Other reviewers were not lying when they said the ladies here are rude and passive aggressive. I travelled all the way from Texas and was excited to come here, but was shocked by the employees unnecessary rudeness. Candy options are good, but felt awkward/rushed to pick since they scoop for you. Wouldn’t go back here again because of service

Truly one of the gems of San Francisco, it is a candy store, but they are serving joy!

Poor service and overpriced candy at $25 per pound. Go to Giddy Candy in Castro or Candy’s on Haight for better candy selection, pricing, and service. Cashiers at both locations are always nice when I drop by! Giddy also allows you to fill up your own bags with tongs.

Want to give the benefit of the doubt but the person was extremely rude. There’s a ton of restrictions from the amount you can get per jar so even if you wanted to get 1-2 pieces for a $25 bag you couldn’t - to the minimum weight you need to purchase. I was super excited to get a bag but just ended up leaving without anything since the person was so rude and passive aggressive (also seeing the same reaction in a different review which isn’t surprising). Wouldn’t recommend coming here and having them ruin your day!

I felt very uncomfortable being the only person in there. It’s a tiny shop with a passive aggressive lady. I usually love supporting small businesses and I was even going to make a tik tok about hers but she was so rude and I felt unsafe. I didn’t buy anything not only because 1 pound of candy was $25 but also because she was plain out rude.

They scoop for u and purposely scoop wayyy too much. When asking for just 1 or 2 they said they only do scoops… why would I want a whole scoop when I don’t even know if the candy is good or not. This is also a huge bottleneck bc there’s only one person operating the store so be prepared to wait at least 5 mins per person. The woman at the store was also very unfriendly and felt like she wanted us out right away. Like how ru gonna be mad when u work at a candy store. Would recommend going to other candy stores in the city

Amazing candy store, we drove over two hours so my daughter could get some Swedish candy. It was everything she expected and more!

We had so much fun picking ourCandy, talking with the friendly owner, and of course the candy itself was delicious. (Tried all the Swedish candy we could find) As we chatted, the owner mentioned having an injury that was very painful. I was shocked-she was so enthusiastic and kind! Amazing!

Super expensive, okay tasting, and they don’t let you get the candy yourself.

This is the best candy store in the entire united states- possibly in the entire world. Diane, the owner, is one of the kindest, funniest, most wonderful and warm people that exists on this planet. You are very lucky if you are able to meet her and be in her presence. They have the BEST selection of candy bar none. They have very rare and unusual candies and the candy is always fresh. It is never stale. Diane orders the candy every 3 weeks so it's always fresh. This is my haven. I come every single week. My faves (which they have memorized and I don't even have to ask for anymore) jelly babies, strawberry piglets, rainbow drops, and strawberry bricks. This is the best place in the world. Go see for yourself!
