My husband and I have used Boxby before and have always been satisfied with their service. However, that drastically changed this month. We ordered boxes to be delivered on Monday as well as on Wednesday. We received confirmation notices that we could expect the deliveries at specific windows. Come Monday we didn't receive the boxes and attempted to call them, only to discover that they were closed. The next day after calling, we were told that due to a migration issue of their system, our order was not actually placed and we would not be receiving any boxes. There was no notice on their website notifying people who are going there that there was a current issue with their services and or anything to stop people from doing what we did. This is completely unacceptable as a customer service company, and especially the impact that this has on it's customers when it is known within the bay area that we have very tight moving windows. I find it impossible to believe that they had no way of checking to make sure that their previous system was processing orders so that they could notify people after an order was placed that there was a bug and what to/not expect. I myself have been a part of multiple system migrations, and I have never seen something like this that so negatively impacts accompanies company customer base.

Supposed to deliver on Friday, they don't. They don't have a working phone number. I emailed & they said the truck is broken and will deliver on Monday between 10-11am. At 930am the delivery man calls & says he is outside. He left the boxes on the sidewalk and left. I had to carry the 40 boxes up my 3 flights of stairs by myself (when I booked the service they knew I lived on 3rd floor - they said they would bring them to my front door). Terrible service. Use literally any other company that you can.

Unreasonable company/employees and will charge you extra fees My window of pick-up was between 8 and 11 am. The driver arrived at 9 am and I had the 40 boxes ready, but I couldn't find the dolly. I was looking around my garage for it and as soon as the man finished packing the boxes, he said he was going to mark the dolly as missing. Well 2 minutes later I found the dolly and I tried calling him but he didn't pick up. When I called central offices, they told me it was too late because he was "in route to the next location" and that I had to either take the dolly myself (mind you I am 9 months pregnant) or pay $30 for them to pick it up. All because he couldn't turn around and drive 2 minutes.

They really suck. Don't trust them with your stuff. My boxes arrived on time. I packed them. They picked them up. That's about all that went right. Their email system messed up and sent me packing instructions 2 weeks after my items were already picked up. I ended up with a bunch of serial numbers for my boxes but no pictures, so I couldn't figure out which was which. Customer service was really slow. After several weeks of back and forth, they agreed to send my boxes back to me so I could re-inventory them. When the boxes arrived, one was missing. I checked my account and there was 1 fewer box than I had sent them. I'm trying to get the situation resolved. No idea if they'll be able to track down the missing box. Fortunately it was something replaceable, but many of my items weren't - I had stuff from my wedding, plates from my grandmother, etc. What if they had lost those? They offer wardrobe boxes, but don't ship or store them correctly. When I opened the wardrobe box, half of the clothes were in a pile on the floor. They had definitely been turned sideways (the boxes are labeled with an "up" arrow).

I used Boxbee for my move from SF to LA. The boxes are great. Very sturdy, spacious, stackable. They come with plenty of labels and zip ties to secure the tops and close the boxes. We bought the 40 pack and realized that we didn't need to use all those and asked Boxbee if they could pick up some of them early. We were able to work out a deal to use 25 boxes (which is equivalent to their smallest package) and they would come to pick up the unused boxes in SF before our move. We were reimbursed for the unused boxes which was great. They held up well during the move and our moving company even commented that they really liked the boxes - so they are mover approved! Finally, once we arrived to our new place, we realized that we would need more time to unpack and boxbee was able to accomodate us by allowing us to keep the boxes a few extra days. Overall would recommend using these and the company was flexible with our changes thoughout.

They were life savers! The process was very easily and smooth. If I know someone moving I will recommend. If and when I move again I know where to go! Thank you all for making moving just that much easier!

They called me right at my delivery time and told me they wouldn't be able to make it because they didn't have enough drivers. Instead of trying to solve the problem, they suggested that we reschedule for next week. Moving is a time-sensitive event and something that can't be easily rescheduled. Customer support did not try to help solve the issue at all. Do yourself a favor and go with another company.

Boxbee moving created are the way to go! The crates are light, sturdy, and extremely stackable. You can practically place any items in the crates with out the fear of the crate breaking like your conventional cardboard boxes. Also, the cost of renting the crates is far less than buying moving boxes... For a 2/2 move I used about 25 crates.

