The car was in excellent condition and performed perfectly throughout our trip. Pickup and drop off were super easy. I'd highly recommend them and will return for my rental car needs while in San Jose!

Never rented at San Jose airport. It was very easy and convenient. The staff I worked with were very friendly and helpful. Anthony helped me select the car and did a check of the vehicle, helped me with pictures and showed me everything. Haidee made my return so fast and easy and directed me where I needed to go. I would def rent through Alamo at the airport again.

Very inefficient / customer unfriendly return process (definitely unethical, at least borderline if not actually illegal): Charging me for an extra day of rental + fines/fees, despite me dropping off the car on time+no one to process returns at that time+the only available employee ensuring me that I was fine as far as timely returning was concerned. They eventually refunded the extra they charged, but not until I got on the call and spoke with them for ~30 min.Full experience in detail. I returned my rental car on time (Well before the return window ended) - There was just one employee at the center (San Jose Airport, rental car center) and they said : "Leave the keys in the car, and you will receive a recepit tomorrow AM". I specifically asked them - "what about recording the checkin time/return time?" , they were like "Don't worry about it, you are fine" ... I was skeptical, but thought I could trust them. And the next morning, realizing my worst fears, I saw that I was charged a ton of money for "extra day" + fines, etc. because they recoded the checkin time as 5 AM following the day the rental ended!I don't normally check rental car receipts trusting the business to do the right thing!I called the listed number for Alamo and vented my frustration - their immediate response, "Sorry for the inconvenience, but I cannot help you if you dont calm down"... Nice fig leaf they have to cover up their issue, by blaming the victim! They finally ended up reversing the charges, but I expect at least 20-30% of overcharged customers dont bother to check the receipts - Good revenue & profit growth strategy, Alamo!

My curbside check in was amazing. The car was ready as soon as I got there. What a great experience. Drop off was just as great. The people were so helpful. I would recommend Alamo to all my family and friends

We tend to use Alamo Rent-A-Car when we visit San Jose. Our last visit, which took place on January 30, 2024 was rather interesting. As usual, we utilize pre-check in so that we don’t have to stand in line at the counter. We went to collect our vehicle and noted an exceptionally long line. There was only one person (Shelly), assisting customers. There was a woman in line, who was clearly unhappy about the wait time, and verbalized her displeasure to Shelly. Shelley maintained her decorum and continued to work efficiently connecting customers with their vehicles. Thank you Shelley, and thank you Avis for hiring stellar employees.

We were in a rush to catch our flight but we wanted to share our comments on how the interior car temperature was not working properly. Kelvin checked us in and out quickly. Also, Kelvin said he would place a note to fix it for the next customer. We had great service from Kelvin at Alamo Rent-A-Car at SJC airport.

I recently rented a car from Alamo Rent A Car at San Jose, California Airport, and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the process of renting the car was quick and easy. I was also able to get a great deal on the rental through Costco car rental site.The staff was friendly and helpful. Especially Arturo and Bryce Shishido. They made my renting process was quick and easy on Christmas day. I was able to pick up my car in just a few minutes.I had a great experience with Alamo Rent A Car. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Great experience! Make sure to fill in information online to obtain a “skip the counter” ticket, so that you can directly go upstairs to select a car. The car we rented is clean and in great condition.

Overall I was very pleased with their service. I would only mention two areas that disappointed. First, when we arrived at the rental counter at our appointed time, there was no one there. We discovered 15 minutes later that the lone worker at the National counter was also serving Alamo (partners?). Second, the first car we started out in had a brake problem before we left the building. The attendant was very helpful and immediately allowed us to switch cars. Other than these two things, we had a great experience. Definitely will use them again!

Rental process is easy, but they need a new system to track vehicle condition upon rental/return. Car only had 2/3 tank when I got it and they marked it as full and even after I called the next day to let them know they still charged for extra gas. Had to spend 30 mins on phone to fix the issue. Rating would be 5 stars if not for this issue because the car was in great condition and the rest of the process was easy.
