In 2006, l purchased a portable Honda generator from this company. Over time the unit, began exhibiting hard-starting issues as a result of poor upkeep maintenance on my part. It finally stopped operating about (4) years ago.Last week, after years of just sitting in my hangar, l was going to discard the unit. Prior to discard, last week, l decided to give Garvey Equipment a call to determine if it was possible to salvage my unit. Garvey staff, George, advised that after listening to my situation, that in his opinion my old generator could be repaired.As such, l took the generator to Garvey, and in two days, George called and reported my unit was serviced and ready for pickup.I found both George and John (owner) quite cordial & professional.Their professional services & courtesy saved me the price of buying a new unit.

I’ve purchased everything from chippers to chainsaws to filters and parts, from Garvey Equipment. They are friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. Their customer support is great and their service department too.

I read the other reviews and thought people were being dramatic but no the owner Jon is very rude. Don't accidentally call a piece of equipment by the wrong name or number he'll treat you like you're stupid. I guess all their business is commercial so they just hate putting any effort into helping a customer. I waited all day for a callback that never came and now have to Scramble to get my equipment in time

John the owner is an absolute a-hole. I came here to purchase a pressure washer, but left empty handed because the unit they were selling was broken. When they tried to demo it to me their hose broke and sprayed water all over the unit and also sprayed my son and I. They fixed the hose and then tried to get the unit started, but it wouldn't create any pressure. While 3 employees tried to determine the issue John asked me to write my name down so he could put me in the system. I wrote my name down and he came back a few minutes later saying "your penmanship leaves something to be desired". Who says that to their customer? Why be an arrogant, insulting p***** Luckily I found the same unit elsewhere for $200 less, and with much better customer service! I recommend all customers go elsewhere!!! Run far away from Garvey!!!
