They are not honest, her Towtruck mislead and lie to my daughter to take her car to this shop, my daughter was using her Aaa membership to cover the tow services, but I decide to take my car to a different shop and then this women said she was the owner and because I am taking my car away I have to pay them $880.00 for towing services and Saturday and Sunday storage, I did try to remove the car on Sunday but it was close

I came back for an adjustment of a previous repair. They did it quick, but not cutting corners to do it well. They also accommodated my schedule to allow me to pick up my car well after closing hours (I was flying back to SF and live far away from the city) ?

This shop is no longer Tony's Collision Center of years past. Tony sold the business, although they will tell you that Tony only comes in sometimes and is still the owner. During my five visits, they did not even do any work in the SF location. They use a sister shop in San Bruno; it's in the fine print of some documents they have you sign in--total bait and switch. The quality of the work was amateurish at best. The paint job was not finished on the inside of the door jam; it felt like sandpaper, tape marks remained around the windows, and parts were incorrectly reassembled. Here is the best for last: they dented the inside of my door jam and claimed it was their prior. WTF?! It's a good thing the insurance adjuster has all the photos prior. After pointing out all the issues, they were willing to fix the car, and this was a small job. No, thank you! They will never go near my car again; if you are smart, you should let them, either. I told them they could eat the deductible, and they did. I just wanted the work done professionally like the old Tony's. Buyer beware! Also, the car came dirty with 50 more miles than when I dropped it off. Ferris Bueller valet scene insert here.

If you are looking for an auto shop that goes by the book, Tony's collision center is NOT for you. Ed and his excellent team who previously ran the shop no longer work there, and the way the new management handled my recent interaction with them was completely backwards and illogical. When I confronted them about it, I was lectured and blamed by the manager for everything she perceived I (as the customer) did wrong. To sum up my experience, I brought my car in last week because the right front door panel that had previously been replaced and repaired by the shop had started sticking out again. I had been told by the previous shop owner that the area was under lifetime warranty and that if it had any issues in the future, to just bring it back in for a covered repair. When I arrived, I was told by the manager who walked around my car and looked at the area that the repair would be covered by the insurance company via a supplement to the original claim. They for some unknown reason submitted a preliminary estimate to my insurance company via their sister company, "Amazon Collision Center." The insurance company submitted a payment to them and sent the confirmation to the email address listed (
[email protected]). Without having received this confirmation or an authorization for repair from the insurance company (because it went to the alternate shop's address), Tony's Collision Center went ahead and scheduled the work today and did the repair. They never called me to let me know that there were any issues with the insurance coverage or that they found other damage to the right front bumper that suggested the panel sticking out was not related to the original repair. I called several times to inquire about the status of the repair. The first time they told me they would call me back in a few minutes but didn't. The second time they told me that the repair was done. There was no mention of anything else. When I arrived to pick up my car, the manager pointed to some other areas of damage on the car and told me that the part sticking out was my fault and that I was responsible for the payment. I asked what the status of the supplemental claim was, and the manager said it was still pending. They had not even sent photos of the other areas of damage to the insurance company yet but were telling me that the insurance would deny it due to being unrelated to the original repair and that I had to pay. This immediately sent up a red flag in me and I was legitimately worried about being scammed. She refused to call the insurance company or to provide me with any documentation of the repair that had been done (I like to keep records of any work done on my car). When I refused to pay, the manager told me she would just cover the cost herself. I immediately called my insurance company and spoke with the claim adjustor who told me they authorized the repair last week and already sent the payment. I then asked them to speak with the manager to let them know that. Instead of apologizing for the miscommunication and for asking me to pay for something that was already paid for by my insurance company, she lectured me for 10 minutes about everything I did wrong, repeating that the damage was "your fault." I would have been happy to pay for the damage incurred by me and unrelated to the prior repair if they had submitted the correct information to the insurance company and the insurance company had come back and refused the authorization to repair. However, this is not at all what happened. They went ahead and did work on my car without knowing that it was paid for by my insurance and without getting my authorization, and then tried to get me to pay out of pocket for something I didn't owe. It is unfortunate how lacking they are in communication skills (with both insurance companies and their customers), customer service, and basic management principles of their auto shop.

