Through Reddit, I learned that this unassuming, eccentric little shop offered aura photography. It isn’t well advertised. I asked the shopkeeper if my boyfriend and I could get our aura photo taken together and was taken to a back room. The process was very fast, and I think it cost around $25. She didn’t do a deep reading or analysis. She just showed me a piece of paper on how to interpret my photo. I really wanted the photo and didn’t need the analysis so I didn’t care about getting a deeper reading ?

Super shop, the lady who runs the shop is a real Japanese woman who is open to explaining to you how each type of Japanese clothing is worn. She sells super quality vintage clothes that she brings back from Japan, with a very fair price.I highly recommend.

This place is a cut above the rest. Not to mention a long member of the neighborhood. The women's clothes here are utterly unique.

Small hole-in-the-wall store that is easy to miss if you're not paying attention. Interesting clothes, instruments, books and all sorts of Knick-knacks. I come for the aura photos and the friendly chats with the sweet lady.Recommended to call before you pop by. The store is usually open Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday!

A completely unique place .All-Japanese eccentric ...in the best way !The owner runs the store , She Is very reserved ,and very charming .I believe she also teaches private Koto ( biwa ?) lessons ,and the back room is a Japanese-language lending library AIll in a tight space (it's tiny) ,as I Imagine in Tokyo .She carries new clothing for women that I've never seen elsewhere ,and usually has interesting antique Japanese household items . And ,I think she also has t-shirts ,not the typical.AND....Her prices are very people-friendly .I guess you can tell that I like this store , I've been going for many years. I find the atmosphere both stimulating and calming .It's important to support small business ,this one is a bit of SFworth preserving .

The selection of kimono and fabric was second only to the helpfulness of the shopkeep. Within a moment of stepping through the door and seeing what this shop offered, I knew we would be carrying out a sizable quantity of clothing and fabric. That held true.I admittedly did spend some time considering the koto and how I might transport them back home, but ultimately the logistics of the matter overwhelmed my desire. This place is very easy to miss from the street. For those looking for vintage kimono, it should not be missed.

Surprisingly, there is a collection of (very old; quite a lot of last-century titles) Japanese books here. You won't be able to find those books in Kinokuniya or Forest. And those won't be nearly as affordable as in this shop on Amazon. Check this place out if you are into (dated) Japanese Literature.
