I wouldn't normally write a review for a Walgreens, but I have consistently had such an awful experience here, particularly with the pharmacy, I felt I needed to share.This place honestly needs to be condemned and maybe they can try again. Line times are ALWAYS at least 5 people deep and people are usually up at the counter for minimum 15 minutes. Most everything is locked up. It's just generally a miserable place.

The general Walgreens is fine, the pharmacy is a problem. The person who handles customer requests speaks limited English, sorting out through multiple prescriptions is always a challenge. I have switched to another Walgreens, problem solved.

Pharmacy is terrible, gets worse and worse. Seems drastically understaffed given volume of customers. Prescriptions take days to get filled vs expected refill time given on app. They all seem very overwhelmed. They take a long time for every single pickup regardless if just picking up or if people need more service. No coordination of lines for promptness.

Incompetence meets arrogance and sheer apathy amongst the pharmacy staff at this Walgreens. If you are sick and need urgent access to your medication, do NOT go to this branch. They close the pharmacy hours before the stated closing time on an ad hoc basis because the pharmacist ‘is feeling burnt out’ and one has to wait for several hours for the pharmacy to process scripts sent to them from a doctor. I am utterly shocked that this is the state of healthcare delivery in San Francisco. Disgraceful and potentially harmful to those who require urgent access to their medication. One star is a star too many.

Horrible. The pharmacy hours are not observed by employees at all. Often times you'll find it closed during business hours for "lunch" at very random times. Today it was 2:00pm-3:30pm last week it was 11:30am - 12:30pm. It would be acceptable if it was consistent and updated on their website and Google, but it's not you never know if you're going to be able to pick up your meds or if it will be randomly closed.I've also gotten notifications from the app saying meds are ready for pick up to get there and have them tell me it's either not ready or that I'd need to go to a different location because they are out.DO NOT USE DELIVERY. It just doesn't show up, I called everyday and was told it would be delivered within 48hrs. 6 days later I went and got them myself to be told "sorry we're short handed and very busy". If you are very busy, it means you're making money, money you could use to not be short handed. You're not short handed, you're horribly mismanaged and the other reviews here show it.They do not take responsibility if you speak to them about these things and always have excuses (usually thinly veiled behind an aire of "we hate our jobs"). They aren't reliable, kind, nor honest. I wouldn't reccomend this pharmacy to my worst enemy. People rely on medications to live, how can you just not care like this?

Waited in a 20 minute line to be told that my prescription that was "ready for pickup" wasn't even filled yet, and that I'd have to wait another 30 minutes for them to fill it. Stay away.

This review is for the pharmacy specifically. I have never once had a good experience here. The people on the phone always tell me different things than the people behind the counter. If they say a prescription will be ready in an hour, it takes at least two hours. If they say over the phone that they'll start filling it now so it's ready when I come in, inevitably I show up and they haven't even started filling it and so I have to sit and wait for an hour. Sometimes they'll literally even text you that your prescription is ready for pickup, and then you'll show up and they haven't even *started* filling it yet. I only come here because it's right next to my apartment, but I've started going to much further away pharmacies because I can go literally go halfway across the city and get a prescription filled faster than I can at this place that's right next door to me.I feel bad for the people who work here who are trying their best, but their best simply isn't working. Something is deeply messed up with their operating procedures. The store itself is fine and the people working the front checkstands are great. But absolutely don't use this pharmacy if you have literally any other choice. And if you absolutely have to use them, please at least double the estimate they give you. (And understand that even if you do that, you will probably still be disappointed.)

This pharmacy is the worst place to get medical help. They are slow, unhelpful, and never answer the phone. If you go to the store you have to wait for them you assess the 7 people ahead of you which shouldn’t take more than 1:30 hours. I wish I didn’t have to use them, they are the worst.

If I could give negative 100 stars I would . No one answers the phone. Randomly take and long "lunch breaks" aka let's find as many excuses to be lazy. Prescriptions are filled incorrectly - yes I had one and managed to notice before taking it.They are filled slowly (to a significant dangerous degree as in hours upon hours from them getting it). What should take 10 minutes equates to 6 hours, and for many many people some of whom rely on this place and have really life threatening diseases. There is no logical explanation for all of this other than Walgreens is a terrible company who hires essentially complete idiots.Furthermore, prescriptions often aren't filled till you show up, in person, ask them why it's not been filled for uh 6 hours? then they accuse you of being impatient and THEN and only then will they begin to do it. Of course then it takes 3 more hours. Truly UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! These aren't unavailable medicines either, nor excessively depleted. They simply ARE LAZY and move as slowly and as inefficiently as possible. No accountability shame or honor.BBB needs to investigate, management must be overturned and/or someone needs to fire the entire pharmacy staff. Stood in line near a doctor who literally said she is so fed up with this location that she won't even send her OWN patients here! She was here begrudgingly due to her office locationShame on Walgreens

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ana is by far the worst shift manager I've ever encounter in my life. She was rude, degrading, the way she handled herself was unprofessional. I would never recommend anyone to go to the store, nor will I ever be back to the store, simply based on her actions towards me.

Don’t book your vaccines here. I’m on a schedule for rabies vaccines which are very serious, and they called me SAME DAY to cancel because they don’t have it in stock, even though I booked it a week in advance. Once again, this vaccine is administered in a strict schedule and I can’t find another appointment for a long time now. When they called, they didn’t offer me other options other than saying “I don’t know if you wanna reschedule?”. Frankly, that’s not helpful since I have no other choice. Extremely disappointed and upset with this place.

I have been to a lot of Walgreens all over San Francisco & Daly City I have also been to the Las Vegas Walgreen!!!!!Walgreens Is a cool place to shop not only that.... I can also add money to a Clipper Card!!!!!

If you need help paying for your prescriptions, ask the tech to press F12 and type in HEPLDC. It's a special code that can make a huge difference in the cost.

Tried to paid a loan payment here, and staff tried to scam me and discriminate me. Left with cash on my after every customer in the store was shown my cash. Very unprofessional and childish.
