This shop is the definition of a mom and pop shop and is everything you would expect from a local hair salon in the 626. Laura is the owner and speaks Vietnamese and Cantonese fluently. She speaks enough Mandarin and English to do a great job also. She’s been in business for over 40 years and is humble, sweet and insanely hardworking. Her prices are well below average and she consistently does a great job. Is the shop loud and filled with conversation in an Asian language? Yes, of course, you’re in the 626. Will she have to stop in the middle of your haircut to tend to or greet another customer? Yes, of course, she runs this place by herself. But you’re paying $15 for a haircut so should you be complaining? Probably not. I love this place and recommend it to everyone!

I have been going here for more than 7 years and every single time has been the best experience ever. The ladies here are efficient, talented, and very understanding about what their client requests. They always leave me satisfied and feeling very confident. I went in today and they are covid friendly!! There are borders between every station and masks are required. I came in hoping to fix my choppy at-home hair cut that I did at 2AM and the hair dresser fixed it with no problem!!

I've been coming here for the last 12 years and patiently waiting for it to get out of coronavirus lock down. Hopefully any day now. I don't want to go anywhere else. Quick and clean $7 haircut for men and I tip $3 to make it a clean $10 bill. Don't be clucking tightwads tipping $2 or troi oi...$1! You know who you are.

A budget friendly haircut exactly the way they think it should be cut. Not that the way they cut hair isn't good or correct, its just that what you may tell them may not necessarily line up with what you get. For example you may say "not too short means" - meaning don't cut my hair too short, but they may think - cutting your hair very short looks better than leaving it as you requested - not too short. Disclaimer: This is my opinion and past results are no guarantee of future haircuts.

I live in Chicago. My family always love to go there to get a haircut. Even my family back home go there. The owner is very friendly, caring. She put a smile on every one face. I always enjoy her company.ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

I've been coming here for many years just for May, the funny lady thats usually on the right side stations at this place. However she moved recently to js salon up the street at 925 San gabriel bl. She's independent now so make sure you get her contact info if you get the chance to visit her.

I went there looking for May to cut my hair and the lady said she is on vacation so another lady cut my hair. I was not happy with my haircut as May had been cutting my hair for many years from when she was working in LA Chinatown. I went back four weeks later and again the lady told me that May is on vacation. So I decided to call May and see if she is really on vacation. It turns out that May is now working at JS Salon located at 925 S. San Gabriel, San Gabriel.

Arrived there as the first guest in the morning followed by another lady. Surprisingly the owner skipped me and treated the lady first only because they knew each other. That's embarrassing.
