Customer service has been great lately. Employees aren't profiling as much which is nice. Inventory is great as well. Very good homewares section up top. Store needs more security since San Francisco is a mess.

Went here to check on the Hearts of San Francisco 2023 as they were being displayed at Neiman Marcus. I never been to a Neiman Marcus & it blows my mind how luxurious this store is inside. The store has various high end store & a wonderful area to take stunning photos of the SF area. Each high end fashion company has their own designated cubical area, which I found helpful especially if you are into a certain brand. The brand name is displayed on the wall of their designated space. The building has over 7 floors & a list that states what each floor is known for near the escalator & elevator(women clothing, men clothing, jewelry, etc).

Wow was I impressed! Yes, their suits are not the cheapest. I was very hesitant to buy one here. However, considering the cost of my time and alterations gone bad many times at Nordstrom's. I actually think this place is a good value. Alterations were totally perfect on the first time. The tailor didn't destroy my suit as they did at Nordstrom's. The suit fabric is also much nicer and will probably last me a decade or two. If you're looking at upfront cost, this is not the place for you, but if you're looking for all in cost of ownership, then this place is a remarkable value. Also, the very candid help from the lady selling men's suits was super helpful. Her tastes were just exquisite and made me look so much better.

Beautiful building store with nice restaurant upstairs, but I just came for the SFGH hearts display this year 2023. Apparently I missed a few since there are no signs telling you where they are. You will need to ask an associate or read articles online to find out where they are. So I am happy with my Two trips here because they didn't have the window display ready when I was here last week, but the big yummy Sundae was there. And for me that the highlight. :) I always wanted to either drink coffee on the second floor or try tea time here. Maybe one day.

This review is specifically for Todd from the Women's Shoes department who quite literally turned my day around! After a VERY bitter experience at the San Francisco Dior boutique (see their Yelp page for just how crappy they are!) where I intended to purchase a pair of shoes I have been eyeing for quite some time, I decided to take my $ elsewhere and try my luck at Neiman Marcus. Todd was an absolute delight right from the start and made this a "customer-focused experience" rather than a "sale-driven experience". He made sure that I left with EXACTLY what I wanted - the perfect style and the perfect fit. There is absolutely no doubt that I will return to see Todd next time I decide to treat myself!

Ordered a Christmas gift Beginning of December - 1/2 of the order received and working with customer service has been very difficult to get an answer on the ETA of item 2. They offered to pay for shipping and give discount which I do not need. What I requested is a ETA or a tracking number of the item. Customer service states that the fulfillment center does not have a telephone for them to call to check on the order. I find it hard to believe there is not a phone number for the fulfillment center and each time I call the representative has a different story on the item location and the current 'possible' ETA. It is so sad, this store used to have amazing customer service, after repeated calls and promises - item still has not been received or have I been given a tracking number (obviously still has not shipped)

They responded immediately to my post, and after trading messages with the VP of the San Francisco store. And contacting the maker of the product directly. They immediately provided a full refund of the product in question. In short, it was a happy ending only after much haranguing. It should not have escalated like this at all. I guess buyer be ware and demand the customer service we deserve.

A middle-aged white male staff while carrying a bin of plates and bowls (probably to the kitchen area) stopped and demanded what he could help me with in a loud voice in Neiman Marcus store at Union Square SF. It was a rude, obnoxious and condescending to treat me and my family like that. (Even my young teenage daughter understood the male staff's intention hiding behind such innocuous question). People, do not allow people to mistreat you like this. Don't shop at Neiman Marcus at Union Square (San Francisco). Spend your time and money elsewhere. You have that power and use it. Don't fall for their psychological trap and spend your money there.

You walk into this place and everybody is looking at you like you're about to steal something but then here I go up to two different spot to get my perfume Jo Malone and Chanel. Both customer services are horrible. I am standing there waiting for somebody to come help grab some stuff so I can get tf outta here but nope. Both ladies on their phone for not greeting nor asking what I wanted. Horrible experience

A high end department store where you can find almost every designer brand and new ones too! Clothing, cosmetics, shoes, homeware and gifts! Holiday time is the best time to visit! Have a meal at the Rotunda Restaurant with a most beautiful view of Union Square. There's a beverage bar with free coffee and water on the 3rd floor thorough Holiday time 2022.

This afternoon getting facial products...I encountered the unthinkable as this location extended their customer service to the highest level possible when I was beyond unfortunate to deal with an idiot vandalizing my Segway in the middle of the day so shameless , I had to take off as this person didn't come back , at least for a good amount of time before making a spectacle worst than Johnny's ex wife poorly mannered .... If you have any incidents involving idiots trying to try rolling the dice you'd accept something like that , these people will be quicker than you can snap a finger if you leave any man , woman or have to answer to a single cop concerning anybody tore up on the floor pulling any Low budget Amazon driver spilling a cup of coffee on your Segway while shopping , they had the video copied and had it handy even before any cop shows up , I've never seen a team of well connected homosexuals on the same Team doing anything be so NSYNC with the same purpose that quick with the shits. a stressful need they accommodated as you have to say nothing while taking off and the other person didnt for a good 30 min trying to get it together , even providing a bottled water , to me not the person with a struggle trying to catch their breath you made Happen , but and a light of your cigarette ensuring your safety not the idiot that only attempted to vandalize your bicycle. With all the cameras in any business this corner feels more safe with the familiar handsome or blonde Security ( I happen to look out being myself with the beverage not every time but it goes very far very appreciated )face you see walking in and out never opening a single door . Having an ordeal easily dealt with shopping here the only person to look for would be DANG , always the most pleasant person greeting you by name customer service beyond personal . If given advance while running late the courtesy 30 minutes as she was closing I got her wrapped up everything I needed while apologetic insists it's never an issue , only thing is reaching over to give your credit card could be difficult but she was able to make it happen , don't forget Christmas time is for everybody so remember it's important to show them the well deserved gratitude , I seem to be the only one that does that . Can do no wrong to see to it your favorites get gift cards at Starbucks on the well deserved breaks ( my take )

Terrible customer service! All the sales associates were too busy having personal conversations amongst each other. Did not feel welcomed at all. I almost felt like I was in a high school. They would just look at me and go on with their conversations. Will never shop here again.

The review is specifically for Nilson in the fragrance department. I stopped by the store yesterday, looking for a scent from LeLabo. Nilson told me the store doesn't carry it, but offered to show me several fragrances from the Frederic Malle line. He was very friendly, super knowledgeable and professional, and not at all pushy. He gave me a couple of samples and told me to think it over and also gave me his card in case I decide to purchase, which I definitely intend to do. I'm a stickler for high level customer service, which is difficult to find these days, but Nilson offers the type of service that often is the deciding factor for me, in whether or not I purchase an item, especially from a high end store like NM. I hope Nilson's manager sees this review, and that the store offers their employees rewards for top notch service. Thanks again, Nilson, for your time and help!