Tony's Collision Center is the place to go in San Francisco for honest work at a very fair price. I brought my BMW in and they were able to provide a better quoted price than other shops around the city and I was able to bring it in with a short turnaround time. They understood I had budget restraints and were able to work with me to fix the car in the most cost efficient way possible, explaining each part of the process so that I knew exactly what I was paying for.The whole staff was very friendly and provided exceptional service. Most honest shop I've ever been to.Services: Painting

The service was incredibly rude and unhelpful. They did not have a credit card reader on site and refused to release my car even after I had handed it over payment by check. I cannot understand why AAA includes them as a facility in its direct repair network as they are just awful to their paying customers. Go to Don's on Bush Street instead. The staff there are competent and helpful and do not waste your time.

Highly recommend this shop. Ed, the manager, in particular goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. They are ethical and do great work. After being hit while parked my car looked like it was totaled. Tony's did all the repairs and it came back looking brand new. Unfortunately after having the car back for a while, I noticed an intermittent squeak and had to bring the car back a few times. Each time Ed was very patient and tried to solve the problem and even sent the car to the dealer to inspect. Ed never seemed annoyed that I kept coming back and made a genuine effort to resolve the issue. Unfortunately even though they tried a couple fixes, the noise never went away entirely. Ultimately, I had the issue looked at several months later by the dealer during routine service appointment and after all that time contacted Ed and he promptly reopened the claim and took care of all the bills with the dealer. Even the dealer said he was great to work with. While it wasn't great that they couldn't figure out the noise at Tony's, it took the dealer three separate visits and multiple test rides together to ultimately figure it out, so I will give Tony's the benefit of the doubt on that one. Also I couldn't ride with them due to COVID precautions at the time of the original claim which I'm sure made it harder to diagnose. Would definitely recommend and come back here again.

Ivan was helpful and informative. It was an insurance claim so wasn't bothered by the total cost of repairs. Even facilitated a rental pick up and drop off for me. Cleaned out the interior of my car which had nothing to do with the repair so that was an extra bonus. I felt whole again when I picked up my car.Services: Body & Trim

I got excellent support from Tony's Collision Center after my husband had a car accident. I took the car in for an estimate and Ivan was super thorough and helpful in guiding me during the process. As a Geico friendly center, Ivan took time from his day to explain the repair process and my options. Through their text messaging interphase I get updates on the procession of my car repairs. Highly recommend them if you are living on a budget in SF!

They have had my car for over 2.5 months now. Ridiculously a mess and non communicative. Still haven’t got it back yet.

I was directed to Tony's through someone's insurance when they had backed into my car. They not only did a fantastic job with repairing my door, but also were kind about helping polish out further a mark I noticed was missed. I also really appreciate how friendly they've been every time I've come by! Would highly recommend from both a customer experience and work standpoint.

Someone crossed into a protected lane and merged into me causing damage to my 2011 VW Jetta's left mirror, front panel, tire and rim, headlight and bumper. So I reached out to Tony's since it had great reviews, they are in network with AAA, and it was closest to my home. When you drop by for a consult, I recommend pulling over in the side street or directly in the shop (if there's room) since street parking might be hard to find. When I dropped in, Ivan answered all 38297 of my questions and was very patient, honest, knowledgeable, and reassuring. Customer service from Ivan and Ed in person and over the phone was excellent from start to finish. If you're looking for a quick service, this might not be the best fit since their services are in high demand and they get booked out. I had to wait a couple weeks to bring my car in due to their busy schedule, the holidays, and waiting for parts to ship to their shop. However, it was worth it due to the quality work they do. If you're also looking for a lot of mechanical work, this MIGHT not be the shop for you either (but be sure to ask). I say this because they specialize in body work and might need to outsource some services. But they're well-connected and will get the work done! They use an app and texting to keep you posted on the status of your service. However, I found that calling was the best way to get an accurate update. They passed the estimated completion date by a day or two, but offered a fair explanation since there was unexpected internal damage and parts needed. Overall, this was a nerve wracking experience since I was worried my car would be totaled, but Ivan and Ed eased my nerves and did impeccable work - my car was looking brand new! I highly recommend them!

My car was damaged in a freeway accident so i checked out Tony's Collision Center. The garage is located behind Firestone complete auto on 11th Street and Mission Street. The garage was busy and packed with vehicles. I decided to visit another garage but i can compliment the great customer service and organized feel of the garage. If you visit, please make an appointment and plan for a parking nightmare since the garage is located near the SF. City planning department.
