The worst service I've ever seen!The counter gave my friend's room card to a stranger. Then the stranger used that room car opened my friend's room!They said that the man said he forgot his key. DON'T YOU GUYS CHECK THE CUSTOMER'S NAME???It's so ridiculous!!!I would NEVER visit this hotel!!!!!Why do we need a room card? The hotel invaded privacy so severe !!!!!Be sure not to book this hotel.

Extremely friendly staff and so helpful.I had my service dogs with me and manager reached out to warn me no pet policy ?As soon as I informed him that our dogs are friendly and serviced, he understood and kindly ask me to please come down to office so that we can go over pet document and sign. Once I came down I was warmly welcome and process was quick and easy. ?Signed documents and my family and serviced animals welcomed!Thank you for such a great stay and outstanding service. Will stay again and let others know what a great experience we had.Rooms: Large with kitchen ( in some)Stand up showerBeautiful wood floors and comfortable beds. OMG !!!! Tv channels were amazing ! Large movie selection!Nearby activities: Great food place and close to grocery stores and right next to 2 market freeways access points! Convenient to get around quickyFood & drinks: Amazing restaurant attached!

Yikes. You are better off sleeping in your car. Bed springs popping out. It's so ghetto here and I used to live on Story and King. This place is very deceiving. Check for bedbugs before you pack up your bags and take them home. Price was not $70 like Art, the previous reviewer, had said. I paid well over $130. Good thing I had alcohol to drink myself through the noise around us.

This place definitely needs repairs and maintenance, there is no coffee maker, smell of a cigarette in the room, 2 towels for 3 people, beds: one the box squeaked and the other is uneven, although the building looks good on the outside the rooms are only painted but the maintenance and cleanliness is poor, What bothered me the most about everything is the people who were smoking on the stairs, definitely not a good atmosphere to come with your family.Rooms: Owner/company Need to invest in repairs and maintenance

Where do I start? Pictures can be deceiving. I know the price was on the lower end, but a little disappointed. There was no coffee pot in the room. I called the from desk multiple times with no answer. Tried again an hour later multiple times and finally spoke with someone. Lady said they do not have anymore coffee makers. What? How do you not have a coffee maker for every room? Tried to get ice with no luck. Front desk said ice maker is currently broken. I wouldn't bring kids here. Lots of shady characters up to go good at all hours of the night. Noise increased the later it got. The only good thing about this place is the price and the Mexican restaurant.Safety: No Bueno.

This Inn is exactly what you should expect for this price point. Be glad places like this still exist. For $67/night it's a good bargin. The room was cleaner than I expected from reading the reviews. There is no carpet, so that's a good thing because of smells, stains, and bugs. Carpet is a bad thing in most Inns, Motels, & Hotels. The staff are friendly, check-in/check-out is quick. The heat and A/C unit in my room worked ok. The equipment is very dated. The furniture is thrift store quality. The only two gripes I had with it was its very noisy. Walls are paper thin. Also, you're right next to a major road. Hard to sleep if you're a light sleeper. The other gripe I had was the water pressure. The shower pressure is so weak. So light. It does have an adjustable head, but that doesn't help anything. Would I stay here again? Probably not. But it's good for the price point.

This was a very disappointed stay. The pictures and reviews are very misleading, if you are a family, please go elsewhere. It was a shame as the staff at night was very sweet and friendly. The area did not feel safe, as drunk and crazy people were booked in other rooms. The rooms were for the most part clean, until you saw the spiderwebs in various areas. The furnishings and room were worn and old. Please safe yourself time and money and go elsewhere.

Thankful i found this lil place that's for sure i will be coming back. Clean, nice beds and bedding, tv great, bathroom has a bath mat you can use for the tub and a lil bath rug for the floor, clouded window in the bathroom is always great too. Shower was fine hot water ran for a long time. Over all, im happy i came here with my two little ones. Thanks staff @ Alura Inn

Hard bed with flat pillows. Things like the toilet seat and paint coming off the shower made it feel worn. Had to go to marshalls to buy a couple pillows to make it work.

My first room was a big disappointment. It smelled of stale cigarettes, the shower didn't work and it was shabby. My room was switched to a second room the following night, that was cleaner, smelled better and the shower worked! It was still outdated, but more comfortable. The hotel is not in a safe part of San Jose. If I had been more familiar with the area, I definitely would not have made the online reservation.

I asked the Alura Inn of San Jose, CA for a first floor room if there wasn't an elevator. I did this when booking on the Hotels.com website since stairs are very difficult for me due to my knees. I'm a disabled veteran with Disabled Vet License Plates. I wasn't accommodated. The Hotels.com website advertised that there was a safe in the room and there wasn't one. I called several times when I was 30 minutes out since I had to pick my daughter up from work at 10:00 pm. It should be noted that nobody answered the phone!After which time I started to drive from the Sacramento area. I did call at 9:30 pm and talked to the guy from the prior shift who didn't pass on my message or even send an email to the next shift.I was told I would have to take a second floor room since they only have one room left and move to a bottom floor room after check-out.This is the worst experience I have ever had with any hotel in my life. I will be placing a negative review with Yelp and Hotels.com
