My family has been coming to Boulevard Pet Hospital for years. I am glad to see a lot of the same staff still here and still so compassionate for pet care. I even was out of state and even though my vet was great, they did not compare to Boulevard Pet Hospital. Not many businesses are still running like this. If I could give more than 5 stars for their service I would.

I can't say I've been a frequent client of this hospital or any vet as I've never had a need for pet services in my life. However I recently became a pet parent because of a tragic event that shook me to the core and Boulevard Pet Hospital responded in such a way that I felt compelled to leave a review. My Pomeranian was a dog that was heartlessly thrown out of a moving car in front of my driveway on Halloween Day this year. I looked at the driver who nonchalantly threw my (future) dog onto the ground like a piece of trash. He didn't show any remorse or emotions. He just looked at me and made an illegal left turn out of my neighborhood. It was a hauntingly horrific moment that stuck with me for days as he not only threw out 1 but 2 dogs. The larger dog ran after the car and disappeared from view. The tiny Pomeranian also ran after the car but was too small and slow to make any progress. I managed to snatch her before she could have been run over by a car or starved to death eventually in my neighborhood. With the help of neighbors I quickly raced the dog to the nearest shelter. I had no idea what to do but I could see visually this dog wasn't well cared for and needed love, needed someone like me to be her champion. Upon finding out 10 days later that her owner had relinquished rights to her and finding she had urgent medical issues that needed to be addressed I contacted BPH and implored Loree Schwartz at Boulevard Pet Hospital to give special consideration due to the circumstances and my own lack of available funds. There's no question I'd do anything for this dog considering the haunting image of her being thrown out of a car in front of my eyes but there's no way I could come up with several thousand dollars in a snap. Loree, enlisted the assistance of the San Jose Shelter for GAP assistance, her NorCal Animal Rescue Foundation, Dr. Rusher at BPH, and Natasha at the front desk; to help facilitate emergency care and we'll deal with the money later. To my astonishment, Loree was able to set up emergency surgery, the majority of the expenses were taken care of by her foundation, and I'd pay what I could. While I don't ask for handouts, this was beyond my most optimistic expectations. The incredible way Loree and company met the moment and helped me and my dog is something that will stay with me forever and I want the world to know she and company cares and this is the type of place where anyone could feel safe and comfortable taking their pet. The level of care, the ease at which every aspect of the surgery, service, and follow-up was handled left me a fan for life. I don't think there has been a moment in my life where I was at the mercy of something so vast on a financial and emotional level and had someone helped me the way Loree has. I can say with conviction that while the money motive runs high and deep with many vets in general, that isn't high priority here. I think what goes on here is a group of people that really care about what they do, how it impacts the richest and poorest of pet owners and they believe in delivering care without hesitation or discrimination. And that to me is something worth talking about every time someone asks me why I named my dog Lovely. It's because at every turn where things seemed bleakest and impossible, I had people around me like Loree, Natasha, Dr. Rusher, and BHP show me their love of the craft, care, and humanity. That's why from here to forever, I will never forget the miracle that is Lovely was made possible by Boulevard Pet Hospital and Loree Schwartz. Feel secure and confident that your pet will be handled with love and care here. I did.

Came here on a Saturday for low-cost vaccinations for my dogs. It was a drive-thru operation where we stayed in our cars until it was our turn. We took the dogs out to the sidewalk when it was our turn. The whole process took less than 10mins.

Unprofessional and heartless of how they handles the passing of a patient. I brought my 6 months old British Shorthair kitten here to get neutered. Later in the day, I got a call saying that the procedure went fine, he has recovered and he should be ready to be picked up in about an hour. Right when we were about to head out, we got another call with the vet, Dr.Rusher on the line saying that all of a sudden they found him unable to breathe and without a heartbeat and declared him dead. The vet they claimed that after the surgery when the anesthesia wore off he was up and seemed fine and they put him in his carrier for recovery. They said they "checked periodically," but that apparently meant that they would just walk past him and have a glance at him. Within that hour, they found him already dead in the carrier. Dr.Rusher, also the one the rushed us to deal with Yogurt's remains. She also said "What do you want me to do about it, I can't bring your cat back" minutes after she deliver us the news that Yogurt was dead. And saying that they won't "charge me" for the procedure!?!? Loree, the owner, talked to us after, since she wasn't there, she said she will speak to her staff and get back to me with answers. She's also won't meet in person as she feels that it will not change anything. After several days, I tried contacting Loree but she never answers any of my texts or phone calls. Please do not support their business, they shows absolutely no compassion or remorse when my cat died on their watch and did not provide me an explanation, everyone that I spoke with here have been horrible.

I highly do not recommend this place. The staff, veterinarian included, disregarded my pet's need and did not show any care and attention to my situation. A colleague of mine had their pet taken here as well and the pet unfortunately died without any explanation. If you care and love your pets, do not take them here.

This place has terrible terrible service! I was asking for a consultation and they were urging me to schedule an appointment with them without respecting my decision. I will not be doing any service with them.

I brought my kitten in to get neutered only to learn that they found him dead while recovering from the procedure. The vet lacked sympathy and only wanted to know what I wanted to do with the remains after telling me. When I asked for an explanation they just tried to say it's a rare occurrence and move on. When I asked about the possibility if an autopsy they immediately responded that it may not even give conclusive results and did not want to aid at all. They want to guess why my kitten died but they aren't at all interested finding the reason themselves, probably because no profit can be gained for them. Go at your own risk.
