Greenlining Institute should be looking into WFB CORPORATE! I have been a WFB customer for two decades and have had the worst banking experience for that long. You might be wondering why I'm still banking with WFB. My mortgage is tied to keeping an account with them for a discount on the rate. Thank goodness I'm almost done with them!!!!! Most recently, I was held hostage to access my construction funds sent to me by my insurance company. The check was made out to both me and the bank because they hold my mortgage title. The funds were from a fire claim on the property. My latest interaction: The bank's fire claim process for releasing funds to pay my contractor leaves a lot to be desired and simply meant to keep more cash flow for the bank. The bank's inspector has to come out to verify construction progress (it takes 1 - 2 weeks after the request for inspection); once the inspector comes out, it takes another week for the WFB agent to call me to tell me they received the inspector's report and will release more funds. The inspector confirmed they turn in the report to the bank within 1 day. In the meantime, 3 weeks have gone by and I now owe the contractor more money. WFB however, will only release a small amount (20%) of the funds. And it's only done via a physical check - what ever happened to online processing?! Once I receive the physical check which takes 2-3 days to receive, I deposit it in the SAME institution it is written- WFB. WFB will in turn put a hold on it because it's a large amount only releasing the standard $2,500. I have to wait 24 hours for the rest of the funds to be available?! Pretty ridiculous. I have to ask for the full release and speak to a manager. Sigh! The WFB agent who was assigned my claim chose not to give me online processing access after a delay in getting construction started at the onset of receiving the insurance funds. He could have made this process so much easier. By the time this process takes its course, I am already 4 weeks further along with construction and in need of more funds. Now I have to start the process all over again with WFB. This is insurance money for my repairs and WFB is trying to make a buck off this (in interest). I can go on about all of the other shenanigans with their discriminatory lending practices over the years and opening unnecessary accounts, but I will not. I will NEVER bank with them again.

I have banked here for over 20 years. And previously when it was First Interstate. The teller lines were safe and secure, angled stations and so no one could see you enter your number on the keypad and you could count the cash you needed or put in. You could speak in privacy. No one could see the transaction. The manager was good. I haven't seen him since they started renovating the place. Where is he?!?!?! And they just put in a new teller line that is absolutely unsafe beyond belief, everyone can see you put in your numbers, hear your business, and see what you put in or get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! It is an Interior Designers' dream of a counter, real slick, long, high up long and a small shelf with NO barriers to sight or sound. Un un un believably bad - very bad!!!! "desig"n!!!! I say this as an architect with years of experience, trained in how to make things work for safety for people and whatever is going on. I am extremely uncomfortable going in there now, too wide open, extremely unsafe to do your business. I will eigher have to find another branch or bank to feel comfortable. If you wanted to force people to do business only online, which is in itself soooooo unsafe!!!!!!!! - some idiots will do that. The rest of us? Guess what. This is the worst design for banking I have ever seen - slick and unbelievably bad function. Even the young guy next to me felt as badly exposed and thought it a bad design. But with my years of experience, I KNOW it's very bad and frankly? Stupid!

For unknown and unknowable reasons, Wells Fargo has now shut down this and many other branches, apparently, on Saturdays. If you work for a living, it is now virtually impossible to patronize Wells Fargo. I am switching banks after 25 years as a result.

Very professional: I was able to schedule an appointment to have documents notarized within 90 minutes of my call. With so many bank branches temporarily or permanently closed and many who never had a notary at all, I appreciated from phone call to a notarized stamp the process was seamless and speedy.

It's trying times for everyone in the service industry. Which is why a little kindness and understanding goes a long way. I happened to be in the neighborhood for a YEE, in fact just a few doors over on a recent Wednesday afternoon. While waiting for my order, I walked back to my car to move it closer to the restaurant and noticed this branch. I remembered needing to make a work deposit so I walked in after parking. There was one person in line and another customer at a window only. A short time later, a young lady opened another window and helped the man ahead of me. A few minutes later, the same young lady called me to her window with a cheerful greeting and smile (yes, saw it under her mask - new norm these days). She promptly completed my transaction and asked me whether she could help me with anything else. No, thank you. I slipped out the back door that leads to a parking lot for the businesses on this block (actually spans two blocks as I learned from reading the address numbers after parking on California Street). I then accessed the restaurant through their back door in picking up my order. With the flood of bank branch closings, I am thankful to find this one serving the Laurel Village, Pac Heights, and Presidio Heights neighborhoods.

Seema is filling in for Andorra for 2 weeks. Andorra is so kind and gives excellent customer service. Seema is phenomenally rude. She called me over to help me and was talking on a loud unpleasant voice and when I mentioned that she got aggressive. When I mentioned that she got defensive. I said I am not going to try to convince you, I am just saying how I am experiencing you and you may not agree. Still no apology and instead she said "i don't agree". Wow, after using Wells Fargo Bank for over a decade, I have never had a bad experience like that.

EXCELLENT customer service. Yesterday, I was telling the girl who helped me that I'd rather get on a bus and come see them then go to my own branch across the street. Customer service is EVERYTHING, and Laurel Village branch got it in spades! ALWAYS a friendly, fast service. You walk in, somebody acknowledges you right away. If there is a 2 -people line, the tellers keep letting you know "We'll be with you in a moment". People make eye contact (in a mask, that's really all you can do) and you dont feel like you are there to bother them, like I feel in my local 19th Ave branch.Last time I was at Laurel Village and had a dry throat (just had surgery), so the teller offered me water!!! I am not used to such kindness in my bank!! She also spent a good amount of time telling me about their credit card, which I applied for the moment I got home.LOVE LOVE LOVE it here. Totally worth a bus ride.

This branch gave me the most rude treatment over a minor request. I first waited for over 45 minutes for service. I asked for a banker When I did receive service, I got a teller limited in English speaking skills named Alfredo. I asked for the manager but the four eyed teller Alfredo with limited knowledge of basic bank account security claimed to be a manager yet solved nothing and wasted He has very likely cost this financial institution a inclusive loyal customer of 10 years.

I like this laurel village location. Not a big fan of Wells Fargo but the people here make a huge difference here. Super Friendly here. Super Helpful. Big spacious location. Free Parking in the back ( this is rare in San Francisco as parking costs most everywhere here!!)

Omg this place turned into the worst bank ever. Previously it was really good, but now just not good.I'll be closing all my accounts next week actually. I have 3 different accounts including a IRA and all of them will be moved. First off everytime I go in there they only have one reeler working. Now they are closed on Saturdays! I don't want to hear about the stupid coronavirus either that's no excuse. Goodbye Wells fargo it's been a good 15 years but you guys have gone way downhill
