We have been shopping at Norman's Nursery for over 40 years. It is true, no one is doing cartwheels when we come in. However, I am not there shopping for a friendship circle. We are looking for quality plant and tree products to share with our quality clients. The staff does what they are paid to do; which is provide accurate information on plant height and size, foliar and bloom condition and availability. The Norman Nursery plants are always in prime condition and well developed for the container they are in. Every plant purchase definitely provides a definite pop of eye candy for every one of our jobs. Our sales rep, Jorge is completely attentive to our needs. He knows where all the various plants and individual species we want are located and gets them to the San Gabriel yard on time for our pick up crew. Jorge follows up with return calls, emails and the final details to make each of our plant procurement jobs more seamless. Out in the field, Simon is extremely knowledgeable and also helpful with first hand knowledge of the condition of the plants, when they were last pruned and fertilized. Five Stars all around from this old landscaper !!! As an aside and a response to all the negative commentaries, I find that my own attitude shapes how I am treated when I shop at Norman's or anywhere for that matter. Some of them sound as though they are not clients nor did they have an actual experience beyond not being allowed to shop there without a contractor license. Rules are rules.

If I could also give 0 stars I would, they don't take their workers seriously , a person by the name of "Doña Mari" since she started she was making ugly changes to the company! Do Not Buy From Here!!

If I can leave 0 stars for this I would ! DO NOT buy or support this company! My dad worked there for more than 40 years and treated him along with other employees terrible! Leaving them jobless now they do not care for there employees at all!

This nursery is the real deal: I had a struggling tiny cypress compacta and as it was the second one as the first one browned and diedThese are beautiful trees and when they are strong and healthy, they look like dark green rocket ships.This one was taking a turn for the worst so I went to Norman's nursery, the biggest and best wholesaler in LA.They do not deal with private parties but though a personal connection, Maria the wonderful HR manager connected me with their arborist Antonio Mata who just by looking at the px diagnosed soil fungus which now makes a lot of sense as it killed the first 8 footer.He suggested to come on his free time and spray the fungicide .Talk about customer service and all this with a smile.Norman's not only has the largest selection of everything trees so you landscape company should use them for all their needs but their customer service is beyond reproach!!!Big thank you Peter, the CEO , Maria and Antonio!!

Wow wow wow. This place is a hidden gem. So many varieties of orchids here. Large nursery with lots of orchids to choose from. It's not very easy to find as the signage is a bit small and you could easily miss it. But once you drive into the lot, there's plenty of unpaved parking. This is not a place for you if you're looking for displays like a flower shop. This place is a nursery where you will find varieties that you can take home and grow yourself.

Horrible !!! Don't bother calling as a contractor they keep putting you on hold and tell to please wait . I finally got a hold of someone and they were very rude and did not want to talk on the phone . Not c-27 contractor friendly !! Go someone else .

Over the years Norman's Nursery, the owner being Charles, has graciously donated towards a couple of school projects for my teaching. This quality of being generous has not gone unnoticed. His willingness to share and give to others shows a great sign of character. His unselfish ways, and attitude, and the quality of his products (trees, flowers, shrubs) is the best around.

My husband and I purchased four very tall and expensive cypress trees from Norman Nursery in December of 2016, about 4 months ago.As soon as they delivered the trees to our house, we told them they looked sick and not healthy and asked that they return them.The ownership convinced us that because they had just been delivered they were in shock and they will be better in a few weeks.They got worse day by day and I kept calling them so at last they sent their representative to our house to inspect the trees. A gentleman named, Antonio Matta.As soon as he saw the trees he admitted that they were in a bad shape and that they must be replaced. After discussing our options, he agreed to exchange them for 4 new, healthy trees. it has been 6 weeks since we had our meeting and it is obvious they don't want to do anything about it. They are now saying that the trees didn't get enough water !!! This is after all the rain we have had in the past few months.This nursery is not trust worthy, and everyone there is extremely deceptive. You don't ever want to through your money in the garbage by buying anything, including trees from these people.Now, not only I have to pay someone to remove and discard these very large trees, I have to buy new trees, and again, pull the required permits from the city for crane and delivery.Everyone we have talked to at Norman Nursery has lied to us, the quality of the trees they sell are the absolutely the worse and they have never stood behind what they sell.
