and money, and causing my dog prolonged pain and discomfort.

I've been to this vet a couple years back when my dog got sick. At first everything went well until they slapped us with a bill with drugs they've already administered to our dog. I recently wanted to give this place a second chance but unfortunately their front desk just sucked. Initially being nice turned into rude/condescending. People don't work your job, so they don't know what is suppose to be given to their dog. As a front desk, answer questions, helping the pet parents understand what is being done (clarification), and doing the math (bill/quote) is part of your job.

Came here for my dog awhile back. Obviously cause the dog wasn't feeling well. The vet is good however the front desk person seems mad when asking questions. Will not return
