I was sold a fake Loewe puzzle bag. I believe that as they've scaled, their authentication process has taken a hit. Secondly, many of the items are in worse condition than is listed.
I'm done with them - unfortunate because I enjoy designer products and am conscious about sustainability.

Beware as a consigner! They’ll accept designer items, list for a reasonable price and then randomly discount to an extreme much later without any warning. I just got a $1.60 check in the mail for a Prada item that I would have recalled back to keep if they’d notified me. Poshmark is a much better route!

TL:DR; This place does NOT sell authentic goods - they sell cheap and obvious knock-offs, and use the normal "Comcast" run-around to make it painfully slow, complicated and difficult to have ANY recourse about it. Sadly, the other one-star reviews I'm seeing are accurate.Long story is my daughter wanted to buy a Tod's handbag from this site. She saw all the glowing testimonials online, and asked for it as a Christmas present. Upon first examination, it's clear this isn't authentic. Missing key details, stitching is poorly done, the metal feet aren't correct, missing key logos, etc. As I said - CLEARLY an obvious knock-off.I immediately contact them (on Christmas Day, about 1pm in the afternoon). It's now January 8th, they received back the item a week ago, and they are still giving me the runaround. STILL NO REFUND FOR THIS FAKE HANDBAG.BOTTOM LINE: Their entire business model is presented as you can trust us, we've made sure our stuff is authentic and legit. IF YOU CAN'T TRUST THAT, WHY ARE YOU SHOPPING THIS PLACE FOR KNOCK OFFS?Avoid like the plague.

Do NOT use this company. I had some items to sell, and they offered to send someone to pick them up. Some random guy who didn't speak English showed up to take them, and wasn't going to give me a receipt or anything. WTF? Who does that? So I refused, of course. I went to the store itself and got a receipt and they said they'd value them in a couple of weeks. Instead, I found out they just posted them to their website without my agreement to the price. Again, WHAT? I'm in now in the process of trying to get my items back. Insane. Definitely stay away from this crazy business.

SCAM!! Warning !!The Real Real doesn't sell authenticated Real items. After informing their Horrible customer service that the item is missing serial #, is made of plastic instead of real leather... they gave me the run around for an hour refusing a refund- offered their "experts" to reauthenticate the Fake Chanel shoes without providing and actual authenticity certificate. Don't get fooled by their "authenticity" scam. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible in addition to Horrible customer service.Stay Away and don't waste your $ here

They sold me a fake Burberry shirt. The stitching was terrible and the fabric was like that of notebook paper. I will not be buying from this company again and they should be investigated for selling counterfeit merchandise.

So I texted the number and a team member said they had escalated to a manager, who will respond to arrange an in-home pickup with another account manager. Never heard back. The RealReal's increasing lack of customer service is disappointing.

As a consigner to the real real (TRR) for years, I trust that they have the expertise to identify, authenticate and correctly value items for resale. While it was true when the company was starting, my experience suggests it isn’t true any longer. Moreover, they don’t seem to care. TRR has either become too big or simply don’t have enough experts to to do the job. Either way, my python designer handbag was mistakenly sold as “embossed yellow leather” for $52. I received $20 in commission. The resale price for that bag according to TRR competitors Poshmark and Mercari, is between $450 and $600. After the bag was sold and I realized what had happened, I called consigner services. I sent them the links showing the same bag on these other websites for significantly higher prices. I was told someone would get back to me in one to two weeks. I thought that seemed like a ridiculously long time to wait, but okay. It has now been three weeks and no one from consigner relations has gotten back to me. Nothing. I have followed up four more times and still nothing. At best, this is bad business practices. At worst, the company is failing to live up to its mission statement. If was the CEO of TRR, I would want to know this because in the end, TRR has no business if they lose their consigners.

We say: Think: Pennies on the Dollar.Sent inquiry email re items and heard back promptly. Next, sent several emails to inquire re: an appt. No response. Finally, brought items in and long story short: they priced items really low and sold them for pennies on the dollar. What a rip...Worst parking garage. Roof Top parking only...Impossible to find TRR office from the roof top.

Horrendous customer service the their consignment relations. Never return calls, when promise to. Items take close to two months to get listed, once they are accepted by them. Countless inept “managers” that over promise and under deliver. Sent in a designer necklace, listed it as a bracelet. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

Terrible customer service. Ordered an item and no option to input additional delivery instructions. This is surprising considering TRR products are luxury goods and should not be left on people's doorsteps where they can be stolen. Sent email requesting to update delivery instructions to give access to my building. Took 16 hrs for a response saying they'd look into it. Sent a second email 3 days later requesting a follow-up only to be told I (yes, me the customer) could provide instructions to UPS on the day of delivery. TRR is inefficient and has no customer care/service.
