This post office is seems to be understaffed on a regular basis. Staff is courteous, but not very helpful. The location usually has a long line extending to the sidewalk, especially in the afternoons. Picking up parcels are easy, though.

I find the 22nd and Irving office to be slow and ineffective. Not enough people there to assist you. The service fees go UP and service drops.

The worst service I’ve ever experienced at any USPS, and that’s saying something. Incredibly rude. If you can, go elsewhere.

The machine that you are supposed to use to sign your name and write your name and your address has a little tiny screen, the left half of which does not work at all, and a pen which does not work at all, and they insisted on me trying to use my fat finger on this little tiny half of a screen to write all of this information, and they did it over and over and over again expecting different results. These are the kind of people that can only follow protocol and can't seem to understand the basic impossibility of what they are asking even though they must have gone through it literally a million times before. Based on the employees and the equipment at this location I would say avoid it at all costs. Unfortunately I had no choice because the people who sent me a package put a completely fictitious address for no apparent reason and it was directed here instead, so it was either come pick it up here at this location or wait weeks for it to be sent back to where it came from and then have them reship it. ???

If I worked at the post office, and it was 5 min closing on Christmas Eve, and all you need is a piece of tape to go on your package, well.... I'm going to give you a few pieces of tape. And get your box sent off. With a smile on my face. Well not at the sunset Post office. One of the worst post office experiences I've ever had. Rude rude rude did I mention rude

5 for the post office? WHY? Admittedly USPS doesn't evoke images of revelry and 'enjoy' isn't a word typically associated with anything having to do with the Government. But there's a small slice of joy situated on 22nd Avenue near Irving street. I was in said business last week, and the whole time, the staff were cracking up with each other and customers. I was laughing and I couldn't even hear the whole convo but the laughter was contagious. After a very short (3 min) wait, I was up. The customer next to me and two staff were still laughing, joking about 'he'll be sad to see you go'. I thought 'I'll be sad to go, this is so cute'. And it's not an isolated incident. I always have a funny conversation with the gentleman (I need to get his name). Ya gotta admit, making jokes about packages and the speed of print labels is not a level of comedy the average person can achieve. It's pure gold.
