Happy New Year Giap Thin 2024, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Brothers and Sisters! ?? ??❤️ If you need special ao dai, from traditional to modern, or cheongsam, you should visit Bao Han Ao Dai shop. The products at this shop are very high-end, and I designed many types of ao dai that I couldn't buy or find elsewhere. The ao dai I'm wearing in the picture is covered in silk and the image of Uncle Michael is painted on the ao dai. Truly one of a kind, when I went to church, everyone complimented me on how beautiful my ao dai was, and when I went to the party, many friends and family complimented me. At this shop, you can make ao dai or have your dress repaired if you gain or lose weight. You should visit and support Bao Han Ao Dai shop. When I entered the store, I felt very fascinated and felt like I was in a love station because there were many choices and the store had very beautiful products! I have never seen a large and beautiful store in the state of Cali, and I am the type of person who loves ao dai and often shops for ao dai in Southern California. Thank you very much, Uncle and Sister! ??????

Thank you to Michael and his team for making my beautiful traditional Vietnamese dress. Michael's seamstress custom-made my pants on the fly! She was a trooper during an ever busy Lunar New Year season. My tea ceremony and engagement party was a great event. I felt like a true Vietnamese bride. Since I'm a larger Asian woman, I never thought an ao dai would fit me like this. So I'm glad this became a reality for me!

Michael has quite a collection in his store of all sorts of colors and styles. I picked a nice pink áo dài for Tết that wasn't in my size, but he and his staff assured me that they could tailor it to my measurements well before Tết -- and they did! Everyone was so nice to make sure I had the best possible experience the whole time. Highly recommend!

I had some hospital scrub pants that needed to be shortened and called around to several stores for pricing. Even with the upcharge to get them done overnight, they were still cheaper than all of the other places I called. They did a great job and the owner, Michael, is super friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking in the front. Thank you!

Michael, Kim, and Pat went above and beyond for my traditional gowns (ao dai) and making me feel comfortable as if it was family! They were honest, quick with turnover, and the craftsmanship was exquisite! This will be the only ao dai shop that I go to!

I've been going back and forth on writing a review due to some of the responses I've seen on these lower star reviews (wish I read these sooner!!!) They claimed to care about what customers think, so I'm going to give my honest review. I came for a quote for my wedding dress. I thought this would be a good option since they make dresses and they have a high rating on Yelp - what could go wrong? The appointment started off okay, aside from the tiny fitting room and stained carpet. I highly recommend removing the bench in the fitting rooms because you're having women try on large dresses and they need space. It would be great if you would consider keeping your carpets clean, especially in the fitting rooms where your customers are barefoot. I needed to have the sides taken in, the length shortened, and add a bustle. The quote he gave me for the length and top of my dress was reasonable and we could do the bustle later. I asked how much the bustle would be and he said "not very much", so I said OK. In retrospect, I should have asked for the dollar amount, and that's my fault. I was okay with the current quote so I of course assumed it would be affordable. He asked me if I would like to proceed and I said yes. Mistake #1. I should have made sure they touched 100% of their bases for a complete quote. Their job - not mine! Top: She pointed out my armpit fat excessively. My insecurities are mine, and it's not fun having people consistently talk about them. I told her my body is what it is and I just want the sides taken in so I look more snatched. She brought my armpit fat up three times and I told her it's fine each time. Hem: I guess my dress is weird due to how it was sewn? I didn't understand but the original quote was to trim down the front of my dress and taper it to the back. Upon inspection, she said the original idea would not work. The annoying thing is we would then have to trim up the entire hem, which nearly doubled the original quote he gave me, after I had agreed to proceed and pin everything up. I said okay then let's have the whole thing since we had already started. Train: I considered removing the train from my dress. Was an option to have it removed and avoid the bustle. I asked for his opinion, but he said that my wedding dress would look like a prom dress without the train. I find that very insulting because my dress is literally a wedding dress and there was nothing prom about it. No bride to be wants to be told her wedding gown looks like a prom dress. "Losing the drama" will suffice. While we were finishing up, his employees 1-2yr old child came out and started playing with all the safety pins and knocked everything over, about 2 ft away from my wedding gown. At this point I was extremely anxious. It's unprofessional to bring your child to work and have them running around while you're with customers. I didn't say anything at the time because I was trusting them to not ruin my dress. Michael gave me a whole speech about her home situation (childcare is expensive etc), but there is a tiny child running towards my dress with safety pins they can just grab. So unprofessional! Straps: I considered adding off-shoulder straps and realized my mobility would be restricted if I added them. I changed my mind and said I no longer wanted them. The lady yelled over to Michael and said "she no longer wants straps!" If I'm changing my mind, why do you need to involve others? It's my dress- not yours! The odd part is that every time the lady pinned something, she would make a comment over to Michael, like she was asking for approval. If she is the expert seamstress, why does she need to get approval as she goes? It made me feel like she didn't know what she was doing. My quote became nearly double, not including the bustle. Each strap was also $90. It would be excess fabric from my dress, sewn neatly and made detachable. Very overpriced compared to others! OH - and they expected me to pay upfront and leave my weddin

I have been going here to get ao dai for couple years and every time was such a pleasure. So we decided to get our ao dai here for our wedding. Michael was so friendly, always accommodating to our needs and very flexible with our short turn around time. Not only that, the ao dai quality is top notch! Highly recommended!

Michael and his staff are simply the best people to work with to find your fit. There are so many available designs AND you can fully customize if you'd like. The options are endless and almost overwhelming. Being a queer couple wanting to wear traditionally-gendered outfits, we never felt unwelcomed or judged at Ao Dai Bao Han. Michael is so gracious and he delivers 5-star customer service that is fitting for a bespoke experience.

Went to Ao Dai Bao Han to find a rental for my wedding, and Michael and his team were there for me from day 1. I made an appointment and they immediately made me feel welcome when I arrived. It was so much fun to try on different dresses (their shop has a huge variety!), and felt great to find one that felt just right. The rates were reasonable and affordable, so much so that I ended up also ordering a custom ao dai. The ao dai I ordered was made to my measurements and fit perfectly. What really impressed me was how responsive and cared for Michael and his team were. They gave me great advice, worked with me when I had to adjust my rental dates, and even let me switch my dress closer to my wedding date because my weight had changed and the original dress didn't fit as well anymore.Actually, they insisted on it - One of Michael's staff noticed that the dress was looser than when I had originally tried it on a few months back, and encouraged me to try another one. She was able to recommend a better fit just by looking at me (seriously, she took one glance at me and pulled exactly the right size off the rack), and I'm so grateful that she did. I wouldn't have considered the option otherwise, and I could see and feel the difference once I put it on.TL;DR Michael and his team are truly invested in making sure their clients have a wonderful experience. If you're in the process of looking for an ao dai (or even a western-style wedding dress), check this place out.

I have searched for someone whom can provide tailoring services for various garments, over the past several years, in my local area. However, I often encounter frustration in being met with poor attitudes, in trying to set up appointments, and overall extremely poor workmanship. Every single interaction with the staff at Ao Dai Bao Han was filled with kindness, knowledge and accomodation. I drove over an hour and an half to have my daughter's choir dress hemmed, and the workmanship provided was perfection! We could not be more pleased :) Ao Dai Bao Han will now forever be our go-to place! My appreciation and gratutude are great, for every moment I have been blessed by such wonderful people!
