What a lovely little store! They have beautiful fabric dresses, textiles and wares from Kenya. The dresses are impeccably made and very reasonable price for fabric and quality! They support communities there and are ethical and sustainable. A gem on Fillmore.

I’ve been wanting to try a Zuri dress for a while but wasn’t sure about the fit. So, on a business trip to San Francisco, I stopped in to try on. I don’t know if that was a mistake or not, because I’ve found my new obsession! lol. Beautiful, ethical, and comfortable dresses.

I live in Zuri dresses now! The patterns are beautiful, the colors so vivid. I've machine washed some of the oldest dresses over 60+ times and the colors are still bright, like new. Be prepared to get stopped all the time ...I get asked about my dresses at least 3-5 times a day.

It’s hard to pick something to buy here, because each print is better than the last. Plus, the ladies who work here are the best, thanks for the great conversation!

What a wonderful little dress store! Inja was very friendly and welcoming. The fabrics are printed and woven cottons with patterns that are colorful, fun, quiet or bold - all unique. The dresses are an excellent design: elegant, comfortable, and modest.

I move slowly due to a chronic condition. Inja was so very helpful & patient with me. Excited to return when again in The City.

I'm bummed that I must have walked right past their store last time I was in SF, but my wardrobe is so thankful that I found them online! I currently own six amazing Zuri dresses, each one the most gorgeous, unique fabric and the construction is top quality. Every interaction with Ashleigh online is wonderful, even when returning a dress that I didn't end up loving. I love their story and the fact that these gorgeous dresses are made in such a loving, sustainable way. If you sign up for their e-mails they include book and music suggestions along with their latest amazing creations. Besides the fact that I get tons of compliments whenever I wear one of my Zuri dresses out. I'm sure dress #7 isn't far off!

Instant love. It was social media that finally compelled me to enter this shop after seeing beautiful ads pop up on my Facebook and Instagram feeds. Met Inja who was very welcoming and set me immediately at ease. I shopped fairly quickly as I dropped by within an hour of closing. Received a postcard about the business and a tote bag composed of scraps of fabric that the clothing are made from. The bright colors and fun prints make me happy and the cut of the shirts and dress are truly universally flattering. If you love A-line silhouettes ladies, Zuri is your place! Also, this is the first time I didn't have to worry about any measurements apart from my shoulders. I usually wear a size 6/8 up top and a 10/12 in pants but at Zuri I'm a XS in the dress and S in the shirt. Does a lot for my vanity! I purchased two dresses on my first visit. I love that I can wear them closed or belted or even open like a jacket. I've seen them worn like a skirt too but I haven't tried that yet. Enjoyed my experience so much I returned the next day and purchased two more pieces. This time was assisted by Kadia who was just as lovely. I learned that shopping in store vs online has its perks - apart from the pleasant customer service, they carry some exclusive prints no longer available online as well as accessories (baskets, bangles, bracelets, and shawls). I plan on getting a lot of mileage out of my Zuri tops! I already know that I'll be back when more prints are released. I love this new addition to the neighborhood where I can shop local, as well as supporting a business that gives back to its makers and community/economy in Kenya.
