They reinserted my plastic under shield for free, told me I didn't need a new one. Honestly I thought I would have to pay $500 for a new one.

While I wasn't particularly excited about bringing my ILX in to a Honda Service Center, due to my past disdainful experience at Honda of Serramonte, I had quite a decent visit at this location. I had scheduled an appointment in the morning via the website and was attended by Geoff, who was amiable and polite. I was given an approximate turnaround time of two hours for the A1 service and had the keys in hand approximately two and a half hours after drop off. This is a long shot from the 45 minute or one hour guarantee I used to receive at most Acura service centers, but this was still reasonable to me. Realistically, I understand that Honda has a higher service volume and that the other Acura centers may have previously spoiled me. For the cherry on top, I was able to apply a very nice service special which made the visit worth it. While I had minimal interaction with my car's technician, he was also polite when handing me my key. I'm glad to say that I was pleased with the service and felt respected as a customer. This location will have my loyalty for the foreseeable future.

Spent 2 grand to fix an issue with my car, still had the same issue after. Reached out twice to resolve the problem, Honda said they’d call me back but never did. Technician wasn’t communicative at all, ended up having to pay another 2 grand to fix the problem at another shop.

Worst service in in the City. Appointment is for 11:30am, technician says service will not be done until the end of the day. What is the point of this appointment system? Because it's the end of the day, if you ask to pick it up the next day, they will charge you a storage fee.DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. THERE'S OTHER HONDA LOCATIONS IN THE CITY WITH ACTUAL SERVICE THAT WILL HONOR YOUR APPOINTMENT TIMES. THIS ONE WILL NOT.

Recently had my car serviced here because Acura of serramonte went out of business and SF Honda sent me a "first time" customer coupon. I needed an oil change and tire rotation and this location was convenient. Made appt, dropped off car and was told 2 hours. There is no customer lounge or even a chair at this location for one to sit and wait. However, there are many cafes in the area where one can easily grab coffee and wait out a couple of hours. I was told that this location only perform minor maintenance. One thing to note is that they wouldn't give me a price when I was on the phone making the appointment. The price I paid was good because of the coupon. My service writer was Eric and he was easy to work with.

I dropped off my car for the service the other day and there was a new guy at the counter. He said he's temporarily at this location, he works at the Van Ness Center. His name is Eric Chau according to the paperwork he gave me (Service Repair Summary). Eric provided excellent customer service. He was professional, efficient, organized, smiley, and patiently answered all the questions from a layperson (myself). Such a drastic difference as compared to the guy who usually works here... Thank you, Eric! Keep up the good work.

I’ve been taking my cars to 9th avenue for 15 years. They are friendly and good at explaining things and don’t seem to suggest unnecessary repairs. It’s Honda certified and dealer-affiliated, so the prices aren’t going to be the lowest, but their work has always been perfect.

My tire pressure light has been turning on monthly for about 6 months. I made an appointment here for the first time (I usually go to Van Ness location). The Assistant Manager Geoff "assisted me" and, when he found out that I had made the appointment for my tire pressure light, he laughed and told me that the light turned on because it was cold. He had one of the techs fill up the tires and sent me on my way about 5 minutes after I arrived. I was not satisfied with my experience and felt brushed off so just took my car into my usual Van Ness Service location. The service techs there actually looked at my tire and found a nail. My recommendation would be to skip this location because they obviously don't care and head to the Van Ness location.

This dude with arm tattoos charged me over $2,000 for a full service and I found out later from a less naive person that it should have been around $800. He knew I was a sucker because I said my dash light was broken when in fact it was simply manually dimmed down to nothing. Still. You shouldn't take advantage of people, especially if you represent Honda, because you are punishing your customers. He's got a cold demeanor and probably thinks of himself as a 'bad ass'. Anyhoo, I got a new Honda and a service contract at the SF Honda dealer so as not to be effed up the yingyang like I did that fateful day on 9th avenue.

If you don't know you way around cars, DO NOT COME HERE FOR SERVICE So my fiancé took our 2 year old Acura for a A17 service (Oil, Tire Rotation, Brake Fluid Replacement) with about 7,000 miles. (Yes, this Honda dealership services Acura's) My fiancé calls me on speaker phone with the service advisor (Geoff), since she know little about cars/car maintenance (I on the other hand generally work on my own cars but decide to service the Acura here for warranty purposes, but I digress) They quoted her $900+ which includes a transmission fluid service. Transmission fluid service for a 2 year old vehicle with 11k miles? That's utterly ridiculous! I responded by stating that does not need to be changed at 7k miles. Advisor response, "Well it's recommended at 3 year"... Well, its 2 years, so it's not needed. So we just ended up getting the basic service which was around $300+ This is a complete attempt at an upsell a service that's completely unnecessary and trying to take advantage of a female customer. We won't be back here.

I left the car 3 days in the shop to replace a part in a door that was loose. When I got the car back, after they called me, the door was not fixed, there were spare parts on the car floor, and the electrical system is all messed up (windows and sunroof not opening anymore). I complained and i was contacted by the HQ of SF Honda and the following week they fixed everything and even added extra services and repairs to make up for the inconvenience. A bad initial experience turned into a good one. Thanks for the help.Service: General repairs & maintenance