I used Boxbee in my recent move and they were fantastic! The crates were clean, large and sturdy. They were perfect for any large items, especially kitchenware as I always find those items hard to pack! The crates were stackable which made them easy to transport on a dolly and it gave me a sense of security that they wouldn't topple over. It also helped save me so much space! Boxbee made the whole moving process easy. Their customer service was great and they were quick to answer any questions I had. I'll definitely be using them in the feature.

I have been getting serious about purging any excess items I tend to hold on to. I finally parted ways with boxes I just lugged around move after move without even knowing what is inside. It's a relief. So I have this opportunity to box up items that I need to keep but not have to keep at home. I know they are safe and can accessed anytime. I have so much room at home now. Boxbee is a great service for those who do not have a lot of space but not enough to spend on self storage. My experience with self storage is I need the unit big enough for me to store my boxes but also need to get to them easily, this never happens. Self storage is expensive too. Its inconvenient and there are often reports of break ins. Boxbee allows me to manage my crates online and add descriptions of each crate so if I need to access them I know exactly which crate and they will deliver to me and/or pick up next day. You can zip tie them shut for added security. I would recommend storing your stuff in these crate, not a service for storing furniture, but whatever you can fit into the crates. It's affordable too.

The boxes are great but I had a bad experience during the box recollection process. When all is good, every company can outperform but it's the bad times that make a difference. Unfortunately this company's customer service sucks in that sense. Here is what happened to me... Last week, I moved into a large apartment complex with over a hundred units. The only way for visitors to enter the building is to use the lobby and take the elevator upstairs. However, the person who came to pick up the boxes did not check in the lobby to enter the building. Instead he only called me on my cell. Unfortunately I was in a meeting at that time and I could only return the call in like 3-5 minutes after. The person on the phone (Samantha O.) told me that the driver was already gone - despite the fact that my wife was waiting them at home. I asked if they could collect the boxes afterwards, but she refused in a rude manner. When I told her that we had babies at home and that the boxes were creating a safety risk she lowered her tone and accepted to collect them the next day. Well... You'd think the problem is solved right? Apparently, you are wrong! Samantha O. sent me an email stating that they'll be charging an extra $50 ($30 for the failed delivery and $20 for the extended rental) and this is all because the driver did not want to step out of his car to enter the building. Their boxes may be sturdy but the service I received really sucks. Others may have positive views but I would never recommend this company. There are plenty of alternatives out there. Boxbee. I just want to let you know that you may hbr made an extra $50 today but totally lost the trust of a customer! I had even sent you guys an email saying that the boxes could be picked up earlier.

Renting moving boxes is great improvement over using cardboard boxes. Have used rental boxes for many moves and decided to give Boxee a try. Boxes are solid and clean and delivery was done in the time window given. The delivery guy was great. On the other side of the coin, Boxbee is struggling to commit to specific delivery windows in advance. They ask for two delivery windows when you book and then the day before the delivery they say what they can do. Not an ideal but in the end boxes were delivered.

I am so impressed with this company. It is so easy to arrange it really was a god send for us. My daughter attends SfSu and we live in Los Angeles area so having this service was so great. They have excellent customer service and quick response team. I highly recommend this company!!!!

I used them around this time last year, 2014. And I would use them again. Signed up on May 30 with a promotion. I was gone for the months of June, July, August. I got billed $12 July 17, $12 August 17, and $19 on September 3 ($15pickup fee + $2 per box). So I think the promotion was 1 month free with a minimum 3 months or something. It was cheaper then, but there were issues. I think it was hard to schedule pickups or a pickup was missed or something, but I was pretty flexible back then, and the company was just starting. Prices have increased since last year, so I would think that they have refined their process. Nice people!

I'm horrible at planning in advance, and realized I needed to store a bunch of my stuff for a month before moving into a new apartment. Boxbee was a life saver and made things so much easier for me - dropped off boxes for storage that week, picked them up two days later, and I was done. Both of the people I worked with directly were extremely nice, helpful and timely. I realized yesterday afternoon that I needed to get some of my documents I'd stored, so I scheduled for all of my stuff to be delivered to my new apartment this morning. No problems at all, and the guy even helped me carry boxes up three sets of stairs to my apartment. I'd recommend Boxbee to anyone.
