I wrote a review 8 months ago and the pharmacy situation has not changed. This location is the worst in the city. They leave you on a phone hold for hours and when you go into the actual store for help the pharmacy is unorganized and rude. They need to fire the pharmacy staff and start over.

I'm not going to this location again! I tried to return something within the return policy, with the receipt and they declined to help me. Don't accuse your customers of doing something unethical, it's outright rude!

This Walgreens is probably the safest Walgreens in the city from my experience. Unfortunately the service is so appallingly bad that it doesn't matter. The pharmacy never answers their phone. Not ever. When they do pick up, the pharmacist hangs up immediately. Prescriptions are always delayed. I picked up a prescription a month ago and they forgot to register it on my account. Like they have no record of it. They call the wrong doctors for refills, their computers are always "slow". I was robbed at the last Walgreens I went to and that seems better than the problems with this location. At least the other Walgreens did what they said they'd do, when they said they'd do it. My daily prescription is 5 days delayed. This is highly unprofessional for health care related business. Transferring all my business to an independent pharmacy.

This is the place where common sense goes to die. They made me stand in line for 1hr just to tell me that they now need me to wait 30 more minutes. 45 minutes have passed, and they are making me wait more. 2 hours spent in the pharmacy to be told that my son's medication is out of stock. Save your time and money by taking your business elsewhere.

Great location for the Walgreens, seems like it would be convenient for us with its proximity to our home. But we've had consistent problems all year with the pharmacy. We've tried all 4 ways of ordering prescription refills in their system, yet each time we are met with controversy. We've called in twice. Ordered through the app, gone in person, and had our doctor order directly for us.For the phone ins we had confirmation that the prescription would be ready after 11am the next day. Both times it was not ready and we were told to come back the next day after showing up.For the app, we had a confirmed receipt that our prescription was ready. Upon arrival we were told it was not prepared and we had to wait a half hour. The time I went in person, I was told to come back in 30 minutes and it would be ready. I came back in 90 and a different pharmacist said it had not been filled and to come back in 30 minutes. Staff are friendly, but the lack of communication and efficiency is frustrating.I think the blame mostly falls on the system they use. Just know it's unreliable and be ready to wait in line for 15 minutes, and then at least another 30 minutes or more for the prescription.

20 minutes in line today to pick up prescriptions. Had already received messages from Walgreens that they were ready. But, only 2 of 3 were there. Asked them to check for the third. They have no record of my third prescription, which is on autorefill. I said it was filled for 3 months, 3 months ago, please check. Nope, no record of it whatsoever. Call your doctor. Went home, opened my Walgreens account, there it was. Ordered the refill. Lucky me, now I get to go wait in line at Walgreens again. The last time I was there I walked into a cloud of pepper spray they had used on a shoplifter. Does it really have to be this hard and this unpleasant to pick up a prescription? Time to change pharmacies. It's almost as if they want to be so bad they'll have to close this location. Thanks Walgreens. I'm helping by spending nothing there except for Rx.

Don't even attempt to use this Walgreens for your pharmacy needs. The line is always ridiculous and they have been out of medications I've needed before and don't let you know that until you arrive. Today, I made an appointment to get the COVID booster and the line was ~15 people deep. Even tho I had an appointment and a confirmation, I was told to wait in the line with everyone else (some waiting for vaccine, most others waiting for a prescription). What's the point of making an appointment if there is not a separate line for vaccinations? If they don't have the capacity to provide people with their medications or on time appointments, they should not even offer them. Long story short, I do NOT recommend this Walgreens.

Worst pharmacy ever since Walgreens closed several other locations. It's been a while since the others closed so you'd think they'd have figured things out by now. But after spending TWO hours on their hold system, I had to call back and get a manager to get an answer as to why i was never notified that my prescriptions were ready. Well that's because they weren't even though they were called in yesterday. Now I'm standing in line for 20 minutes so far and still waiting to pick up. If I didn't have surgery scheduled for tomorrow I'd have called Alto pharmacy (they deliver to you and take insurance). But thought I'd be safe and call an in-person pharmacy. Stupid idea. Never again. Three hours of a day wasted. Never f***Ing again.

Although at times the pharmacy staff seems overwhelmed by the volume of prescriptions and customer demand Eugenia has been an outstanding member of their team. I've been touched by the genuine kindness of the pharmacy group and especially by hers.

The Walgreens Pharmacy on the corner of California street and Spruce street in San Francisco: HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! To reach out to them takes more than ONE HOUR and then they just HANG UP!!! The WORST STAFF EVER!!!I've made a several calls and ALL of them took me , at least, 45 minutes to get someone on the phone, yet, they were NOT able to help. All other calls take more that an HOUR after that- they just hang up.

Had the worst experience with there pharmacy people my medicine was transferred from Clement st. I was yelled at twice by pharmacy management they never seemed to have any of mystuff it was always late had my medicine at 5 different stores and I’m disabled. They stopped answering the phone so you couldn’t find out what was going on with your medicine. Then I would get a text it’s ready and drive there only to find out it wasn’t ready and they would say they never texted and would have to wait, one lady was looking and looking for 30 minutes no lie she couldn’t find it at All some how they added it to the delivery bag came home few hours later my door bell rang there’s my medicine so I called asked if they New what happened to my stuff they said I had gone in the morning and picked it up. Lied right to me, asked to speak with the manager and told him what happened and how I was just lied to he said well you have your medicine what is the problem ? Are you kidding me. You can’t trust this Walgreens

Don’t recommend for pharmacy - don’t answer the phones and often requires two visits to get one prescription
