I have thick, long, wavy hair and she always manages to impress me with how she can trim all of the dead ends, thin out the bottom bulk, layer to enhance natural waves, AND keep the length. Sheila has been doing my hair color for years. I have followed her 23 salons over the past 20 years. My hair looks incredibly beautiful and natural. She does great cuts as well but it's for amazing skill in the art of ballyage that is so outstanding!

Arvin is a fantastic barber and always leaves me feeling like a million bucks. His full service includes a haircut, wash, and hot towels. I always get compliments on the hard part he creates. I walk out feeling like a GQ model.

This is a review for Arvin. I used to hate haircuts. Until the day I met Arvin and had the single best barber shop experience in three decades on the earth. Arvin immediately put me at ease, asking the right questions to make sure I got the cut I wanted (well, that my girlfriend wanted). From beginning to end, I could feel the professionalism, energy, and passion Arvin brings to his job. I could go on and on - the perfect temperature of the hot towel; the comprehensive debrief of what got done and why; the lavish attention with the straight edge to perfectly polish off my beard and hairline; the easy, unforced conversation; the attention to styling before I left the shop. This truly was a masterpiece in hair care.

This salon is made up of independent stylists. I followed Ayako here and continue to come even though my neighborhood is full of salons. She is super detail oriented and is always listening for what you are looking for. Not to mention sweet and super flexible. She takes stellar care of my thick, graying Asian hair and I always look fresh and youthful after seeing her.

This review is for Ayako. Ayako is an incredibly skilled and talented stylist. This time, I went to her for a cut + balayage color. I love that she takes the time to listen and understand how I want my hair to be cut. I asked her for a trim, to cut layers long enough to put into a pony tail, and for her to thin out my very thick hair...and that's exactly what I got! The way she cuts hair is absolutely phenomenal. All of the layers look well blended, uniform, and fall naturally around my face! Her cuts always grow out beautifully. Thick, long, Asian hair like mine is no challenge for Ayako :) I have followed her from salon to salon for nearly nine years now...and I don't even live in San Francisco! I appreciate the time Ayako takes before the cut/color to understand her clients. She lets you know what you can realistically expect from one color session and is great at communicating her ideas and reiterating what you describe to her. I felt very comfortable with the coloring process because I knew that she understood what kind of look I wanted. I showed her some pictures of balayage styles & colors that I liked and told her that I wanted a low-maintenance color. In terms of color lightness, she described to me what I can realistically expect from one color session since I was going from natural black/dark brown. She advised against doing an ash tone since I told her I wanted to use less bleach. She also let me know that ash is a difficult color to maintain, and therefore is not the low maintenance color that I'm looking for! We decided to lift the color to a natural golden-brown tone. Ayako created a "base" balayage color (no bleach), and then bleached certain areas to add an extra pop of color. Then, she toned my hair color to get a more golden tone. Her attention to detail is key to her beautiful cuts & color jobs! She took her time and meticulously hand-selected and hand-painted every section of my hair to create the most perfect, well-blended balayage look. I love how natural it looks! Since there is no harsh line where the balayage starts, she assured me that it will grow out beautifully over the next six months. She also gave me tips on how to maintain the color on my own until my next visit. I really appreciated this, since I haven't had my hair colored in a while! I can't wait to go back for my next session :) I've gotten so many compliments on my hair, and I couldn't be any happier with how it turned out!

Craig is the king of precision cuts, naturally blended highlights, and glamorous long-lasting color. After 20 years of going to Craig for lights, color and precision cuts, I have never been disappointed. I always look great when I leave and I get so many compliments on my hair, from friends and strangers, weeks after my visits to Craig, because his cuts grow out so well. His personality is fantastic, a real gem. I highly recommend Craig at Xcelerate Salon.

I can't say enough good things about Lori - she has been cutting my and my husband's hair for years and now our teenagers go too. She is an expert professional and always does a great job. Also, I don't feel pressured at this salon to buy more products - it is a low-key place.
