Hallucinating experience, We had booked at 12:00 PM on August 6 and on time we arrived at the Sixt office of Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco and we were greeted by a kind and smiling clerk who after taking credit card and driver's license asked us to wait 5 minutes to get the car. After 15 minutes of waiting he tells us to wait another 15 minutes and only after 30 minutes he tells us not to have a car. We waited over an hour and a half (of which 30 minutes after signing the contract) to have a dirty car, hot and smelly and of the same level as the reserved and paid, no discount, no excuse, nothing at all just arrogance and arrogance. In order to avoid giving us explanations, the manager had a coffee and went out on the street leaving us alone in the office for 15 minutes. If this is the Sixt service then it is better to avoid it as the worst renting company. Hallucinating service and that's it

Full 5 stars - after I picked up my car in Salt Lake City, the check engine light and oil service came after a good 500km. I was immediately offered a new vehicle from the same category - but when I drove out I noticed a crack in the window - so I complained again. Without any ifs or buts, I was immediately offered another new vehicle in a higher category - almost new and with demonstrably fresh service. Thanks to the man at the counter (Spanish name?) who sorted this out in such a friendly and completely uncomplicated manner

No Fernando, no Sixt!! ? Best customer service from Fernando at the counter (Did you get our postcard?!). The vehicle we booked wasn't ready yet, we got a free upgrade to another car, which gave us a perfect vehicle for our road trip. Izzy then patiently explained to me how to operate the high-tech car ;)
Fast, hassle-free pickup and return. In Germany I never book with Sixt - too expensive and not particularly friendly; In SF, come back to the station at any time.

The car I was supposed to get was not returned on time and therefore was not available. Since it is a small branch, there was not a large selection of replacement cars. Instead of an upgrade, I opted for a car in the class I booked, which had a small defect on the dashboard and should actually have been repaired. To compensate for the inconvenience, I received a generous discount. All the employees are very nice and accommodating and try very hard to accommodate all requests. Gladly again!

This business has wasted my bomboclaat time. They show pics of rentals which they claim as available on their website, then they take yo money and make you wait till they confirm availability of rental.
They didn't even reach out to us, we had to reach out to them to confirm availability of the rental. They simply reply with its not available. Then why post a pic of the rental online saying it's available and waste my bomboclaat time. This is very inefficient business from their side, worse than amateurs.

Extremely friendly service from Mr Faramarz - perfectly located - great options. No queue and no stress. Also note that this branch has better rental prices than the airport (take an Uber here and save)

From the moment I walked into the office, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. Mr. Faramarz was incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient, making the entire rental process smooth and stress-free.

This place was amazing! We had a reservation and when we arrived it was a quick process. The staff were professional and friendly. The gentleman helping us recommend the app Spot Hero to help look for parking garages, and that was a life saver. The car we rented was very clean and in showroom shape. I would highly recommend this place. They made renting a car a breeze!

Sixt is my new favorite rental car company!!! I just showed up 40 minutes after they closed (I got caught up in work) and had the audacity to ask them if there was any way they could still help me. Despite the inconvenience of my ask, Fernando had so much kindness in his heart to not only still help rent me a car, but make such enjoyable conversation with me while we worked through the paperwork together, too. I also crossed paths with Izzy, who was equally as eager to get me set up well. I feel hesitant to share the piece about showing up late and them still helping, because I doubt that’s an exception any reasonable person would want to regularly make, however I feel it’s necessary to emphasize the exceptionality of the customer service experience I was lucky enough to have!!
Thank you to everyone at Sixt, this is the only rental car place I plan on renting from going forward?
