My girlfriend and I were visiting from Thailand and I was dumping all my access silver. The store was so awesome, so clean security s and I felt very welcome.I've highly recommend. The store I've been all around California. Trying to sell my gold and silver, and this place is 5 stars.

A nice older man helped me pick out some coins I was interested in. However, the security guard is super hostile and rude. Please talk to him about this.

I went to a few places to sell my gold coin and jewelry in san francisco and these guys gave me the best prices by farr on my items. Will definitely come see them again for future needs.

I visited Witter Coin the other day, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff here is not only knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about coins and numismatics. Their inventory of coins is truly impressive. There is an extensive array of rare and unique coins both affordable and high-end. The shop was very clean and well-organized, making it easy to browse their inventory. Witter coin is definitely a hidden gem and a spot you need to visit. I can't recommend it highly enough! Thank you for making my visit so enjoyable!

I wanted to get a starter's kit for my 6 year old grandson, and I received extraordinarily helpful and generous advice. The store is like a gallery ... so much to see. And they have scholarships, I'm told, for budding professionals!

Seth, the manager, is rude and unprofessional. Unbelievable how a guy like that gets away with treating people like that. He is petty and childish, not a good way to SERVE customers!

This is a fair, legitimate place to do business. James was great to work with. He knows his stuff. We sold some gold coins, James gave us a fair price in exchange for a check on the spot, cashable that day. Other shops either would send us a check, or, give us a check to be cashed in 3 or 4 days. They offered slightly better exchange rates than James on the day we were there, but having a check in hand was worth the piece of mind even if getting a nominally less price for us. Witter coins is worth visiting.

Love visiting Witter Coin. The showroom has a ton of amazing and unique items. The selection of rare coins and currency is not something you will see in most coin shops and the staff is always very helpful and very knowledgeable.

I would give 0 stars if i could.So this person was unprofessional, judge me based on my appearance, didnt even look at the coins on both sides, didnt look at some coins at all, and he claimed knowlegde on a particular type of coin he didnt have. Aka he pretended to know something he didn't rather than saying " let me look i to that" or " i don't know that"Detailed story below:I called witter and asked if i brough coins in if they could look at them with me and see if what i though was damage or erors. And they said they would be happy to. I have many coins old new and im just new to this s i was hoping to build a relationship with a coin dealer i could return to with the higher value items. I brough in my coins. And the tall pale blue eye man next to security. Said he woul be happy to look at them. I had coins in individual currency bags with a note indicating what the were. Without batting an eye he dismissingly said "ohh errors." Yeah these arent worth anything other than face value. He flip through the stack of bags. Never taking a coin out. Never looking at both sides of the coin and he maintained eye contact with me while filpibg through. He didnt wven look at them. I wasn't dress fancy enough for him i guess. I have no doubt if i had worn diamonds id be treated differently. I asked him specifically about the wyoming quarter hes said what i wmsaw was damamge and you could tell by how smooth the horse was. For reference, that quarter was designed to be a flat silhouette without detail and smooth. I asked him about it and he just dismissed me. So this person was unprofessional, judge me based on my appearance, didnt even look at the coins on both sides and some not at all and, he claimed knowlegde on a particular type of coin he didnt have. Akak he pretended to know something he didn't rather than saying " let me look i to that" or " i didnt know that"I left feeling insulted and as if they couldnt be bothered with the likes of me. Im definitely not returning with any coin of value.

Witter Coin of San Francisco is a FANTASTIC coin shop. I first found out about Witter Coin online back in 2017-18. Since then, I have been learning from Seth and his very experienced team of numismatists and employees. I really respect how Witter Coin treats their customers; with honesty, fairness, and integrity. Whether buying or selling to Witter Coin, you will walk out with a smile on your face. I first began to witness the true generosity and integrity of Witter Coin first hand and in person after being accepted to their nonprofit educational program for young numismatists, Witter Coin University. There, I learned how amazing Witter is with their clients and how beneficial their presence is to numismatics and the city of San Francisco in general. I’ve been part of countless deals with Seth and his team since 2021 and I will continue to do so as I have only been treated with respect, fairness, integrity, generosity, and kindness. I cannot say enough to describe how awesome of a shop Witter Coin of San Francisco is. I highly encourage everyone looking to buy, sell, or learn about coins to stop by!
