Just stopped by to mail my passport. Genuinely surprised by how nice the staffs were after reading all these google reviews. Was served by one of the Filipina ladies, who greeted me, was very helpful, gave me a good information, and said thank you at the end. Nothing rude like what's said by the other reviewers.

I often have a need for stamps in a wide variety of denominations, and this is one of the few post offices that have them! I love that I don’t have to order them on the website and wait. The counter people are so knowledgeable! This is on my short lost of reliable post offices.

You need an appointment to apply for a passport, but you cant reach them over the phone to make the appointment or to ask if they require appointments.

Excelsior USPS is the BEST in the city among the ones I tried in the past few yers. Melisa, Mike , Charles, Sherry and more, Everyone works there are very professional, knowledgable, polite, friendly. They never rush customers but in the mean time handle our transactions ( we go every day) very efficient. When they close at 5pm, as long as we walk in the door before 5, they handle our transactions not letting us feel under any pressure that they want to rush, close and go home. NOT LIKE THE MAIN OFFICE IN EVANS STREET, we walked in to the main office half hour before they close, the lady Yolanda always comments that we need to come in earlier. We go over there because of they close at 8:30 so we have more time to pack, otherwise , we would not leave the Excelsior site. Excelsior site staff treat us like neighbors and family, they thank customers for the business. The Main office team except Sandie and James, other staffs make us feel the pressure of giving them more work load. I even put in a review that they should come do a cross training in the Excelsior branch to learn how these personnels handle customer service. Ethan over sees both branches, hope he sees this message. LOVE EXCELSIOR USPS BRANCH!!!!

I was waiting in lines for about 10 minutes. There were 4 postal workers attending customers. One was serving passports business, The other three were servicing . We were waiting. One new woman postal worker just finished her customer. Then She asked for any ones wanting pickup to come forwards. A few customers presented their pink receipts for pickup. She just kept asking for pickups even though no ones needed pickup. Her stall was empty and I didn't go forward. It is my turn, I stepped forward to a stall, Joe servicing. I presented my Prepaid priority envelopes and asked for a receipt. Joe asked me go to next line which was serving for pickup. I asked Joe why he refused to service me when it was my turn.He didn't answered me. Joe asked a customer behind me to come forward. I refused to step away from the counter. And Joe stepped away from his stall to end the confrontation, leaving his counter. The other postal worker waved me to come to next counter to serve me. I just remembered this guy he called his himself Joe. He seemed to me always has bad altitudes.

Failed to get any contact to find out if a resident in a known address at a known post office branch had left a forwarding address when they recently moved. I needed this information in order to send a birthday gift via Amazon.

I just swung by the small post office on Onondaga to mail a fun Valentines Day gift to my niece in New York. I prepaid the label at home and came to get the fixed rate large priority mail box. They had the box. Awesome. But not the service. :-( The large box didn’t have the seal to close it up. All the other sizes have the self-closing seal. So as I was putting it together I asked if I could borrow some tape. Nope. I asked the agent what I should do. I told her I already paid the $22.80. She said that’s a cheap price and next time “I should be better prepared”. Thanks Cindy. For nothing. When asking for a manager she said this office doesn’t have one and I would have to go to 1300 Evans. Mind you this is my neighborhood post office for 50+ years. Now I see why the reviews rate this place a 2 on service. So sad. Truly. Will have to start going to the one near my work. If Cindy’s manager reads this, perhaps some coaching could help? Probably not.
