Place was great but now a letdown. Cashiers ask for TIPS. Ring you up for incorrect items and prices they have on the shelf have different prices once they are scanned at the front. Better off going a block down. Taking my business elsewhere.

The main reason this State Market is so great is that its perfectly in tune with the sensibilities and aesthetics of the State Market. The selection is diverse and carefully selected. The friendly and knowledgeable staff never steers you towards the most expensive bottle when you ask for a recommendation. A comfortable place to hang.

I recently thought I would purchase my Lottery tickets at this old neighborhood favorite. I grew up on 12th Avenue. The cashier who might be the owner was rude and unfriendly. I won't return to this store.
