Vacation is the rare remnant of old SF still kicking today. Apart from being a joy to visit, it’s the most tempting temple to fashion on this side of the tenderloin. Their proprietor, Kristen, is an integral member of the community with a network of old heads, bonafide rock stars and hometown hippies who she sources rare and exquisite pieces from. Vacation is a special place, unique to the bay and not to be missed.

Favorite vintage store!! I’m from sf but live in New York and every time I come home I make sure to go to vacation! They always have the most incredible and unique pieces— prices are very reasonable for these treasures :) also the store itself is just incredibly cool and funky (the floors are a masterpiece). Whenever people ask me for recommendations for shopping in sf I always tell them they can’t miss vacation.

Vacation is amazing! Some of my most treasured vintage pieces are from here, and they are always getting amazing new pieces. Everyone who works there are always super responsive, and happy to share information and expertise. They also have a great IG account where they post lots of awesome pieces.

Vacation is, by far, one of the best vintage stores in the Bay Area. Highly curated, with a wide range of styles and sizes, this store has tremendously quality and character. Kristin, the owner, has an exceptional eye, and she and her staff are the life breath behind what makes this store a true destination, and each visit pure enjoyment. One of my favorite vintage stores in the US. They consistently have the best most unique clothes and accessories, including amazing designer vintage items. The new location in North Beach is awesome too!! Lovely store, lovely staff!! I left SF few years ago but still shop online and visit in person every time I’m back in town.
