Non Profits beware! This outfit takes your money first and then verifies 501(c)3 status by demanding a copy of the IRS determination letter, not accepting state issued letters of good standing. no refunds. Not all non-profits are required to obtain this from the IRS, like organizations making less than $5K a year, and religious organizations. The fees are high and it takes the IRS a long time to process. we brought this to their attention to no avail. if the IRS doesn't require it, who are these folks to demand it. They should at least post this requirement before taking payment and wasting valuable time.

If you are a non profit, you should get in contact with these folks before buying any computer hardware or software. They can provide a variety of software at a large discount. An example is Intuit's QuickBooks Premier NonProfit which costs $400 apiece. Qualified 501(c)3s and the like can get it for $50 for one user and $99 for three at the time of this writing. I recommend Tech Soup to all of my nonprofit clients in Greater Seattle that I setup, network, review, troubleshoot, and train one-on-one in this software in Greater Seattle.

I've been using Tech Soup for years. They are an incredible resource for all things tech related from a non-profit perspective. Their free webinars are super informative, and the connection as a clearinghouse for discounted software at non-profit prices has saved us boodles of money. I've shared about this organization at every non-profit workshop I've taught. They are a blessing to those of us who serve others.
