This is a long overdue review for SF Differential Located In San Leandro Ca. I'm going to keep this simple and on point on how this horrible experience went for me. First off when the Owner Curtis says that he's been doing this for more then 25years you would feel so confident in his work, man was I wrong, I took my car in 1970 Buick Skylark for a gear and posi traction upgrade and Curtis was very sure that he can do the job with ease, so I said ok let's do it', I was willing to pay the price quote of 2600 to get this done, so after Curtis ordered the parts and got my car on the lift, he realized that one of the bearings does not fit, ok no problem, he calls the company who makes the bearings and is told that they don't make my year, after all said it done, Curtis couldn't do the work like he said he could but instead I pay to get my stock gears put back in and lose 3days of driving my car. Pretty much a waste of $1200 bucks and 3 days of my ride stuck at his garage. Stay away from this place.

I can't explain how much of a waste of time is I came to this shop more than 6 times & still couldn't get help all they did was keep telling me come back tomorrow & still could never get help even when they said they'll have it set up for me the next day then when I come they have someone else's car in the shop a complete waste of time & I don't recommend coming here if you want to keep getting disappointed

Curtis and crew did a very good on my car. I had a badly rusted differential housing that had to be replaced. I was patient with the repair timeframe, so it worked for me. Nice people, met Curtis too!

this place is a joke. I inquired about a ring and pinion swap and was told that he needed to locate a ring and pinion and with parts and labor would be $850 (kinda high on the price but somewhat understandable if they're having to source the parts and Mark up and also the labor). then I told him that I already have the ring and pinion bearings and seals and asked how much just for the labor. then proceeded to tell me that the labor would be $850. doesn't make much sense to me.

They installed my Kaaz 2 way LSD in my Z's diff. Little expensive, but got it within 2 days of dropping off. No problems yet.

We didn't get past the phone call. I asked for a price on resseting ring & pinion clearance. Kept insisting that I need to bring it in for inspection. Wouldn't give a price for a very specific service. I know what I need. He knows better? Ok 🙄
