I talk directly to the Pharmacist or Angie. They are really nice and very efficient. They have reached out directly to my MD to avoid lapses in scripts and I like the location.

I really like this Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy. The pharmacist and staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure you get your meds. But they also offer valuable support and will go out of their way to make sure there are no lapses in medications.

Staff was great, but not a fully stocked Walgreens. Just for prescriptions, more or less.

A great in hospital satellite pharmacy, where the store stocks medications, rather then general merchandise.

Over the year I’ve had to use many different pharmacies. By far the best pharmacy is #10044 Walgreens at 45 Castro St., at the Medical Davies Center. I would pick up my prescription and I never thought about how efficient they were. Always remembered me, always were one step head of refills of my prescriptions. I’d just pick my prescriptions up and not really notice the great service I was receiving. Then my employer switched insurance plans and I found myself having to go to CVS on VanNess. This was when CVS took over most of the insurance contracts, and they were ill equipped to handle all these new clients. I’d call on Monday to make sure by Friday I would be able to pick up. CVS has no delivery services, the people working there were always changing so after a year of picking up my prescriptions I still had to give them all my information, and then I’d have to wait. The pharmacist would also yell questions to me out loud that were personal questions I didn’t want everyone waiting to hear. Unbelievably unprofessional after four year they sort of got there act together, but the twenty minute wait was a given, no matter how many calls I made ahead of time. Then the pharmacist would argue with me about certain prescriptions that were off date because they messed up on earlier pickup dates. The pharmacist refused to fill them. Then my doctor called and the pharmacist argued with her. My doctor put her in her place and when I visited the next month she was transferred to another CVS Well I’m back at my favorite Walgreens at 45 Castro St. in the Medical Davies Center. Everyone knows my name. My prescriptions are ready, even the ones I forgot I was running out of. They have a great crew and they work well together. I burned both arms really badly, and whenever I’d go in to pick up, they’d ask me how my arms were healing. Teresa who’s been there for a while, is always smiling and kind to me, always say hello to me even if I’m not at her window. I don’t have all the stress I had going to CVS. It’s difficult to find a good pharmacy and you have a choice, select this pharmacy. If you doctors scripts and your insurance company approves your prescriptions, you’ll be blow away by this teams great service. Also remember that they have to go through your doctor and your insurance when filing a prescription. If there’s a problem this pharmacy is having a problem with either the doctor or the insurance. Just remember when you call your insurance to ask a question and you get transferred ten time, or you try to get a doctor on the phone and it’s impossible. That’s why your prescriptions isn’t ready, so do take out your anger on the Phamacy. It’s a very difficult job and they are doing their very best. To everyone at 45 Castro Walgreens, thank you for making my life much less stressful. I appreciate everyone who works there. Thank you⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've had this location service for many years. Then being an employee of Neiman Marcus, our insurance only allowed us to use CVS. CVS had just taken over most of the Insurance contacts to serve the employees. They were ill prepared for this task. They weren't able to know the very basics in serving it customers. I had many conversations with CVS's regional manger. He's would help me to get through the Chaos that was happening at CVS, but every month I'd go through hell just getting my basic prescriptions I needed. In short every month I went though hell to get my basic needs. CVS is a joke, not he fault of the poor under staffed pharmacies. The blame of executives that are over paid and have no accountability or the fact that they collect huge sums of money and don't care for their clients. I remember always being there when a father of a daughter who had to get her medication to treat her cancer was struggling to make the pharmacy understand that she was leaving the next day for England and he didn't have the time to waste to get her her meds. No matter how early he'd call he'd be at the deadline and the CVS pharmacy acted like it was his fault. Then they'd get to me, and it would be a disaster. Finally after many calls to the regional manager they almost got their act together. Once they were late with a prescription that keep me from having fits. I had to take a Uber to get to the CVS on Van Ness. I called days before and they assured me that everything was ready, but when I arrived with my Uber waiting. They needed thirty more minutes. I had already had a conversation with the Uber driver about how hard his life was make a living, so I kept him waiting and he told me I'll turn the meter off. I said no,keep it going I want to pay you for their incompetence. I had to pay $70 dollars for that service. Finally I was able to drop CVS pharmacy and return to to Walgreens. 45 Castro, Medical Davies Center it is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG they have my prescription ready before I'm close to being out. The pharmacists Teresa and Samantha have been so kind to me. They have seen me though job changes, my dear partners horrible death from ALS. They have made my pharmaceutical needs not an issue for me. Always having everything ready on time and sending things to me Fed ex for free at the last minute, but most importantly they don't add to my stressful health and life. I give thanks that I can depend on my pharmacy to not argue with me when I'm almost out of a medication that keep me a float. 45 Caste Walgreens is what a pharmacy should be, support to its clients. I've been in lines there were they please everyone. From those that don't have the proper insurance needs to those that are fully covered. They treat everyone with great value. Something that is lacking in American services. I love America, but lately profit is an all powerful motive to give descent service. Walgreens 45 Castro treats everyone like they have value. I've been lucky enough to have enough insurance and money to be cared for, but I've seen them take care of redirect people who don't have the proper coverage to get help, with dignity. They're a great group of people that have a high respect for everyone that comes to their window. A rare thing these days. I hope Walgreens appreciates Teresa and Samantha and everyone who works at 45 Castro. I know I do and I hope corporate Walgreens realizes the gem of a pharmacy they have here. Thank you Teresa and Samantha for making my extremely difficult life easier. I'll always be very grateful that I don't have to deal with the under staffed arrogant CVS pharmacies. Thank you Walgreens and appreciate your employees. If you do you'll be a great success, if you don't you'll be just another CVS making profit at everyone's expense.

I'm very frustrated & disappointed. I'm a senior who lives alone with no support & I was counting on the medication my doctor ordered being delivered before 12:00PM today as promised. I was not given any tracking info nor did I know the pharmacy would be closed. I was told UPS was delivery agent & they did not have any deliveries for my house.

Sam the head pharmacist goes above and beyond for my monthly scheduled medications to make sure they are stock. Also is very informative and courteous ( most pharmacists do not care as much as Sam). The whole staff is extremely helpful for me to pick up my prescriptions a great pharmacy there at the Davies center Walgreens.
