I really enjoy the varied beers and wide selection of spirits. If you need a bottle to impress at dinner, you can find it here, but you also have plenty of options without having to stretch a buck. Henry is fun, and will teach you a lot of you chat him up.

This store has an amazing selection of spirits, beer, and wine. It's a no brainer to stop by if you need to pick up something quick as a gift for a party, or even wine and beer for a party. The owner is super knowledgeable, and will help you find selections based on flavor and other preferences first before reaching for the highest possible price. I'll be coming back for sure.

This place has the best selections for beers. Absolutely a must visit. Customer service is great and very knowledgeable. If you're in the neighborhood of sunny side I suggest you pay a visit for their incredible selection.

I only found out about this place because they have orbit coffee. Parking can be a little challenging. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The place was nice and clean. Also they have spirits that are pretty hard to obtain. The customer service was great, friendly, and knowledgeable. The selection they have is perfect for the size of the place. I recommend you check the place out.

A great community gem for various wines, spirits, and craft beers (with untapped ratings displayed!). Staff was personable and knowledgeable! They also have Orbit coffee beans as well!

This place is a gem.They have a diverse and constantly rotating selection of beers, including local breweries (HenHouse, Moonlight, Laughing Monk, Temescal, East Brothers etc.), as well as out-of-state and international offerings. You're allowed (and encouraged!) to mix-and-match, which is a huge bonus when trying unfamiliar styles.The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable: I enjoy stopping by for a chat, as much as I do to buy beer!(They've a great selection of wines and spirits as well, but the beer is my main focus)

A community gem of coffee beans (Orbit roastery based on Oakland), wines, spirits, and craft beers. Very knowledgeable staff pertaining to all the have to offer. Bonus - they have Untapped ratings on their beers!

My uncle has a little bar counter in his home, and he generally searches for another jug of liquor and wine or any beverages to accumulate on his assortment in his minibar. Last Saturday, we visited this liquor shop close to our town. My uncle was joyfully conversing with a person, who educated him a great deal of things regarding liquor . He even purchased a couple of jugs. He was truly flabbergasted by the shop due to its various assortments, and the spot looked truly tasteful. He even let the person know that he will return again when he can. Extraordinary spot of incredible wines, certainly!

Excellent customer service with a selection of recommended good value wines and an exhaustive collection of wines and spirits for a small store. Very personalized service. When I thought a bottle o red wine from Losi was a Zin, I was surprised to find it was a Cabernet Sauvignon. I not only bought it--at a fantastic value of $10, but also bought a bottle of Zin ($14) from the same vintner he. recommended from Lodi. Stop in for a great experience!

Nice people running it, but $25 for 64oz of beer(4-pack) or $20 for a half-pound of Robusta coffee is FAR too dear. Yeah, they have a deep selection, and maybe their MBA math on fewer sales at higher profit might work out, but the loss of the old Monterey Deli here was a huge blow to the area and this is a poor replacement. We need more Roxies and Red Seas, and fewer hipster specialty shops.

This is our go-to spot to pick up drinks when we're on the way to BBQs and other gatherings in the East Bay. It became Starr Spirits a couple/few months ago. It's owned by the same folks as Orbit Coffee in Oakland. So not only can you grab a good selection of alcoholic drinks, but you can get some quality coffee beans and refrigerated pre-made coffee too! I particularly enjoy the Vietnamese Coffee - last time we went in, they had tasters of it so you could give it a whirl before buying it. :) It's a small shop, but it has a really well curated selection of beers including Bay Area brewers such as Dokkabier. As well as a variety of high quality liquors in a range of prices. This place is also remarkable for its friendly staff. Definitely worth a trip if you're nearby!

Awesome addition to Monterey Street. Curtis who works there is super nice and helpful. Amazing craft beer selection and they allow singles on all their beers as well. Definitely on the pricier end for booze, but that’s the price you gotta pay for nice things in the neighborhood.
