Took over 45 mins just to make a withdrawal with a teller and there were about 20 people in line behind me. Need to get another teller and at least be a little more friendly when you finally get to the window for customer service

This has been my go-to branch for 10+ years. It was close to my house until a few years ago and I still kept coming here out of habit even when I moved to a different city.Today I stopped by to request a letter to be signed by the bank so I could receive funds from overseas (stolen jewelry in a French hotel, was finally being reimbursed by the hotel insurance), I waited in the usual queue and explained the situation to a teller and they advised me to wait in the lobby. I asked the teller if they were going to notify someone to tend to me and they mentioned someone was going to notice me. I guess ok so far.I sat down and someone from one of the rooms walked out to see what I needed, I again explained the situation and the person asked for the letter. I told them I have an email version and can email the form to the associate for them to fill and sign. They said no they couldn't print it for me, I was a bit surprised and taken back, as this was a one-pager and my request wasn't outrageous. I asked one more time emphasizing that it was only one page and I was told no again. And I left.I am leaving a neutral review since the same afternoon in a different branch (Castro Street in San Francisco), the branch manager printed and signed my form with no issue, and wanted to help me as much as possible. Hoping this branch adopts a better customer service as well.

Wow. I read all these bad reviews and I wonder if it's that bad why these people continue to do business there, I go there only occasionally. It is not my primary bank yet im always treated very well there by everyone. Have visited this bank probably 50 times over the years and interacted with numerous employees and never an issue at all, they hv all been helpful, pleasent and efficent.

Customer service not their strong point and even if you bank with BOA they will not cash other bank checks

I got a new Atm card and went to this place. Then I was told to go back home and calling main BOA number. Then the phone service directed me back to a local office. Back and forth just to change a PIN. Then long waiting time in the office to see a banker.

Worst ever bankers, not human. No call back ever. No space without appointment. I have been asking for an appointment since last 3 months. 5 voicemail - 0 returned. 3 emails, 0 response. And yes, they won't even recognize you if you worked with them yesterday.Too arrogant to work with. Try your luck here or invest your time in other branches.

Quick access to atms, staff inside to help set up accounts etc, no longer have available lock boxes and usually a short line inside that's significantly longer near closing. 4 atms outside so you don't necessarily have to enter to withdraw / deposit. Also has a security guard outside always for safety. Conveniently has atm only parking next to the disabled parking right in front.

There is a reason that this bank's overall rating is only two stars. For the last twelve years my wife and I have filed joint tax returns, with the refund coming to my bank account since I do all the household bookkeeping. So this year when I deposited the refund check at the ATM, this branch rejected it. The check had both my wife and my signatures. We both have accounts at the bank. But instead of checking both signatures on file against the check, or even calling my wife to verify she signed, they just rejected the check altogether. The "manager" indicated the bank had changed their rules and that no, they wouldn't bother checking my wife's signature, and no, they wouldn't bother calling her to verify. I had to drive home, pick up my wife, drag her into the bank and present her in front of the manager before they would accept the check for deposit. The fact that my wife and I have been customers of this bank for 20+ years made no difference to this non- thinking manager. I will be closing my accounts at this bank shortlyAddendum on 9/2/22: The manager told us yesterday (with the teller standing there) that the funds would be available today (9/2/22) since it was a government issued check (State of California tax refund). Imagine our surprise when this morning we get an email from the bank saying that “A hold was placed on your check because check specific information indicates item may be returned.” They further state that the check won’t clear until 9/13/22. So is the California State Government going bankrupt? They don’t indicate what “specific information” on the check is a problem. I am now in the process of moving my accounts to U.S. Bank, thanks to the incompetent and totally non-customer focused manager at this B of A branch.Addendum on 9/15/22: The bank finally cleared my California State Income Tax Refund check. So it took them from August 29 to September 15 to deposit an official government check. Again no explanation of what “specific information indicates item may be returned”. It is clear to me that the j*** of a manager at this branch just didn’t like me and decided to put a hold on this check with no rationale whatsoever, despite stating to my face in front of my wife and in front of other tellers that the check would clear on September 2nd. I have now completed opening accounts at US Bank across the street and will be moving ALL my banking business to them.

Same story as all Bank of America's, they turn into absolute non-help centers. If you don't have an account with them, they won't cash your check for any reason. That's ridiculous on a whole other level. But they will cash your check if you have an account with them. So this is a way of strong arming customers into opening an account that they don't need or they don't want. complete waist of time and really makes the whole bank feel more like the racket that they are... keep it up BOA, maybe you can run all of your customers and potential customers away eventually.Negative-100 stars...

I have always had terrible experiences with BofA tellers. The tellers are often condescending and treat me like I don't know what I'm talking about. I don't feel comfortable asking "**** questions" as a young person who recently got a decent paying job and is new to banking with large amounts of money. The only reason I haven't left BofA is just because I haven't found a bank I like yet. However, today I got help from Alejandra, who didn't patronize me at all and answered all my questions without making me feel like I shouldn't have asked. Alejandra, even though it didn't look like much, you really changed my opinion of BofA!
