Of all the post offices I've been to in the Bay Area this is by far the best one. They are efficient, quick and organized when processing transactions. Unlike other post office locations that follow a pace of plate tectonics. This is the only post office I go to. Excellent service that other locations should try to duplicate, but they won't. Highly recommend this Post Office

Recently on business in San Francisco, I needed to send out a parcel asap. Now, I know many people are partial to certain carriers when it comes to shipping packages and documents, however I am a fan of USPS. It's technically a quasi-government entity, and it's not dysfunctional as everyone thinks. They are actually quite efficient and effective as well as affordable; you can't get many 2-3 day services for a medium sized box for $17 tracked and insured...federally. And moreover their employees are loyal. I digress. This USPS location is within walking distance from downtown, has 2-3 windows open, is not very busy, and the postal employees are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this location.

My favorite SF post office! I mostly use it to ship click-and-ship boxes, and the employees are always friendly and generally fast. Additional points for the cool interior; a lot of the SF Post offices (looking at you, Pine St branch) have incredibly boring interiors, so it's refreshing to see one that actually has some character.

Needed to ship out a package and this was the only post office that was open until 4:30pm on a Saturday! Located in Chinatown. Everywhere else around me closed at like 1PM. What a life saver!

They told me I should give an extra 30 dollars for my free shipping package. And I shipped my package at other USPS without any problems.

After my horrible experience with Fed ex, I went to the USPC, and I was be able to complete my request in 3 minutes that fed ex couldn’t do in 30 minutes. So USPC is the best for me. They really understand customer need and can provide fast and efficient solutions.

Don’t go to this place! This post office charged my dad $9.90 each for a package which is less than 1oz. So ridiculous! I know it’s priority mail but they should have chose a cheaper way! It’s totally a scam!

Great service, but small branch.Due to novel Covid-19 with 6 feet social distancing safety guidelines, there can be two people at the counter, two in line, and the third person and back is standing outside the door on the sidewalk.

I waited an hour in line to have this conversation:USPS: “We don’t know where your package is”Me: “so my package is currently lost in your system?”USPS: “I never said that”

Essential indeed.Once things started shutting down, the community's question was what will stay open. With Chinatown being mainly comprised of newcomers to our fair country, many of whom are seniors, keeping in touch with family didn't necessarily mean that everyone had WeChat, telephone access, or any other means of communication outside of San Francisco.I stopped here several times for various reasons to send certified mail, packages, and buy stamps over the past six months. The main concern these days? Is it safe. There are signs posted and markings on the floor to limit the number of customers in the building. 85% of the people observed the directions but a few masked visitors stood by the left wall trying to figure out how they wanted to send things, the only social distancing violators there. Luckily, I was towards the other side and quickly completed my transaction. The other 85% followed the clerks' instructions and stood in line according to the spaced floor stickers. The clerks and customers were further protected with the clear plexiglass dividers at the counter.Five stars for protecting the neighborhood locals and staff under these trying times. Let's just hope this new normal doesn't become permanent, especially with the predominantly senior demographic here.

I would agree with other people that this location is the worst. Usually I have great experience with usps. I’m not sure if staff is over worked or why this is but, I cannot get hold of them even with direct phone number. Tried for days now (I moved and cannot go in person) also Service was super poor when I shipped few items. I was told my box was too big but then I saw them adding inches. So it took a while to sort that out. I would avoid this location. But if you just need to ship an item and it’s flat rate, you should be ok. Anything with more complexity do not go.
